Absolutely incredible spot, you need to try this place if you haven't already! They have great martini deal at the bar as well. Service was knowledgeable, friendly and gave great recommendations when it came to drink pairings. Came here for an anniversary dinner and started off with oysters (best I've had) and the beets. I got the Champignon Gratiné and it was so fluffy, light and flavorful (you would think with all the cream/ butter it would be heavier). Dessert was delicious. Absolutely a great vibe and great food (apparently the chef is Michelin trained).

Birthday dinner at this beautiful restaurant. A cute birthday card was left on my table. Beautiful, well stocked bar. Service was good. Waiter was super sweet. Parking on the street. We started with an Old Fashioned and a Metropolitan. For apps we ordered the tuna tartar with little pieces of orange and homemade crackers. Super delicious, fresh ingredients, beautiful presentation, and great taste. We also ordered the bread servuce, and strawberry and burrata salad. For dinner, we ordered the steak and frites and the black bass over fingerline potatoes. We ordered a side of peas, bacon, and onions. Everything was just delicious. Portions were perfect. To end the evening, we shared a brownie sundae with brown butter ice cream. You could taste the nutty flavor of the brown butter. Great combination together. The waiter added a candle to celebrate my birthday. Great for a romantic dinner or dinner with family or friends.

5 stars for ambiance alone I couldn't possibly recommend this place for a date night more. It's sexy & dark, yet so cozy & welcoming. Absolutely make a reso and come early for a martini at the bar. The bartenders are so friendly, kind & attentive and their martini menu is chef's kiss! For dinner we enjoyed the tuna tartare with citrus (omfg delicious), escargot which were perfect and so plump, steak frites & the lasagna. I never ever order lasagna out but did because of the reviews and we both agreed -- that dish took the cake! Absolute #1. Talking about cake ... we got creme brulee and the basque cheesecake with passion fruit curd and WOW dream dessert. Literally 10/10 anniversary dinner we had such a lovely time. Will be back ‍

River Pointe Inn is a fabulous restaurant in Rumson. The service is excellent with highly knowledgeable and attentive staff. The bread service is 9 dollars for 2 baguettes. I enjoyed the spinach salad as I thought each ingredient paired well together. The dressing with the bacon, goat cheese, spinach and the apple really made for a nice blend of sweet and salty. The mashed potatoes weee delicious with a nice crust on the top with a buttery flavor. The burger was good with tasty fries but I feel like I played the safe option for dinner. I will be back and I'll have to try something that isn't a hamburger. Nonetheless, I would recommend this place.

Excellent! My wife and I had a great meal! I started with the Yellowfin Tuna Meunière which was very good, she had the Barnegat Oysters and loved them. Her entree was the pork chop; she gave it a 4/5. My fluke was excellent. The place was decked out for the holidays and quite busy, but our service was prompt and helpful.

If you enjoy overpaying and leaving a restaurant hungry this is your place! My friend and I both like the 2 other restaurants by the same owner. We decided to try this one next as a treat to celebrate both of our birthdays. I knew this one was a bit more pricey but expected more decadence or a more upscale feel. We ended up underwhelmed, disappointed and hungry. Also not sure why this restaurant is classified as French. Our $35 lasagna was a small hunk of cheese. Her $21 drink was watery. Our waitress was very nice and the bar area looks very nice. If I ever returned I'd go to the bar for a $14 martini. It was $21 because we sat at a table. We opted not to go for a $21 dessert. This was just not worth it.

    The amazing bouillabaisse

Ok so yes I have reviewed this restaurant multiple times. Why? Over 50 years of dining out , one of the most basic elements of the sign of a great restaurant is consistency. Today most restaurants are hit or miss Not here. I've dined here over a dozen times this year and have found it not only to be consistent, but also innovative Superb we'll trained staff, great ambiance and spectacular cocktails all come together to support the absolutely delicious food selections Most recently, the sensational team of Ian and Caitlin provided us with a perfect meal situated in the new outdoor garden, which I must say was thoughtfully designed to be as visually appealing as well as functional We had our standard cocktail ( the salt air) what a drink! The gem salad .. so crisp and fresh as well as the tuna tartare which I found to be a no BS tartare. It's not disguised by over flavoring, not cut with avacado just simply hand cut sup quality tuna presented on ice. Perfectly fresh and light The Friday special of bouillabaisse is absolutely second to none! I've had this dish in numerous restaurants yet this one stole my heart. Served piping hot . Along with a serving of the most enticing mashed potatoes made for a perfect combo The walnut carrot cake .. an excellent finish All told I truly feel this restaurant is perhaps the finest in Nj that I have been to Carry on River point!

It was so delicious and the menu was innovative and fun. We shared a bunch of appetizers and they were all amazing. The famous chicken nuggets were good but the chili crisp deviled eggs were divine, and the mussels in Thai curry sauce were amazing. For lunch, I got the fish special, which was tilefish. I felt like I should try for something healthy and after I ordered it I was having regrets that I didn't get a burger or pasta. Well, that tilefish was probably the best fish I've had in years. It was perfectly prepared and the sauce with little shreds of potato as a coating was delicious. My friend got the Malfadine and I got to try that and it too, was delicious. The staff and service was fantastic too. The host was happy to be there and made us feel really welcome, the food runner was super cool, and our waiter, Lucas, was hilarious. He made honest recommendations when we were comparing potential orders and we were all thrilled with them. I can't remember what he recommended for dessert but everyone loved it (it had a Biscoff cookie on top). He really leveled up our experience. I have ONE critique, and that is that you can't order a Bloody Mary. I get it, you're hipsters, you have an artisanal drinks curator, why do you want that pedestrian drink you old fart, etc. That started my meal off on a bad foot, and got my back up. Luckily it was followed by delicious food an amazing treatment by Lucas and the rest of the staff, so I calmed down and got over myself.

The hot apple cider with Rum is tremendous as is their reduction of Coquito. The inside is just as beautiful. I am not crazy about the menu so for me it is a drinks spot.

Fresh crisp, flavorful and delicious dressings My friend ordered a filet and let me just add, she's a picky eater and orders her steaks medium well! It was served with roasted potatoes and green beans. I ordered the hanger steak, medium rare, it was served with ramps chimichurri and unlimited fries! The fries! Oh my! The best, ever! The hanger steak was beyond, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned. I was in heaven... And so was my friend. In lieu of bread, they serve popovers! What? Fantastic! We decided to eat in the bar room as the live music was quite good and ambience, inviting! The bartender/server, CHRIS, who is phenomenal, knew we were celebrating a birthday so he brought over complementary glasses of champagne, very sweet! We asked to speak with the manager who indicated that she didn't even know that this 'Special' was still on their website. At that point (and in good faith), she should have offered us something as compensation! When told that they do not carry a common beverage-BLUE MOON, the waitress suggested giving me a similar beer and offered a 'taste test'. I could not tell if I liked the sample cause the shot glass had SO LITTLE beer in it-offering me NO TASTE at all. We also ordered chips, plantains, and salsa as an appetizer. For the cost of $14.00, I assumed it would contain enough chips for three people and might even be an unlimited supply. There were approx 15 chips on the plate and 6 plantains-which were tasteless. But think about it!? 15 taco chips for three people to the tune of $14.00?! They should be embarrassed! By 7:30, this restaurant was almost empty.
