I don't know what other people expected from L&D but from my experience they were knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating. Other stone suppliers wanted to put a seam at the center of my sink because it's a long run but L&D didn't do that. The one seam I have in my kitchen is minimal and not noticeable unless you look for it. Customers need to keep in mind that you can't always get what you want with natural stone. If it break they aren't going to want to pay for an additional slap. I recommend L&D. My advice is to take a breath and shop around. We have a beautiful updated kitchen and we literally saved thousands and got the same aesthetic we would have gotten from other more expensive companies.

I sent quote request to this guys with several pictures of my kitchen that shows layout. But after several back and forth they were not able to provide me an estimate. They require you to do this over the phone even if there is zero reason to do so. They had all necessary information to provide estimate for me but they just wasted my and their time. The quality of his workmanship wasn't so much the issue- but his attention to detail during the templating process. We chose two granite slabs for a large project which involved a 9 foot island and smaller project for another home. One of the slabs had a river of quartz running through the middle and was templated to be the center focal point of the island. When installation day came, we were surprised to find that the island had no quartz running through the center. We couldn't figure out what went wrong. When the second granite countertop was delivered to our daughter's home for install- there it was. The quartz was placed in front of the kitchen sink. This mistake really showed a lack of caring for customer wishes and a template appointment that was a waste of time. Pretty disappointing. Seams weren't that inconspicuous- I've since had other stone projects with smaller seams.

Instead of answering those questions, Tom responded in a dismissive and unprofessional way, asking whether I had read the estimate or looked at their website, and saying I could call him if I was "serious about doing business" with them. As a customer, I believe it is completely normal to ask detailed questions before hiring a contractor, especially for a home project involving cost, materials, and installation details. The lack of clear answers and the tone of the response made me lose confidence in moving forward with this company. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company if you expect clear communication and respectful customer service.
