Me and our guides Randy and Jordan
    George E.

If you've read my reviews you know I only review thoroughly if something is really bad or really good. It feels like forever but this is an overwhelming awesome adventure. I of course will give an objective positive and negative because most things have room for improvement. So with all this covid junk interfering with summer vacation I wanted to get awsy with my son and this sounded good. I called and asked about availability and the hirl who answered was so helpful and enthusiastic. When I had more questions a few days later a guy answered and he was just as pleasant and helpful. When I realized I was calling at 8pm I appologized and he said that they ste always on call. So i went to book for us and my daughter and it went smoothly. I was so busy with work that the day before we left I realized I didnt know what to prepare but then that day someone called to pre-emptively give me the rundown. So helpful! We left our hotel in Williams and got to where the gps took us and I was a bit confused that there were no signs. Called and someone answered and reassured me I was in the right place. Went to check in and was told they didnt have our waivers which I know I filled out online so that was a bit annoying to do again. The bus ride to the river was bumpy but no big deal and as soon as we got there we were greeted by our guide Randy and his trainee Jordan. They made introductions righ off the bat and remembered our names. That may seem minor but it certainly sets the tone for good rapport. The rapids were so much fun- we were lauging the while time, getting soaked and felt perfectly safe. Randy was a great host- explaining landmarks and history as we went and both of them were constantly offering us snacks and drinks even though we brought our own. Our own pack was safe and dry the entire trip and we never felt that anything was scary or that they didnt know what they were doing. We stopped at a very cool waterfall which was a nice break. We stopped for lunch which they provided- nothing fancy- hoagy sandwiches with fruit- and they looked and tasted fresh. Worried about who packed them? That's your problem. The Arizona Indian tribes have been hit very hard by covid and they take it very seriously so I am confident that the food was prepared in a sanitary fashion. And none of us are sick. So we stopped a few more times so th as t we could jump in the water because it does get very hot. We got to see the skywalk from down below and officially saw the end of the Grand Canyon. I was very happy to give our guides tips because they made it a great adventure. So ready for the negatives? 1- something that only God or Mother Nature could change- all the rapids were at the beginning. So they rapids were done within the firat 2 hours. The rest of the trip was flat- beautiful but flat. 2. The bus ride back is a drag. Raft from 9 to about 5 and then a 2 hour bus ride back to where you started. Then add your own drive back to where youre staying and youre racing to find dinner at a place that's open. It may seem expensive but when you factor in labor, the equipment and food, it's well worth it for a super memorable adventure. Do it!

Just do it! What an amazing adventure! You will never forget it. I waited to long to see this amazing place. The Hualapai family is a wonderful great people so warm and beautiful they made me feel absolutely safe. I met some really wonderful people on the tour. We all had a great vibe going, I just applauded our tour guide Louis what a wonderful personality. To our new friends Laurie and family I hope you all made it home safely and that our prayers have been answered. Hugs Lydia and Gabby.

I would have given 5 stars but the only problem was the cost for the GoPro vid. Otherwise, great experience to remember a lifetime

This was my first Grand Canyon experience and it was by far the absolute best way to experience the Grand Canyon.

Agent was not dependable - didn't return calls, texts or emails timely, if at all. 2. Inconsistencies, untimely and lack of communication from the agent. 3. Agent didn't complete airline reservations properly - resulted in additional expense. 4. Agent lacks attention to detail - itinerary was missing a round trip flight. 5. Agent is not familiar with airline policies. 6. Incomplete hotel information from Agent - hotel was closed; I was not notified. 7. Agent didn't inquire at hotels for perks and additional charges - added charges after the stay. 8. Agent was not truthful - stated information was sent to me that was not sent.

We used Daniela Harrison who booked us a trip to Mexico. The resort was nice but the trip was…read moreoverpriced based on what we later found out they charged for their rooms. The bigger issue, however, was her lack of knowledge regarding the passport requirements for travel between the US and Mexico and her insistence that she was right about said requirements and condescending tone when talking to or emailing my wife and I when we pointed out her error. There is NO REQUIREMENT that passports be valid for at least 6 months beyond the length of stay for citizens of either country traveling to the other like for some other countries. There is a reciprocity agreement whereby this is waived. She was so sure she was right that she suggested we either a) drive 300 miles to do an instant 1 day renewal, b) send in for a renewal with no time to spare (the guy at the passport office said don't risk it), or 3) pay an exorbitant fee to some expediting company who is unlikely to deliver. Ultimately we ignored her advice and just used the passport in question with no issues but it added a considerable amount of unnecessary stress to an already stressful time to travel. We would not use her again or recommend her.

