During the procedure, she consistently checked on me to make sure I was comfortable and not in pain. Her care and attention truly made a difference. She did an amazing job getting a very stubborn tooth out, and I felt such relief once it was finally completed. Her assistant was also incredibly supportive and comforting, working seamlessly alongside Dr. Nouri the entire time. After the procedure, I was sent home with antibiotics and pain relief medication, along with clear instructions. At my follow-up appointment, Dr. Nouri carefully checked my healing, smoothed out part of the bone graft area, and made sure everything was progressing well. She took the time to explain everything in detail and genuinely cared about how I was feeling. The entire staff was warm, welcoming, and professional. They even found a charm that had fallen off in the chair and kindly texted me to ask if it was mine, letting me know they would safely hold onto it for me. That level of thoughtfulness meant a lot. I was told I had a few cavities that needed to be treated, and one of the teeth was borderline, meaning there was a possibility I could eventually need a root canal. I understood that risk and decided to move forward with treatment. Unfortunately, that's when my experience started going downhill. For my first filling, I had to come back twice because it wasn't filled properly. Instead of feeling better, the tooth hurt even more after the treatment than it did beforehand. The worst experience was when I came in for my crown. After the crown was cemented into place, it shifted. The doctor then tried to reposition it without numbing my mouth. I'm not sure exactly what he was doing, but it genuinely felt like he was using a small hammer to tap the crown into place. It was extremely painful. The dental assistant could clearly see how much pain I was in and wanted to numb the area. As she was preparing the topical anesthetic before the injection, I heard the doctor say, "No topical, just give me the injection." After already enduring nearly an hour of pain, skipping the topical only made the injection more painful. Even after the injection, he still wasn't able to get the crown positioned correctly. I had to come back so the same doctor could adjust the crown placement. Unfortunately, even after that adjustment, I was still in constant pain. I couldn't bite down on that tooth, I woke up with pain every morning, and it honestly felt worse than it did before the treatment. I had already paid over $500 for the crown, so I felt like I had no choice but to keep coming back. At my next visit, I requested a different doctor because I still wasn't improving. The new dentist took my concerns seriously, completed a thorough evaluation, and explained that I now needed a root canal. I understand that this was a possibility from the beginning because the tooth was borderline, so I'm not blaming the office for that diagnosis. My frustration is with how painful the crown procedure was and the lack of empathy I felt while I was clearly in pain. I was referred to an endodontist for the root canal, and the experience there was night and day. The doctor was incredibly attentive, compassionate, and considerate throughout the entire procedure. I felt heard, cared for, and comfortable from start to finish. Ironically, the root canal was a far better experience than getting the crown. I do want to be clear that my experience with the office as a whole wasn't all negative. Every other staff member I interacted with--including the front desk, assistants, and the second dentist--was kind, considerate, and professional. The dental assistant who was with me during my crown appointments was especially compassionate. She recognized how much pain I was in, listened to my concerns, and truly made me feel heard. My review is not a reflection of the entire office. It's specifically about my experience with one doctor. However, after experiencing the level of care I received at the endodontist's office, I've decided to transfer my general dental care there rather than return here. The difference in patient care was significant, and it showed me how important empathy and communication are during dental treatment. I genuinely hope my experience was an isolated one because everyone else I encountered at this office was wonderful.

I just had 2 small cavities taken care of yesterday and I went in there with such ease knowing I was in good hands based on my previous experience with Dr. Akkari. Once again, the whole process was completely pain free and I was out of there in less than an hour (the procedure itself was at most 15 minutes). Also, I cant understand why there are a few negative reviews about their receptionists. Rita has always been super sweet & I can't remember the other ladies name but they have always been super polite and helpful with scheduling, rescheduling, checking in & helping me get a referral to an oral surgeon.
