Ordered twp chicken shawarma wraps to go. They were extremely dry, very little garlic sauce, with one tiny pickle. We won't be back.

What an interesting experience we all shared in learning about Armenian food! Lavash Grill is located of a large thoroughfare. Easy, accessible parking that's ADA friendly too. The interior is fresh, meticulously clean, and welcoming. Nice decor too! Armenian pastries are in a glass case for take out. I ordered Manti with a small, but fresh and delicious House Salad. Manti is a broth based soup with loaded with tiny spiced, ground meat dumplings. The Chef makes hers here by hand! The broth was good. Very filling too. My companion's meat omelet was fresh and tasty, but he found the flat meat pieces salty to his palate. He liked the Lemonade. Our other companions declared the handmade Vegetarian Grape Leaves the BEST ever. The house Hummus was a winner to them as well. Recommended! read more

Healthiest food around! The owner is very accommodating. She will cook the food the way you like, just let her know. The salad is the best around. She always gets an extra big tip from us because she's worth it! Absolutely the best french fries in the world! She can make them with healthier grease if you like. read more

Great place. They are Armenian so some small differences from Arabic food. Everything fresh made and very well made. Deboned chicken and baba excellent. Lamb chops, cut thin with lots of grilled flavor. Salads very fresh. read more

What a cool little place. Nothing over the top, but the Armenian cuisine is tasty. The Manti alone is worth the trip. The salad, as simple as it is, worth the order. Not over dressed and fresh to the pallet. Service is like being at home, always a conversation about anything you want. Stop by and give it a go. You won't be disappointed. read more

Delicious! I ordered a chicken shawarma and fries and it was amazing. The food was fresh and was one of the best shawarmas I've had. I would definitely visit again. If I could remove half a star, it would just be for being charged $2.12 for adding tomato and onion. Otherwise, no complaints! read more

Got the chicken gallaba, lunch. Large order of hummus/baba ghanoush. Soup was the winner. Subtle lemon taste. Full of flavor. So smooth. The chicken gallaba was good but not amazing. Salad was so-so as well. Hummus was smooth. Baba ganoush was unique and delicious. I'm glad I had it. Mom and pop mediterranean hole in the wall. Unassuming atmosphere as previously described. Very nice lady helped me order knowing it was my first time given my dietary preferences. If you want great mediterranean food at a reasonable price point and want to support a local business, come here. read more

So Happy the owner Jasmine change the name after 7 years to Lavash Grill now only full time Armenian Restaurant in Michigan. You can get all the authentic Armenian foods everyday along with great Middle Eastern too. We had a feast starting with Manti so marvelous, a mega Fatuous Salad n Hot Puffy Bread. A traditional Lahmacun outstanding Delicious . Gata is a lightly sweetened, buttery Armenian cake Oh what a treat. Thinly sliced Dry Black Pepper Sujuk n Bustrama OMG, no other place makes this unique Armenian Meat . My addiction the Armenian Cheese Boreg a must try on your visit. Stay tuned going back soon when new menu is printed. Including my original review to enjoy. Armenians firmly believe nothing bought from a store can compete with home cooking. For them foods made in the kitchen has it's own significance. By undertaking the care, concern n toil in serving, the host is giving part of herself to you. Jasmine the owner Master Chef provides just that. The American Dream after 2 decades as a RN in Armenian her dream came true just a year after the trip to her new country. Place listed as a Middle Eastern eating spot has a weekend unwritten menu that Armenian families travel from around Michigan to eat the joyful dishes of home. This by far a true hidden gem , my greatest find of this year. Yes we visited twice in one week. A 2 hour weekend brunch I asked for everything Armenian you have today. Starting with 2 different Lentils Soups one crushed n one whole who does this no one both outstanding balance of flavor on the menu daily. Large Armenian Salad, Toum, Hot Puffy Bread to share while the main feast prepared. Then BAM OMG think Italian Lasagna mucho better Sou beoreg is made with sheets and sheets of a pasta-like dough and stuffed with a cheesy filling. The silkiness and tenderness of the sheets marvelous . @lavash.grill.southfield #armenianrestaurant #armenianfood #mantı #soubeoreg #lahmacun #gata #sujuk #downriverfriendseat read more