I'm happy I called anyway because I was able to book and it's Nov 23 ! So call anyway cuz we all know the internet is not always accurate and I prob miss read as well. Their office is great w a couch, couple chairs, restrooms, outlet to charge phone. Get there early cuz Ubers can be quick or delay in Flagstaff winters due to rain and snow. I got a comfortable ride to Camp Verde, an hour away. I wish they went into Prescott but we can't always get what we want in life! I'm blessed that my Prescott friend is picking me up in CV. I've also taken Groome in the middle of nowhere Montana. This is a great comfortable transportation company that gets you there in any weather, rain and snow. My drivers have always been pleasant. The office guy in Flagstaff is an absolute love. I missed my first shuttle and had to call about 6 times with questions and changes and he was above and beyond courteous and helpful to me. Always be sweet in life cuz you catch more with honey than being spicy! For an extra charge, Groome can pick you up around Flagstaff, if you don't want to chance it with Uber! Happy Travels!

Wow. This was not a good customer service experience…read more I called and very politely and calmly asked Liz if I could speak with her supervisor regarding what she said was a credit-only policy rather than a refund policy. My trip is still more than five weeks away, and plans changed because a friend offered to personally drive my teenager to the airport instead of having him take a shuttle at 2:00 a.m (which makes me extremely nervous as mom). Liz refused to provide her supervisor's contact information and would not allow me to speak with a manager. I asked a few times (again, very politely and calmly) and then she told me she would be ending the call instead of letting me speak with her boss. That was disappointing and left me feeling like there was no way to escalate an extremely reasonable request. I am not changing his trip to Flagstaff. Only the one from Flagstaff to the airport because of it being at 2:00 am. After reading several other reviews, I'm also concerned about reports of last-minute cancellations. The combination of those reviews and my customer service experience does not inspire confidence. Extremely frustrating to be denied any opportunity to speak with someone who would actually review the reservation and have authority to make something other than a black and white response without even trying to understand.

I took a trip with BCJ the beginning of August 2021. The itinerary was Glacier National Park…read moreHiker's version. I was supposed to be on that trip exactly a year before. Something happened, I can't remember what. BCJ was very accommodating of the situation, holding money, moving trips, etc... This brings me to my first comment because of my first contact. Because of the year delay, I was in touch with the email support way more often than I am sure they appreciated. Every single email exchange was so pleasant, helpful, and asking if there were follow up questions. Never have strangers cared so much about my wellbeing, and overall contentment with life. Turns out I met one of these stranger email supporters, he was a guide on the trip. Freddy something-or-other, from Canton, if I remember correctly. On to the actual experience. I was both so excited to participate in this kind of get together, but also very nervous and apprehensive. I am a bit of a socially awkward person, and I have never done a photography workshop before. I will probably be the worst, right? Wait, worst? Is this a competition? What am I doing. That is just a short narrative from my thoughts about a workshop with BCJ, or anyone I don't know. All of the fears and paranoias were dissolved in Whitefish. My first interaction was with the 2 guides, Kenton & Michael. I drove from Maryland to Whitefish. I had 9 days to be at a hotel in Whitefish on a Sunday at 5pm local time. 9 days. I got there with a half hour to spare, it took me 6000 miles. I traveled properly. Within a few minutes of the end of that driving adventure, I imposed on the guides, because they had the telltale BCJ hats on. I guess our group had a unique experience. The guides were already friends, and they immediately treated me like I had known them each as long as they knew each other. It was beautiful. A perfect situation for the guy with all the awkward social issues. What a lucky boy I am. I am sure the rest of the group felt similar. The guides knowledge was far superior to mine. If I left not knowing something, it is my own fault. Probably because I was busy telling a long, dull, story, that nobody cared about, most likely involving Geocaching. The guide/guest ratio was 3/1 (I think, math...you know). There was ample time to get dedicated insight. This was my first photography workshop, group event, whatever you call it. It won't be my last, and BCJ will be my first place to look. Thanks for a fantastic time, keep up the great work, and I hope to cross paths again.
