It's been a while since my last trip to Ritzy's but I'm happy to be back. The place is positively consistent in service and food quality. The oldies jams are still in play and keeping the vibe upbeat. I've never been in here tearing up because that forbidden broken heart love song came on at the wrong time. I've been doing burgers and shakes and new flavors of ice cream and I'm discovering that chocolate ice cream and its many descendants are quite delicious. For example I beta tested the Kentucky Fudge Pecan Pie in a baby sized cup and found that I love it! I also reaffirmed that I have zero allergic reaction to pecans. Furthermore, I discovered that pie crust bits in ice cream are flipping fantastic and something I will include in my extensive list of things I am thankful for come this November's Turkey holiday. Props to the Ice Cream expert whom I had been told crafts these flavors in house. Is it some kind of Ice Cream elf? Maybe. That doesn't even matter. Who or whatever is making this delicacy is doing a great job at creaming this ice with fantastic flavor and ruining my ability to drop this final 4 lbs I'm trying to shed. Try it out and enjoy this wondrous thing! But be warned... the pecans may contain nuts. UPDATE: I just discovered that they offer TATOR TOTS! It should be known just by looking at me that tater tots are my favorite means of delivering potatoes to my belly. This delivery process is further expedited by spooning steaming hot chili and shredding cheese over it. They've titled an entire movie after how I eat chili cheese tots. "Gone in 60 Seconds". I devoured it voraciously and it disappeared. I don't know how it tasted because it was immediately absorbed once it appeared on the counter. I'm sure i enjoyed it though. Try it yourself and let me know if it is good. I am not reliable in this instance. read more

The food at Ritzy's was absolutely amazing! Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and well worth the visit. The staff was friendly, and we had a great overall experience. One area that could use improvement is accessibility. While I'm not a wheelchair user, I do use a cane, and I found it frustrating to maneuver around the dining room because the tables are placed so close together. I also noticed that the self-service drink station would be difficult, if not impossible, for many wheelchair users to access comfortably. A few changes to the layout would make the restaurant much more welcoming and accessible for people with a variety of mobility needs. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the excellent food and hope to see accessibility improvements in the future. read more

While in town for a trade show; I was searching for something to eat for dinner and passed by Ritzy's. I looked it up on Yelp and they were well reviewed. When traveling I like to try different and local stuff. It was awesome! I had the chili 3 way, a number 1 with bacon and shoe string fries. All were great. Not too greasy, good flavor. The burger was probably my favorite. Crispy on the edges. And their prices were fantastic. Especially in this day of inflation. Great place! read more

Favorite place to get burgers when we visit owensboro. So freakin good. The fries are my fav, add some gooey cheese and jalapeños and they are perfect. Burgers are great fully dressed. Very nastalgic, home-made ice cream place. Their grilled chicken wasn't really grilled, it was boiled to cook and then just thrown on the grill for aesthetics. The fried chicken sandwich was better. The lettuce on the sandwiches was fresh. The floors were sticky and carpets need a good vacuum and shampooing. The staff were very, very friendly. They give a Jr size ice cream in the children's meals. Their ice cream tastes good. They make real chocolate milkshakes by using chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce but they will make either upon request. read more

Ritzy's is greasy diner food, and I mean that in the best way possible. When I want a greasy cheeseburger and fries I think of Ritzy's. The basket portions are well worth the price and could be split between two people. They have a drive thru and quick service. The employees have always been friendly and helpful. I still have yet to try their ice cream, but it's on my Owensboro bucket list. read more

Great clean atmosphere and the employees were great. We stopped in for a burger while visiting the air show. The wife and I got the no.1 with fries and one with onion rings. The burger patty is very thin, we would both recommend getting the double for a few cents more. The Philadelphia Style Vanilla ice cream is awesome. read more

Not really what I expected when I pulled in, what this place lacks in appearance it more than makes up for in the quality of the food the food was wonderful. You can tell they try to be a old fashioned diner, but the atmosphere just kills it for me. read more