Plymouth just got lucky! What a great place. Owner is amazing and friendly. In fact , everyone there was.friendly. The place was new 10 days old, warm and clean. The menu is extensive. I did carry out and everything was packaged so that nothing would get soggy. Now the food.... amazing! I only did fattoush with chicken and hummus but very yummy and much better than other local places. The chicken seasoning was so good. My husband loved it too. I will be a regular that is for sure!!! read more

The food was great. The crushed lentil stands up to the best lentils in the area. The garlic sauce was fantastic, and they bring out hot pita bread. Chicken shawarma was tender and delicious. Great service read more

It's an unassuming, narrow place. It's lot is a separate driveway from the rest of the shopping center lot. Entrance is closer to the entrance of the mall from Southfield road. The staff and chef are all wearing masks. Our waitress is attentive and bi We started off with a medium 16 ounce orange and carrot juice to share. Ordered a chicken Shish kafta, hummus (upgrade of $1.99) and a side of salad and a hummus with gallaba, that comes with lentil soup and a salad too. You definitely get more with the entree. They have pita pockets but not oven here. The house salad looks so fresh and I can smell the vinaigrette, it tastes good. The lemon crushed lentil is so smooth looking and it tastes perfectly lemony too. It's so good. I ate half of my husband's soup. I love the lemon. Their hummus is super smooth, rarely see and taste it this smooth, it's pretty good, not a lot of flavor. It's unbelievably smooth. The garlic spread is made with olive oil here too. Yeah! A light hint of a garlic, more would make or better. It should have a bit of bite from the garlic, it doesn't. The chicken gallaba is a small plate, but tastes good. The chicken kafta isn't bad, not a ton of flavor, some green coloring and hue from the parsley. It could use some chili, garlic seasoning or something with it. A hint of garlic or more spices would really make this chicken kafta even better. The best part of the chicken kafta is it's so moist and perfectly cooked. They don't have any of the chili or zest sauce here to amp up any of the hummus or meats here. Some sambal sauce would go well with this meat. The food and service here were all good. The hummus, gallaba and chicken kafta would all be better with them amped up with some more flavors, garlic and a bit of chili options would be sufficient even. The meat and entrees are made to order and the salad and lentils were all good. read more

I wish I had pictures of all the delicious food these two wonderful women conjure up. Lavash Grill - Chicken Shish Kabob Entree and chicken liver - Middle Eastern Near Me - Southfield, Michigan

Great Middle Eastern and Armenian food. And even better service at this family owned restaurant. We will be back.

Great hidden gem for Middle Eastern/Mediterranean - and especially Armenian - food! It's hidden in both name and location. Nestled in an unassuming suburban strip mall location, Farm Grill is a great haven for Armenian food. We only heard about it through the Armenian church grapevine. While there are many Armenians in Metro Detroit, there unfortunately are not many Armenian restaurants. The owner, Hasmik, is from Armenia and has a (not so) "secret menu" of Armenian staples like lahmajun, manti (Armenian dumpling) soup, and souboreg. The manti is absolutely a must have, they are filled with an amazing blend of meat and spices in a mouth watering rich broth. The "secret" Armenian menu is not actually all that secret - it's advertised in the front window. The Armenian menu is of course in addition to the expansive "standard" menu of pan-mediterranean delights like dolma, lamb, falafel, and more. The food is great and service is quick. I'll definitely be coming here again! read more

