I love coming here and do so often! They have great specials most days and even their full price menu isn't bad. They have an outdoor bar and river side dining which can't be beat especially since the Blackstone is roaring after all this rain! They have sooo many different specials and promos, along with their extensive every day menu, that there's truly something for everyone. I'm seldom ever disappointed here and they are quick to fix it if something isn't up to par. My parents absolutely love this restaurant, and so for my brother, daughter, and my birthday dinner they took us there last night. My family of 5 arrived 25 minutes after the reservation, (meeting the other 3 in our party there), and they were very accommodating to get us right to a table. My mother, father, and brother had grabbed a cocktail at the bar. The waitress offered to let me taste 2 different wines to see which I preferred; sounds great! She came back 10 minutes later with 2 samples. I decided on the Pinot noir, and told her when she came back. It was actually the shiraz; she accidentally told me the wrong ones. No big deal. So my family got busy chatting like we usually do, and I noticed that I still had no wine after over 20 minutes. Plates of dipping oil sat on our table begging to be dipped, but the bread still hadn't made it there. When she finally remembered the wine we reminded her about the bread and she apologized and shuffled off to get it. The food was not the best I've had. I ordered chicken parm and it was very dry. My moms prime rib looked great, hubby's burger looked great, kids chicken looked standard, brothers macaroni dish was lackluster, and can't remember what dad had. Service was painfully slow. Painfully. My mom tried to order a dessert so they would come over and sing happy birthday, but after waiting close to a half hour my brother told the waitress to cancel it and take us the check. My 3 stars is derived mostly from my parents love of this place. They told us to come on a weeknight to try it. And I almost forgot to mention, the owner came around with an envelope for each couple to pick. Inside it is an amount off your next visit. You cannot open the envelope, your server must. We used to go here all the time for the Ma Glockners chicken dinner. We recently went again after not being there for awhile. Very disappointed. While the food was OK, it was not Ma Glockners. The cinnamon rolls where bland and dry, nothing like the originals. The chicken, while OK was not the original berched, not even close. The coconut pie was something entirely different. They used to also have an unbelievable prime rib, that that is also gone now. All in all, we will probably not be going back as there was really nothing on the menu now to set them apart from any other closer local restaurant. read more

Wow has this place gone down hill. 5-6 years ago the food was good but not anymore. Service is ok. Manager sitting on his ass on a busy day like Mother's Day, only time he got up was to go visit a table complaining about the prime rib. Filet mignon was meh. Wow, this place has really gone downhill. My wife and I used to go here for the awesome prime rib and seafood. We went last week and both ordered baked haddock. The fish was very overcooked and only partially edible. It was served without lemon or tartar sauce (which are in the description of the dish). We were not given any bread or rolls or even ice water. We were seated in a cold corner and needed to keep our coats on throughout the meal. When I asked for bread, the waiter said he couldn't bring me any because it didn't "come with the dish". When the manager came by and asked if we needed anything, I asked for bread. He brought me a little dish with two dried out pieces of (garlic??) bread. Never again, whoever bought this place is an idiot and deserves to fail. Don't waste your money. read more

We have been coming here every weekend for the past few weeks because they were giving us vouchers which could be free food or gift certificates, which was nice. The location is great, nice views and the building is cool, the food is good, when its hot, here's the consistent problem. Service, its not that good, food comes out cold or soggy, bartenders ignore you, arguing staff in front of customers, bad attitudes. Disclaimer: I have only been here for private functions. Easy parking across the street. If you are feeling brave and trustworthy, there is valet parking as well. There is a spacious function room upstairs and downstairs - for privacy and it doesn't bother folks that are dining on the main floor. The roasted chicken has been consistently good. Pretty juicy and the while the seasoning tends to be mainly just on the skin, it is pretty savory. If you took the skin off to eat the chicken, I am not sure there would be a lot of flavor. The mashed potatoes were creamy and there seemed to be a hint of parmesan cheese...I love cheese so this was a bonus. The roasted vegetables which were a combination of beans and squash and zucchini, where cut julienne style and were cooked just enough were they tasted fresh with a little snap, not mushy at all. Bread - salad, were fine, nothing to really write about. The service was very attentive. Be sure to have them stock non-domestic beer, otherwise the bartender will have to abandon his post to run to the other side of the restaurant "City-Side" to get the "better" beer in my opinion. This happened to me and left me apologizing to the line that grew behind me :) But they too were excited when he came back with Trinity IPA and PALM beer as alternatives to the standard domestic beers, Miller Lite and Bud. read more

