Delivery was great. The food was hot on arrival. They gave us so much food we could not eat it all. I like Falafel King. I think I went there first over 13 years ago, so they sure have the "staying" power. The reason for that is most likely that the food is good. I have never had the Shawarma, only the Hummus, Baba, Fattoush, Majadra, Tabbouli and, of course, Falafel. All are good and tasty. The value is also good and tasty, especially considering the freshness and portion sizes. I guess when you run a going restaurant for a long time, you learn that price/value are really the key to longevity. The prices ARE reasonable and the portions are generous. In my exprience, the service is fast. My only little criticism is that the place needs a new coat of paint. The interior is tired, it strikes one as being a tiny bit 'dingy' when you walk in, but it IS a take-out place. (They do have a few seats inside.) If you like Mediterranean take out, then this place is definitely worth checking out. read more

I decided to give this place a try. I've been avoiding this place for a little while, since my husband was not keen on trying it. The man that took my call, put together my order and cashed me out. The entree containers looked so full, one for the meat, rice and veggies and one smaller container for the salad and the hummus. It's filled mostly with rice, as I noticed once I ate a few pieces of meat. I tried a few pieces of the shawarma meat, seemed decently flavored. The chicken Tawook meat were big chunks of meat, rather dry and didn't have much flavor to it, hummus and the garlic butter helps to get it down. The portion is decent for the size. The yoghurt salad was fresh but the pita was too flat and dry. The lamb kibbee seems small and is kind of greasy but the tastebis pretty good. I had an Uber Eats coupon so I decided to give it a shot and order two meals (I tend to do this so I can have something for the following day). I'm going for a stretch, trying beef schwarma at Falaffel King. Verdict...maybe stick with falafel. When I think of schwarma, I always think of the rotating rotisserie. One of the reasons why it's so effective is that it keeps all the flavor and moisture in the meat. When it's thinly sliced and put onto a grill, say goodbye to all the juices. This is the case for their beef schwarma. The flavor with the spices were fine, but because it's thin and on the grill, it turned out pretty dry and chewy. The rice underneath wasn't bad, spiced well, but also a little dry. The salad that came with it had a typical "fattoush" dressing and it probably was the best part of the lunch. It also came with hummus which was creamy and pretty good flavor. Another disappointment, the garlic dressing. Another yelper pointed it out and they were absolutely right. It tastes like ranch dressing mixed with garlic. I usually wipe the garlic sauce clean, in this case, it's going in the trash. Don't worry, I'll recycle the container! read more

I didn't go here for years because from the outside it looks like a dump - seriously it looks like a muffler store or something. But my buddy swore by it and I finally went about 2 years ago for the first time. It is super duper good. The hummus is nice and garlicky and the pita was the right amount for the job. He got shawarma which I don't eat, but he says it is the best. Being a bit of an Arabic food connoisseur I like to think I know my stuff - and this was tasty.
