So one of the ladies from the gym recommended this place to me and I'm glad I took her advice. I went the morning of 2/14 and it wasn't too busy. It's super cute inside and the staff is very friendly! I'm not sure if the raspberry pancakes are only on special but they need to be kept 1000000/10 home fries 9/10 turkey sausage 10/10 the crab balls 8/10 the Cajun pasta 4/10...just needs a little more flavor. I can't wait to go back!

I had reservations for lunch and was seated promptly. Hostess and waitstaff were very nice and attentive. The food was good. Seasoned well. Something I wasn't expecting. Usually grilled salmon isn't seasoned much but this one almost had too much. The fries were great. The Sante Fe salad was a hit. Not to big, not too small. Will order again. The decor is muted gray with lots of window lighting. This is my first time here and I will definitely be back. I was too stuffed to try dessert. Maybe next time.

This is a nice restaurant that opened up in the new development. The interior is clean, organized, and stylish, the vibes are great for a family lunch or a dinner with friends. The staff are friendly and welcoming, but service was a bit slow. Nonetheless, the food was delicious! I am excited to come back another time to try other delicious items on their menu.

Service - amazing. our waitress was very attentive, courteous, and had a sense of humor. she was accommodating and very easy to make conversation with. Ambiance - pretty good! the lighting was nice and dim. the architecture of the building is new and well designed. our table was a bit wobbly... that would be our only complaint. The food - satisfying. The portions was large, the food was very tasty and flavorful. the burger and fries were a little on the cool side but the rest of the food was nice and warm. Overall, we'd come back here and recommend it.

Amazing local neighborhood bar and grill. Perry hall needed this. Plenty of parking. Plenty of seating for game days !!!! I can definitely see myself coming to watch here for up coming away games . Great bar food . Mon -Friday 3-7 good happy hour. My fav thing so far is southwest egg rolls and crab dip. Best entree was their salmon that I tried . I will be back to try more of the menu.

Heard about this new place when we were eating out at another area restaurant. It's a great 'everyday elevated' spot. More than a neighborhood pub and grill, not quite fine dining. Good food without the fuss. Loved the new digs. Clean, bright, spacious. Almost a touch too crisp and sharp ... could feel a little homier but I can't knock a place for being clean and bright, so let's move on. Great service. Our server clearly had experience and knew her drinks and the menu. She knew what to ask and was around when you wanted her. Props. The food had promise. Good menu variety. Wish the crab dip was more lump than sauce, couscous was cold on a warm plate, spinach side was prepared great just was sparse. That being said, the salmon, itself, was very well prepared. My drink was a decent mix. Definitely welcome a new restaurant in town and for a few refinements to the meal prep.

The crab dip is a big disappointment; it has barely any crab meat in it. What's worse is the menu description claims that it has "jumbo lump" meat. The Prime Rib Cheest Strak was good. The steak meat was on the dry side, but the queso sauce saved it. The fries were fine, nothing special.

The food and drinks were delicious. Service was quick. The music was too loud. I would go back with a group rather than date night.

Food was delicious and service was good. We had a reservation which was clearly needed for a busy Friday evening. Will be back!

Very nice new restaurant. Decent all around American food style menu. Bar service was a little slow. Growing pains for sure. Worth a visit!

But Here's where it just got interesting Vodka chicken Parmesan.. sounds simple right I Cannot Express the TBO J and I both had with our first bite.. When I tell you that the Pasta, I mean the noodles y'all, the pasta was the best pasta we've ever had...amazing and then the chicken Parm was juicy, crisp on the outside, baked cheesy on top... just probably the best chicken Parm we've ever had.. put two of them together and I just can't even finish thi..... Okay just kidding, I've got to finish to tell you about the amazing people behind the incredible food.. We told Patrina that we weren't from around here and it was our first time at Lib's.. She was the best first impression you could have had... told us the history of the Lib family how they are the Perry Hall staple of the area. Vic was our server and he was wonderful, answering questions and very knowledgeable. Michelle was the mgr on the evening we were there and came out when we wanted to rave over the meal... when she found out we were new to the area, she came back to the table with her top picks for dining in the area. Really... wow! The deck was enclosed but was an open space that made you feel like you were outside without the draft. I could go on and on, but really, stop reading and navigate here Right now What makes you think I'm kidding Put down that mediocre food This is way better than what your stuffing your face with Y'all