Their Italian Monday night chicken parm was just precooked tasting terrible and the sauce tasted like hunts out of a can from dollar tree them burned. The waitress was WAY overbearing. The cannoli was stale and a waste of time. 2nd try. Prime rib night. Way overpriced and the 2nd piece that was brought to me was pure grizzle. Ribs were ok tho. While waiting, I stated that we'd prefer a booth and asked if it would be ok to take a nearby one. We were told that would be fine and we sat. As soon as we sat, someone else came over and said we couldn't sit there. I said fine, we'll take the original table (which was now clean). We sat and discovered that the table was extremely wobbly which would be fine if it was addressed. We sat another 10 minutes and no one came to see us. We left. Do not recommend. Don't bother with the pizza. I've been trying all the pizza in woonsocket trying to find the best. This is at the bottom of the list. As you can see from the pics it appears to be a frozen pre bought crust, barely cooked. The sauce is incredibly sweet. The whole thing is just gross. Also i was charged $12.95 for this abomination. I ordered a cheese pizza and was charged for a pepperoni pizza with no pepperoni. I was told that included tax (to be extra nitpicky they are calculating tax wrong. $11.99 (pepperoni) + 7% meal tax is $12.83) mind you a margarita pizza, which is this pizza plus tomatoes and fresh basil on top is $10.99. Waste of money!!! Came here with friends celebrating my fiancé birthday. 1st and last time I'll go to this restaurant. I had a party of 14, only 1 waitress who was slow and kept forgetting what was asked for. She took drink (alcohol) orders, but never took soft drink orders. When meals was served , mind was the only 1 that didn't come. I had to ask another server about my order. 10 minutes after everyone else's did came, only to find out it was just being out on. I only ordered baked haddock. Food was bland, no seasonings at all and the bread crumbs on the fish tasted like crumbled cheetos, just nasty!!! Others in my party also expressed how the food had no taste. I have been going to River Falls for several years. Over the last two years I've been there 3 times with issues 2 of the 3. The last one last night which will be my last time going here. Service is horrible. Very slow and not pleasant at all. Took my mom there yesterday with my brother and sister for my mom's 79th birthday. Waitress came over took our drink order and a food order and we waited about an hour for our food. The waitress never came back to check on us to see if we needed another beverage or anything else. It wasn't until we questioned the waitress where our food was because we needed to make a show at the theater, And she turns around very rudely and says oh yeah I will check on that. 2 minutes later the manager comes over, who I recognized from the last time we were there and hadn't issued, proceeded to tell me that they did not have any of the salmon that I had ordered an hour prior too but all the other food was ready. Not only does he come over and tell me this which we had ordered at 5:30 and was on the specials list which I don't know how you don't have it if it's a special. Doesn't even bring a menu for me to make another selection. I now have to ask for the menu order a pasta dish so that my other family members are not sitting there staring at their food getting cold while I'm waiting for my order. They didn't even have bread that they could give us while we're sitting there waiting for our meal. I guess they expected us to order appetizers. This place was bought out 3 years ago and under new management and the management is awful. Previous management was awesome the food was always wonderful and service was always great. What happened last night was not due to covid, it's lack of good help and management. I will never spend my money here ever again. read more

This was the worst experience we've ever had at a restaurant! FYI..We eat out all the time and are very generous tippers! First, we ordered a second round of drinks at the bar, 2 bartenders and the manager/owner all said, "someone will be right with you", an hour later, nothing. Never got a second round/place not busy. In the meantime, we, as a party of four, ordered appetizers and dinner. One couple received their dinner and appetizers at the same time, ICE COLD and inedible. They spoke to the manager who was indifferent and stated he would bring over some hot vegetables. We, as the other couple, had to ask three times where our dinner was, finally showed up half and hour after our friend's dinner, ice cold steak tips, prime rib and baked potatoes. When we complained to the manager and bartender, they stuck their fingers in our food to confirm! Can't even make this up! The manager still charged over a $100, had a BAD attitude and was completely unapolegetic. Since we had a show to go to, we left and tried Ciro's across the street. Service and food were amazing! Too bad as this place has a great location and potential, but they need John Taffer from Bar Rescue to straighten out their mess and complete disrespect for their paying customers! read more

