We came in for an early afternoon bite, between lunch and dinnertime and as expected, it wasn't crowded and lively music was playing. There were around 3 tables occupied, and a good amount of people at the bar. We had never been here before, and we couldn't decide what we wanted, but we were hungry so we chose something substantial from the menu. Ended up having the Mixed Tray with some Modelo. Holy crap, it was huge. It had grilled steak (the menu said roast beef, but it was what I expected), chicken, chicharron, shrimp, chorizo, and fried yucca. Everything was delicious and we ate as much as we could, but had to bring home more than half of it. We would definitely go back.

How are "employees" much less the rest of us supposed to wash anything off of your hands ....think about it. I told the bartender I would pay cash for my drink(s) due to paying for my food with a corporate card. First margarita...$17, no bill. Second drink vodka soda....$17, no bill. I asked her about the charge, she said "oh that was a double" I didn't order a double, and as an ex bartender, that wasn't a double. So, as someone that remembers all the tricks, she's not only ripping me off, she's ripping off the business, because she isn't ringing up doubles on the register. Oh, and for my work, I carry a pocket knife. They have a security guard there. It's 6pm....what kind of establishment am I in? He politely came over and said that he had to keep the knife until I decided to leave. LOL ..no sir. I'm out and never coming back. Customer beware.

Found out later that it was formerly Watami. I recognized the window view from the inside. Arrived a few minutes before our reservation, and we were seated right away at a cozy corner. The place had several tables occupied, and it looks like we got there at the right time. Drink and appetizer orders were taken, and we had a little time to look through the menu. A bottle of wine and a couple of cocktails came out and entree orders were taken promptly. I had looked it up ahead of time, and had my sights set on the Paella Valencia. We also got the Grilled Octopus (perfectly grilled and seasoned), empanadas which were smaller than I expected, but delicious (Might have been too much if they were bigger). we also had the seafood-stuffed jalapenos, and calamari for appetizers, and others in our party got the lamb chops, stuffed sole, and salmon for their mains. I finished my entire pot of paella, it was fantastic. I always like when the chef comes around to see firsthand how the guests are enjoying their meals, and Chef Nunez did just that. I think we'll bring other people here next time, there were many other items that caught my eye that reminded me of our time in Spain.

Turns out there was a Christmas party happening in the back, must have been quite the rager. We were referred here by some locals that seemed to know most of the wait staff so that seemed promising. The drinks were average the food was SUPERB. We were a fairly large group (maybe), there were 8 of us. The food presentation was that of a high end restaurant, and it was definitely not my typical menu so that was a nice change of pace. Don't expect a Chilis menu or some other basic chain menu. One downfall, one of the dinners came out about twenty minutes after everyone else's. The manager took care of it which was the decent thing to do, maybe it was mixed into the party room, idk. Overall a great experience.

Came up in a conversation the other day, so thought maybe I should finish it. Came here on a quiet night with some friends. My dinner mates are locals, so they have been here a handful of times. They said that service was up and down, but the steaks were always pretty solid. Therefore, most of us got some red meat. Anyway, all the steaks were cooked pretty well, though my favorite was certainly the skirt steak. Full of umami and juicy as can be, this steak was delicious. The ribeye was cut a bit too thin for me, which why we had to return it the first time due to being overcooked. The new ribeye was cooked properly. The carne asada in the Bandejo Paisa was a bit tough, but extremely flavorful. Rest of the plate was good too. We also had two seafood dishes, which were both decent. Sadly, the service didn't really match the food quality. It was mostly absent for the entire meal. Then when we returned the ribeye, the owner showed clear dismay and sarcastically pointed out that our gray colored steak was edible. Sorry, but we ordered it medium rare. We should not be receiving any attitude for a steak that had zero pink left in the center. Please adjust your attitude. Ultimately, the food is good enough for us to return. However, it's hard to support an owner who does not understand how to treat their customers.

We came for happy hour and sat at the small bar. Would recommend coming early if possible if you're trying to snag the happy hour deals, as this place fills up. I kicked things off with a seasonal happy hour beer which I was happy with. My brother got a gin and tonic which was the fanciest gin and tonic I've ever seen made. The bartender really went above and beyond with adding garnishes. We were here for the R.AIRE burger night which was one of the best burgers I've had (apparently award winning - and well deserved). Juicy and cooked to perfection, with crispy delicious fries all for $11.50? Yes please. We also had the crispy artichokes and garlic shrimp, all delicious. The ambiance is bright and inviting here. Our bartender really went above and beyond to explain everything to us and make recommendations as well. One of the best happy hours in Hampton Bays, for real.

As a busser at The Patio, Christian transcends the expectations of his role with a level of diligence, awareness, and professionalism that is nothing short of extraordinary. He does not merely clear tables -- he orchestrates the dining room with the precision of a seasoned conductor, ensuring every surface is immaculate, every transition seamless, and every guest experience elevated. Christian possesses an almost preternatural sense of timing. Tables are reset before one even realizes they need attention, and the flow of service is noticeably smoother whenever he is on the floor. His work ethic is relentless yet graceful, efficient yet thoughtful -- the kind that silently holds an entire operation together. What truly distinguishes Christian, however, is his presence. He approaches his responsibilities with humility, poise, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. He supports servers proactively, anticipates needs without being asked, and maintains a calm, professional demeanor even during the most demanding rushes. The dining room feels more polished, more organized, and more welcoming because of him. It is rare to encounter someone who treats their position not as a task, but as a craft. Christian Brown exemplifies what hospitality should look like at its highest level. Any restaurant would be fortunate to have him; The Patio is elevated simply by his presence. In short: Christian is not just one of the best bussers I have ever seen -- he is one of the finest hospitality professionals in the industry.