Went to southfeild to volunteer at my org and found that in was very hungry. I wanted to treat myself to something authentic. So I opted for Armenian. I went into this diner that was nestled in a plaza, kind of hard to get to was at the end of the road. Going in it's a middle eastern diner that also serves Armenian specialties which was the selling point to go. Coming in it was really nice and well kept, clean and pretty new seating. It was kind of like a Coney style with an open kitchen which is a unconventional choice for something that says fine dining. The waitresses were very nice and prompt with service. I called in a meal beforehand so I looked at the previous yelpers recommending the Armenian fare. I ordered the Manti, which is a tradional dumpling soup with sour creme and spice. It was very good hearty small bowl. The dumplings were fresh and the broth was flavorful. The spiced creme was a refreshing addition. Totally reccomend. They served bread and a salad beforehand. Which were both great Next came the soureg. A lasagna as advertised. It wasnt lasagna. It was more like phyllo with layers of cheese. Kind of like a saganaki. It was really just that a small plate of phyllo and mozzarella like cheese. I mean it could be ok as an plate to share I cant say anything to great about this one. It was very heavy. Should be an appetizer. Also the presentation wasnt great. Could of added some parsley or a round plate to compliment the dish or a mere sprinkling of spice to contrast the homogeneous sea of cheese. I definitely reccomend the walnut cake! It was not to sweet and prepared by them. Just the right amount of sweetness and it looks phenomenal. Its layers of walnut like cake. One thing that is concerning is the price however. Through me off guard ordering the non menu items. The Manti, soup is $15.99. I thought they made a mistake and added a 1 before the 5.99 but apparently it's an entree with a small salad and bread basket it comes with, which I would of guessed was the appetizer. For a small soup like dish they should advertise the price or atleast give the option to have it as an entree before giving an order. The other soups were like 3.99. It was my lack of due diligence to ask the price before so lesson leanred. Also next time would like to order the middle eastern dishes they look like their fresh. Overall left with a full meal so I cant be anything but satisfied. Mazadarpoints 83/100 read more

I got carry out. I thought the food was ok. the lamb was good and tender but the chicken was dry. plenty of food.

Great service and home-made food quality makes this place a jewel. There are Armenian cuisine items off-menu so ask the staff about it. I only ordered the fresh pressed juice and lentil soup and both were truly very good, service was a tad impatient ( we had never been their so were thoroughly looking over the menu to see all that was offered which of course took time because the menu has a lot of offerings) we were asked three times were we ready while still reviewing the menu? which supports the tad impatient comment. Do try this restaurant as simple and plain as I can put it. read more

Delicious food and they had great service. Glad we tried this place out. Will be back

I Stumbled upon this place after leaving work and just strolling for some dinner. Friday at about 6pm It was pretty empty. I remember this location used to be a soul food place that also struggled with customers. It's really in an odd location, hard to see from the street. Without actually driving into the parking lot ( right by planet fitness, big lots, Forman mills, big boys etc) you wouldn't even know it's there. But the food was pretty good and the staff was very friendly. I had the shish Kafka and fries, with soup and a slice home made cake nicely priced for 20 bucks. The cake was awesome and very fresh. The lamb was moist. I'll try this place again if I'm in the area. read more

We dined in, and the place was empty. A bunch of takeout orders were picked up, so maybe that's their forte now. The food was ok but not as good as the LaMarsa chain. Despite advertising all food made in-house, the chicken-rice-lemon soup definitely was not. Or at least, not on Sunday night. read more

Absolutely love this place! Get the garlic spread, it's the best!! The women here are lovely and always so nice.

As someone who is of middle eastern descent I can vouch for what is authentic and what isn't. The food here is not made with enough attention to detail. A watery, and very bland chicken lemon rice soup. Chicken slightly over cooked, and chicken cream chop with virtually no seasoning incorporated in the breading. The food here isn't horrible and does taste fresh. The methodology in the kitchen and cooking techniques need to be improved. Great service overall. read more

I took my dad here for his birthday yesterday. It's the first time I've eaten here. I picked it because of the great reviews. Wow, were the reviews right. This little place is unassuming based on the decor but the food is top notch. Every single thing tasted so good but, more importantly, it sat well in the body after, the mark of healthy food. I have had probably 50 different falafel sandwiches in my life and this may have been the best of them all. I mentioned this to the woman who had made it and she laughed and said that she actually hears that often. She described all of the extra vegetables that she puts into the patty that make it unique. I'll be coming back here a lot. read more