This was our second time here. The first time was a wonderful experience. This time we went on a Sunday afternoon. Service was good, no issue there. Nice selection of spirits and beers. Husband said his fish and chips were good. The turkey burger I ordered was ice cold, almost inedible. I had ordered it with no onions and bacon, cheese, lettuce and tomato...It came to the table with no bacon and onions on it. I returned it as onions are not a favorite. They brought it back minus the onions with two very small, very cold pieces of bacon. I'm not sure they were Applewood as the menu described. The burger itself was hard to eat as it was slimy and cold. For the price of burger, truly disappointing. The view is great, but not sure we will be back. read more

If you think Applebee's is a good place to eat, you will like River Falls. One thing they have going is a pretty nice, expansive outdoor patio. Plenty of seating that wraps around the side and rear of the building and overlooks the river below. Admittedly, we noticed aforementioned river has a bit of a smell sometimes that wafts over the patio, a kind of eau-de-fish. But the restaurant can hardly be blamed for that. It should be noted that the old mill building they are in is pretty cool, though. Minus points for slow service, uncomfortable outdoor chairs, and underwhelming bar service: our table received a couple acridly sweet, practically alcohol-free mixed drinks. Also, I can't say I've ever seen an old-fashioned served in a glass that small. Stick with beer and wine here. read more

We haven't lived in the area long and we were meeting friends. I chose this online after I looked at different restaurants menus. A shot in the dark, River Falls menu looked great, something for everyone, so I made the reservation. Everyone raved over their meals which were sizable portions. We sat outside by the river and again, sitting under the umbrella table with an outstanding view, perfect evening temperature with a soft breeze, made for a delightful dining experience. Wonderful waitstaff, simply excellent service! My son is coming in for an out of state visit next week and you know exactly where we are taking him to dine. Thank you, River falls! First time here. Got in before the after work crowd. The atmosphere went from soft to loud in moments. Sports on the television. Good atmosphere. Menus are thick and heavy. There are specials every day. Chose the drunken pork chop and an appetizer of a sampler which was great too. Was surprised that there was no starter salad. Food was excellently cooked my dinner companions chose the 2/$35 menu (one had country fried steak the other had a pasta dish). I enjoyed it and once again the atmosphere was very open and inviting. All I wanted was cinnamon rolls for mothers day this year. I had them once before from here and had dreams about them. My husband picked them me up a dozen of them. He paid $40.00 for a dozen of them. When he came in with them they were hard and dry. They didn't even come with any icing at all. I did call and talked to the manager. She couldn't care less when I told her how upset I was! I told her that I wanted to bring them back for a refund of $40.00. I visited this restaurant before and it was delicious. The bbq ribs are great, as well as their steak offerings. So I had very high hopes for their Ma Glockners chicken. I had the original in Bellingham and recall it being delicious. River Falls claims to have the recipe now. The seasoning tastes the same (typical regional celery salt), and the skin was browned and crispy (yum!). But man was it dry!!! Seriously, there is a possibility you could choke and die from eating this chicken. I recommend a big gulp of water, then a small bite of chicken, immediately followed by even more water to prevent receiving the Heimlich maneuver. In all fairness, even our waitress warned us it would be dry. But I rolled the dice for nostalgia reasons. It doesn't need to be this dry. I realize the recipe calls for slow cooking the chicken, then press the chicken on a flat top grill. But if it's not overcooked during the slow process it can still be juicy. read more

So went here because of a recommendation. The decor is cute. It's an old mill converted to restaurant/pub. The menu seemed big. But last four pages were specific day specials. So the menu is smaller then I thought. The serves was good. The food was ok. I think it would be better, if the food was less casual. The food was comparable to a Chelos or Greggs. In my honest opinion if you live near here. I get it. But for someone like myself, I'd prefer to go to the city. Went there like 2-3yrs ago and tried the Encrusted Chicken Parmagiana and it was great! Went there this year 2019 and it was okay not great as I remember. My gosh, I honestly took 45 minutes just to figure out what day it was and what we were allowed to order on that day... We joked and said the menu was a Gordon Ramsey Nightmare! We decided on ordering the Jumbo Buffalo Wings... they are HUGE! Then our salad came, a bread basket, our entree with all the sides.... Before I knew it, our table was COVERED with dishes... every side had its own bowl on top of a plate... My suggestion is to come hungry.... Our server was Lovely, we waited a bit extra for a table right on the water and it was definitely worth it! She was fun and gave great recommendations... We will definitely be back...
