    Small Grilled Chicken Salad

Another Door Dash lunch experience! The grilled chicken salad was delicious and fresh and the grilled chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I chose Greek Salad Dressing to accommodate my salad , no problems there. This is a nice size portion for one or two people ( with a I just want a side salad idea in mind). The coney dog was ok. I've tasted better chili , I prefer more onions and yellow mustard on mine . I can say they loaded us up with condiments. I guess they are worth stopping in and giving a try.

Classic Diner great location corner Southfield n Jefferson looking at the Detroit Riverfront. Unique since Covid you can order and eat your take out orders inside. Very busy loads of take out orders all day long. Very good food and low prices keep us coming back. The Big Sam Breakfast rules 8 bucks n change gets you 3 Eggs, Sausage Bacon Ham Taters n Toast my favorite. Love the Corned Beef n Cheese Egg Rolls Omg a must try a order of three. She Loves the Cheeseburger Sub combo with Fries n Slaw Delicious. Fast friendly service and very clean old school dining room. Note the place across the street SUCKS prices over 30 percent higher on everything. On my Facebook page Cheap Meals under 10 Bucks Enjoy

Service was great. Fantastic in fact. But the coney dog was bland. I have had better at the root beer stand. Fries were soggy but hot.

Didn't receive chili on the hash and fork utensils after i paid and tipped. It's almost a scam paying for what you won't receive

Only thing I don't like is the fries. They should change the brand they use or at least buy some seasoning on them

The present owner bought it about 6 years ago (from Dec 2012) who had owned it for 30 years. This place is a solid value.

The manager asked me to bring a burger back ten minutes after her employee offered us a credit, accused me of trying to get a free burger.

This was an awful table to be at in here. We hardly had elbow room or table space, especially after the giant platter sized bread was out with all of the breakfast/ brunch items for half of the table. I ordered the Fazolia. Everyone else got omelets, burgers or wrap items. Yes, a couple of team members weren't keen on ordering Fasolia with scrambled eggs, large Greek salad, 2 lahm sighar (one with potato and one quit eggs), 2 smashed burger, Yemeni scrambled eggs, chicken fajita, Greek skillet, southwest skillet, chicken wrap, coffee, tea without milk, Turkish coffee, mint lemonade refresher. Every team member said their food was good. The scrambled eggs are a tad runny and looked a bit puréed. The fasolia has good flavor and even better with some heat. It came out piping hot. Without the added eggs, this dish would be woefully lacking in substance for me. I would likely still be left hungry with the beans alone, since I don't eat the bread, generally. I tried the bread to give it a go, it's good. The Greek salad is nicely plated or bowled rather. The ingredients are in separate piles and looks like a pinwheel. The red onions were crudely cut. The tomatoes looked wrinkled and not so appealing. The Greek salad was underwhelming for me. The tea doesn't taste good, definitely need some honey, sugar or the milk here, although I favor nothing in my tea.

This place is definitely worth a visit if you are ever in the Detroit area. First things first,…read morethey do not take reservations and they are always on a wait, that should tell you that they are good. We arrived in the middle of a snowstorm on a weekday. It was a Friday though around 11am and, predictably, they had a wait. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. It was totally worth the wait. Their ambiance is cute- the hallway is clean, they have bench seating and they put you on the list to get a text, so you could sit in the car if you really wanted to; we did not. They could use a foyer though. It was 22 degrees and snowing so every time the door opened we were instantly freezing. The menu is massive so if you're trying this for the first time and you're from out of town, honey bring as many friends as you can so that you guys can order everything!! Theeeee must have that I tried were the smoked wings. I have never had wings that were smoked and then fried baby they were crispy. They were seasoned to the bone and were delicious. I almost ate them all and had no room for anything else. We also did the berry pancakes which could feed 3-5 people alone; second of all, they're not overly sweet, which is why I did berries and not the peaches or anything like that; and, third of all, the pancakes are the size of your face, but they are fluffy and melt in your mouth! These were easily top two pancakes I've had in my life. We also tried the shrimp and grits, also a 10/10. A generous portion of shrimp, not overcooked and the sauce was bomb. They do put bacon on it if you're not a bacon eater pay attention. I tasted around it anyways but yes, we also tried a vegetarian omelette with home fries. This was just a 7/10 but probably because we only ever tasted it reheated because we were too full to touch it. It was 3 entrees and an appetizer and was definitely enough food to feed a family of seven. This is a must visit place, so if you are in the area and have never been: make time!!!! And take some friends. Each plate is a day's worth of calories!

If you enter through front door, walk to back. We were immediately seated. Waitress was super friendly and fast service. I ordered the Za'atar avocado toast and they allowed me to sub in scrambled eggs instead of sunny side up. It was listed a starter and so I appreciated the smaller size. It was served with a side salad with yummy picked onions. I LOVED it. Although I would have taken even a little more Za'atar in the cream cheese. My cousin ordered the chicken and waffles. She thought the chicken had a little too much seasoning and didn't love it. But the portion was huge and could have just been a personal preference. Her son orders the huevos rancheros and he enjoyed it! Also ordered but no photos were the standard breakfast with beef bacon. I tried it and was quite delicious. Tasted more like pastrami than traditional pork bacon. Very unique. Would definitely come back if in the area. Super great vibe to walk around downtown.

Friday dinner. Super…read morenice people except for an errant young hostess who got very aggressive about taking a menu we were saving in order to get a to go order. Not nice about it at all. When you piss my laid back husband off you have definitely gone wayyy wrong. Our server was amazing though. Efficient and Uber friendly. We got our food quickly and piping hot, drink refills before needed. She was charming everyone in the room I think. Everyone seemed in a good mood. The food was nice. We especially likes our Cuban egg roll app. Stuffed full of meat, they had terrific flavor and were filling to boot. Made my husband thank about getting the sandwich next time. He had barbecued shrimp this time. Excellent bbq sauce. His sides of choice were really tasty vodka sauced pasta and just okay cheesy potatoes. I went with the piccata style perch which had great flavor, a perfectly done huge baked potato and a wreck of the loaded up brussels. The Brussels may do it for some but they were a no bueno flavor mess to me. Yikes. When I was nearly finished I got a big old bite of bone in my perch. The manager stopped by and was appropriately concerned, super apologetic. Offered us all kinds of freebies. I assured her it was not necessary. I truly enjoyed my meal there. I was stuffed and satisfied. We took prime rib melts to my parents and they were happy. Overall a nice food night. We will return.
