I hate to give Mr. Kabob one star because I really love the food there, at least at the Troy location, but we have tried two times now to get delivery from them via DoorDash and both times they canceled it. Why are you even on delivery if you're not going to deliver? To rub more salt in the wound, the reason we chose them is because they were offering a 30% off deal. They canceled my boyfriend's order yesterday and because of that, we were not able to use the deal on his account. Tried to use it on my account and same thing, they canceled the order right away. I got almost every topping in my bowl. The chicken shawarma meat isn't warm but it's decently flavored. I started with a bed of lettuce, garlic sauce, Jalapeño cilantro hummus and tabouli, added the cucumber salad, feta, picked cabbage, pickles, beets, chick peas too. Some of the chicken shawarma meat was a bit fatty and sinewy, but overall, it wasn't bad. I topped mine with the spicy garlic and hot sauce It's quite chilly inside. I love me a good Chicken shawarma, this one did not disappoint. Take or leave the fries don't really care for them. The wrap was on point! Only thing negative is a prefer cubed/chopped chicken instead of shaved/shredded. It was different last time when I saw a friend's bowl. All selections look great, can't choose wrong I don't think. This location used to be subpar compared to Troy, but Troy's owner took over, and it's a lot better now. The food here tastes just as good as Troy, but I think they have even more generous portions. I had the chicken shawarma bowl - moist, tender, chargrilled chicken thigh meat with lettuce, hummus, couscous, pickles, feta, pita chip crumbles, and tahini sauce. It is one of my favorite meals to get and everything is fresh! When I asked for pita chips with my bowl, they gave me a full bag, whereas I only get a little handful at Troy. They also gave me a bowl of complimentary lentil soup, which was pretty hearty and tasty. I also got falafel on the side - seasoning on point like at the other locations, although these were a bit on the small side (hopefully just a fluke). I love this place! They pack your bowl or wrap with as much food as will fit for $10. There are so many fresh ingredients and flavors; you could get different flavor combinations each time you go, if you wanted. I go for the falafel bowl, myself. I've been going to the Mr. Kabob inside of the Sunoco station in Berkley for years. It is close to work and basically my go-to place when I go out for lunch. But today, I needed to be in the area of Mr. Kabob Express in Southfield, so I decided to give it a try. It's a completely different concept. My favorite is the fattoush dressing and chicken kabobs. They also give generous portions of toppings, especially the protein. Note, if you want kabobs when it's not during the lunch rush, make sure you anticipate there will be a little bit longer wait as they make it fresh to order. I would defiantly recommend Mr. Kabob to anyone looking for a tasty lunch option near this part of Southfield. The Build Your Own Bowl is my immediate go to, and it hasn't let me down yet. The flexibility one can have to their taste, as well as some good add-ons. The bowl is quite filling, but if you saved enough room, the baklava would hit the spot. The cost for the dish within itself is a good value, along with getting the baklava in addition to that. The only other add-ons I've tried is the Falafel and Grape Leaf. Both tasted good, but the cost for the Grape Leaf seems steep for the size of it. Overall excellent establishment, and I now frequent often, and you should stop by too! read more

It's clean, well-staffed, and the staff is always helpful. This is an assembly line style Mediterranean food restaurant. You stand there and point to the items you want added to the menu item of your choice. The last time we ordered a Chicken Shawarma bowl and a Chicken Shawarma wrap. The bowls are large and tasty. The wraps are very large and loaded with items you choose. I have realized that the more items you add, the heavier the wrap and it will inevitably fall apart before you finish it. The smoothies are delicious and healthy. The falafels are good but I have had better. They have the best tasting Baklava (dessert) sitting on the counter. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mr Kabob Express on 12 Mile Rd near Telegraph if you want fresh, tasty and healthy meals and smoothies for lunch or dinner. You get see all of the normal Mediterranean choices and you get to either choose a bowl or a wrap. Many of these places skimp when they give you choices except this place piles it on high. By the time they're done you get so much food in the bowl that you can barely close the lid. First you get to choose a spread hummus or garlic. I went with the garlic. Then they give you salad or rice or brown rice grilled vegetables. And even better, is that you can have faults or choices. Then you get to select to boule or chopped cucumber or bunch other options. Finally you choose your meet. Some of the meat is pre-cooked so you can get a fast like the chicken shawarma or the gyro meat.
