Duly's is the real deal, baby. Dogs, onion rings, chili, and every greasy breakfast you can imagine. Zero frills or nonsense. Sit at the counter, let the waiter know what you'd like, and simply enjoy the locals. Definitely felt like I stepped back into a time machine and went back to Queens in the 80's. There's a charm to small diners and when they ALSO have the original decor; it makes the experience just that much sweeter.

Patiently waiting for our chili-covered treats!

Duly's is the coolest kid in town! Been great for years and they are still slinging some of the best Coney fare in our fine city of Detroit. I thoroughly enjoyed/destroyed my loose burger with extra jalapeños... and grabbed a bowl of chili to take home for later. The service is impeccable and the ambiance is exactly what you would expect from a classic coney. No fancy neon and shit! Just a counter and some damn good food. Nuff said...see ya!

Went down to Duly's for the first time, and it did not disappoint. This is the best coney in Detroit by far!

What a legacy, established in 1921 and still holds much of the original character! We were so excited to find this spot on our day visit to Detroit and get a classic Detroit Coney Island Dog with chili cheese fries and a coke! It was sooo good and we loved the energy of this spot. Excellent service that feels like you have been transported back in time pre-technology when connection was more authentic. Highly recommend this spot to anyone considering!

Old school diner with reasonable prices. I eat here 1-2 times a year on the rare occasion when I get the chance to stop by Southwest Detroit for breakfast. I haven't tried the Coney dogs, but the hot dogs here received Anthony Bourdain's approval. I've had the breakfast food, grits, tuna sandwich, and fries. I recommend sticking to the breakfast items rather than ordering a sandwich. The tuna sandwich was pretty standard and not a standout on the menu. I've said this before in other reviews, but Detroit proper is the best place to get a cheap and delicious breakfast. Restaurants in the suburbs overcharge as much as 4x more for breakfast, and something is missing from the taste you get at a Detroit greasy spoon. The breakfast is simple and filling: eggs, meat, potatoes, and toast for $6.25 (cash only). An order of grits gives you a generous container, and if you say yes to lots of butter, they add a lot. However, the butter doesn't add much to the flavor. They should use salted butter. I love that places like Duly's are still standing, and it feels like not much has probably changed since it opened over a century ago.

Bourdain (rest in power) would never have led us astray. This place is a gem! Cheap, tasty food, made quick for you to essentially get in and get out. I got the coney dog and fries for $7.50. Taste was excellent and the French fries were plenty. Two things to note, interior is tiny and you have a 1 hour time limit on dining in. Additionally, it's cash only so be prepared. If you don't have cash, there is an atm across the street. I have yet to try any other coney dogs but very impressed with this one!

Hey, had to stop into Duly's! Anthony Bourdain was here in one of his many episodes, so I had to make the Pilgrimage since I was in Detroit last week! We all got the Coney Island dogs - all the way - Boom! It was awesome. The fries were perfectly done too. It's a little place full of character and charm...and some of the best dogs you can find...and I love dogs! Don't pass up this experience, fantastic service and food.

Hot dog, Better Made chips and soda. The best dog in Detroit and beyond.

Forget the others THIS is the BEST dog in Detroit and beyond. In Toledo we have our own favorites; but this is my favorite by far. Generous portions, delicious food and great service. This is a Detroit Treasure!

I love this place but today I went and got what I consider a basic breakfast and it was almost $20 and I know for a fact I can go anywhere and get what I ordered at duly for under $15. But other then that I do really like dulys place but not at the prices they are charging.

    Two coneys

Walked into Duly's because Bourdain did. Stayed because the coney dogs were straight-up magic. Two dogs, no regrets. The chili's messy in the right way, the onions bite back, and the mustard cuts through like it knows what it's doing. Nothing fancy here--just a counter, some stools, and the kind of food that reminds you why diners like this matter. It's greasy, beautiful, and honest. If you don't get it, that's on you.

Very narrow but has been doing the job for over 100 years!

This was my first time and definitely won't be my last. Nice portions, great quality and good prices. The best part? The people. The staff there are fantastic and as local as you can get. Everyone knows everyone and they let them know it. I ordered breakfast and of note, the ham had a great flavor. Again, highly recommend. I will be back.

From the moment I walked in, the ambiance transported me to a beautiful Mediterranean garden, with its gorgeous tiled floors, lush greenery, and warm, inviting atmosphere. It felt like a refreshing escape right in the middle of Detroit's historic cobblestone streets. It was the perfect setting for a long-overdue reunion with my sorority sisters, and Supergeil was incredibly accommodating, hosting our group of 14 women in the middle of Grand Prix weekend without missing a beat. We kicked off the evening with a few appetizers to share, including the hummus, deviled eggs, and meatballs. Everything arrived quickly and was an instant hit around the table. The standout was definitely the hummus, served with fresh, homemade pita that was unbelievably soft, fluffy, and packed with flavor. The meatballs were also delicious, perfectly tender, juicy, and well seasoned. For my entrée, I ordered the popular lamb and beef döner, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The portion was generous and beautifully presented, overflowing with crisp vegetables, fresh lettuce, garlic sauce, hot sauce, and the most tender, savory lamb and beef. Around the table, others enjoyed the Turkish ravioli with spiced beef and pork, more döner, and a variety of salads. Everyone loved their meals, and we couldn't resist passing plates around to sample a little of everything. It's the kind of restaurant that's perfect for sharing and enjoying with a large group. And what would a girls' night be without cocktails? If you're a fan of Two James spirits like I am, you're in for a treat. The bartenders create incredibly inventive cocktails from a seasonally rotating menu. I stepped outside my comfort zone and ordered the Open Kettle, made with coffee infused Doctor Bird Rum, cola reduction, coconut cream, and Underberg. It was unlike anything I've ever had! It was rich, tropical, complex, and with just the right kick. It's an absolute must try. Another crowd favorite was the Purple Gang, featuring lavender vodka, lemon, and butterfly pea tea, which gave it the most stunning purple hue. To finish the night, we ordered all three desserts to share: the burnt sugar tres leches, strawberries and cream, and the hot brownie with cinnamon ice cream. My favorite was easily the tres leches. It was light, creamy, and perfectly balanced with the crunch of burnt caramel and the subtle sweetness of coconut, it was a creative twist on a classic dessert. The warm brownie with cinnamon ice cream was pure comfort and a chocolate lover's dream, while the strawberries and cream offered a lighter finish with sesame brittle and hibiscus, creating a unique combination that reminded me of an elevated granola paired with a glazed donut cream. From the beautiful atmosphere and attentive service to the creative cocktails and delicious food, Supergeil delivered an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're planning date night, catching up with friends, or celebrating with a large group, it's definitely a spot worth adding to your Detroit restaurant list.