2/15/26 Update!…read more Lib's Grill has become our regular pit stop on the way to D.C. We have become "regulars" and our server that we ask for every time, (Brenna) is a bright light and always provides us with amazing service that keeps us coming back! We all enjoyed our lunch and I have to say, Lib's Grill was rocking! It was President's Weekend Holiday and every table was taken for brunch/lunch. Our meals, once again were all really good and service was top notch. Thank you, Brenna, (and team), for making our meal a memorable one, once again. I'll provide some updated photos to keep this review as fresh as the food and service! :)

I popped in to The Local with one of my friends for a much needed happy hour and we were both in consensus we had to come back to try some other menu items and specials. $7 for the house Sangria and a mule of the day, was a great start to the evening and quite tasty. We both dined on the burger and fries and enjoyed the dish. I would've like a bit of seasoning on the burger patties and maybe a cheddar or American cheese, but that's my personal preference. I asked for the black truffle aioli on the side and that was definitely the way to go to really be able to taste the black truffle. And might I say the aioli was delicious. Our waitress was great and very attentive. The Local offers different specials on various nights and even does live music on Friday nights. This is a great place on the Avenue to enjoy dishes made with ingredients from local businesses and enjoy a delicious meal.

On the plus side my family enjoyed the ribs and crab balls. On the negative side, the fish in my fish and chips was painfully thin and small. Normally you get a nice chunky piece of fish when you get fish and chips. Not only that, l've never had fish and chips where the skin was on the fish. I left most of the skin behind, but ate some of it because the portion was so small. I had to eat something. Please have the chef look up what fish and chips is supposed to look like. Despite being the only server, our wait person was outstanding - it wasn't their fault that they had to handle the entire dining room. . Also appreciated the carafe of water on the table - but why no ice -had to drink lukewarm water. Make sure to ask for prices upfront and verify-for a single crabcake entrée, we paid $63 when it's advertised online as 30. Let the buyer beware.. Wouldn't feel a need to return at this point, too many other better options.

They have a steady flow of customers, many regulars, and of course passersby who see the cars in the lot. Many parked cars mean good food, and this turned out to be a treat. Go up the steps and see the basic menu clearly posted with prices, order at the screened window. Cash discount, but they do take cards and offer a military discount. The orders are prepared as given, and all is fresh. My husband wanted the 2 sausage sub...10", green peppers, and fried onions. It was slightly spicy-Italian sausage. This was the combo for about $15, which comes with fresh cut fries and a soft drink. They were kind enough to give a free refill of Pepsi products. He loved it and half came home. Oops, they forgot the fries, so I went back, and they made them up. I got the Pit beef, rare, raw onions, and horseradish on the side in a little cup. Huge and delicious. I melted into pit beef lala land. Then the daydream began, we ate at a picnic table out front, devouring the fries and watching the busy world go by. Time paused for us. Condiments, many of them, are available on a high bench opposite the order window. Yes, even malt vinegar for your fries! We will definitely be back.

They have one pool table where APA league members usually play, a shuffle board, and a number of TVs for sports games (although they are not HD). I could tell this was a local go-to for many of the customers at this bar especially since they all seemed to know each other. Our bartender was very friendly with helping us decide what to order. We got the Belly Buster Fried Fish sub ($8.99), with a side of fries (an extra $2) and Italian Cold Cut ($9.50), with a side of chips (free), along with a Loose Cannon ($5.00) & Grapefruit Crush ($6.00). The subs were pretty good. The fried cod (I believe it was) was nice and crispy and the tartar sauce paired perfectly to cut the richness of the grease. The portion was definitely money's worth. The cold cuts in my sub were fresh. There was enough acid to not make the bread soggy. The grapefruit crush was very icy. I noticed the bartender made it by blending a grapefruit fruit cup with ice and some grapefruit-vodka. When I was done with my first drink, she poured the rest of the mixture from the blender into my glass, which I thought was very nice. All in all, dugout tavern is a hidden gem that has great food and service. There is also parking on site and outdoor seating.

The Chicken Parmesan sandwich I had last night was on point and my girlfriend had a very good chicken quesadilla as well. Prices are pretty reasonable. My only beef is with the service. The bar is a little "cliquey" from several observations. The regulars seem to get waited on immediately and a newcomer gets a "I'll be right with you". No placemats, no silverware, no napkins seems to be the norm. Had to ask for ketchup when my fries came out after getting chips by mistake. We will most likely go back though, especially since The Bird River Inn changed their whole menu and did away with most of our favorite menu items. Everything is smoked now and very salty. If you're looking for ambience, you may want to try somewhere else. The Dugout is a hole in the wall dive bar and has been for decades...just the way the regulars like it!
