Updating my review to mention that Jordy's does catering, how awesome is that? I also wanted to make a suggestion: don't leave without trying tres leches. I take it home with me every visit and it is wonderful. The service here is excellent! It is more like hospitality, you feel like a guest. read more

This little restaurant was simply wonderful. Loved the salsa, but the star was the wonderfully seasoned shredded chicken in the perfect chimichanga that I ordered as my main course. I ate ever bit of it and of the beans and rice, which was quite an undertaking given the generous size of the portions. My husband had an equally satisfying experience with his enchiladas. And the price was so very, very reasonable, especially considering the quality and quantity. Great place. read more

There were 4 of us and we were all very happy with our choices. Margaritas were 2/$6.50. Very good!! I ordered the Asade and chicken tacos - one of the best I've had. You need to give this place a chance. Clean restaurant. Everything was flavorful. read more

Jordy’s - Lunch buffet including Birria ! - Mexican Near Me - Owensboro, Kentucky

This is the only Mexican restaurant with a lunch buffet that I know of in town. It's a bit hidden because the big sign you see from Frederica still says Penguin Pointe and the windows don't face the main road. But put on your questing hat and bring Samwise Gamgee along and have yourself a great Mexican lunch for only $10.99!!! All you can eat meats and stews that are all well flavored and with all the sides you would love. They have beans you can dip with tortilla chips, guacamole you can dip with tortilla chips, queso cheese sauce you can dip with tortilla chips, tortilla chips you can dip with tortilla chips. Mix it up and use your imagination! I ate the buffet here twice and both times, I overdid it to the point where my stomach was close to bursting. They have pork ribs stewed up and seasoned beautifully. The salad bar and desserts are delicious. They have shredded chicken and Mexican rice. Hot sauces to burn your tongue or mellow ones to liven up your meal. It's a much better deal than going to the major fast food taco chain in town. The guacamole alone is worth the price of the buffet! ALL I Can Eat GUAC!!! I may make an all guacamole taco next time and top it with beef. I can make my favorite Mexican side dish my main course and have my favorite main course be my side dish! It's bananas... the options running through my mind right now. My stomach just roared at me just thinking about it. The service is excellent and friendly and the owner is a cool dude who works hard and seems passionate about his food. Check this place out if you get a chance. The buffet starts at 10:30AM and may end early if I get there before you and devour it all before you get seated. Wow this review turned into a hungry, primal rant. I'm heading to Jordy's. It is the medicine for what ails me right now. Which is hunger (in case you didn't catch that). Hunger Rant... over. I'm off to Jordy's. PEACE read more

Jordy’s - My lunch buffet selection! My plating techniques are lacking. But it was delicious! - Mexican Near Me - Owensboro, Kentucky

We dined on Friday for early lunch at Jordy's. The smallish restaurant filled quickly by 11:30. My husband chose the buffet. The buffet includes 8 warm dishes, shredded chicken, taquitos, fajita chicken, enchiladas.... Etc. there is warm cheese dip.... A bit hit with customers. All the cold salad things you would need to dress up your tacos. There is also fresh juice and fruit. A small dessert section had sugar cookies and make-your-own sopapillas. Everything appeared hot, fresh and was well seasoned. My husband enjoyed 2 trips worth. I ordered the carne asada from the lunch menu. It came with a huge slab of carne asada, which was seasoned nicely, but a tiny bit tough. Rice, beans, tortillas and a cheese enchilada were included. They put a red and green sauce on the table. The red had a nice smoky flavor. The green looks so innocent, but it is heat!!!! I loved it on everything!!!! Our server was sweet and friendly, and the owner came to make sure everything was good. The buffet can get quite congested at times, with only one path in and out. I would try Jordy's again for sure!!! read more

To start, I wish I could give 6 's! 2nd, when I see lengua on the menu I gotta ask, " Do you have lengua tonight?" A lot of places list it but don't have it every night. Not only did they have it but it was ! After a lengua taco for an app, I asked one of the best, friendliest servers I've ever had what he suggested.... "A burger". I said "huh"? Apparently they compete in burger week?? So I got the Mexican Burger. No regrets. It was freakin amazing! I wish I lived here! I may have to make a special trip during burger week! read more

A restaurant that doesn't try to fit in with the ones that surround it. The employees treat you like a family. It's the most authentic Mexican food in Owensboro. Birria Tacos always hit. Don't order the tres leches, order 2 of them! read more

We came here for the lunch buffet and it did not disappoint. It's nice being able to select multiple items without being locked down to one entree from the menu. Unlimited cheese dip. This is one of our new favorites and we'll be back. read more

Jordy's is my favorite place in Owensboro to eat, the workers are so nice and check on you consistently. The birria tacos are AMAZING, and so is the buffet. It's a wonderful place to go even if you're alone to eat, it's quiet, welcoming and would recommend! read more

Everything is fast and delicious!! I would recommend them without any question! One of the best for Mexican food!

The food and the service is the star here in this small restaurant. They have a lunch buffet. That is a very good deal for $11.99 all you can eat. I was really hungry and enjoyed quite a few dishes. Chicken enchiladas, beef, and chicken fajitas Mexican meatballs, chicken in green Molé sauce, beans and rice roasted cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots plus a salad with guacamole. It was a feast and very good. My server was a very nice young woman, who made sure I had plenty of water, napkins, and cleared my plates. The facility is an old fast food restaurant, and my table was loose from its stand. When I visited the ladies restroom sadly a D minus in cleanliness however there was soap and paper for drying my hands. If they improve their cleanliness in bathrooms and sidebar around the buffet, they would be a 4 1/2 star. There's plenty of parking. I noticed on my way out that they also serve margaritas. There were plenty of children and they seem to be enjoying the food also. read more

Amazing to go food- we go all the time now- so so good- so fresh- staff is very kind- love the authentic cuisine and the prices are good too- read more

Maybe they were having an off day, or overwhelmed (it was a weekday at lunchtime, and they were very busy). Tried the buffet, after seeing all the rave reviews on their Facebook page, but it definitely did not live up to the hype. Food that was available was ok, but was way overpriced, especially due to the lack of food (I got the last taco salad shell, and none were added while we were there). $12 per person, and there was no cheese or salsa on the buffet. Zero cheese. No shredded cheese, no queso. Again, maybe they were having an off day, but for the price and quality, we won't be back. read more

staff is very nice and the food was super good. Definitely recommend the birria tacos

Went to Jordy's for the first time for the lunch buffet. It was clean, the staff was friendly and attentive, and most importantly the food was great! There is a well-rounded selection of foods including both hard- and soft-shell tortillas for tacos and fajitas, nachos with unlimited warm cheese dip and other toppings, enchiladas, taco salad, rice, and taquitos. Next time I have weekday off I plan to go back. read more

Finally a Mexican restaurant with a buffet. Now I can sample what they have. Love making my tacos my way.

Great food! It's always fresh. To go orders at the window are fresh as well and the wait is not long. Jordy's is a hidden gem.

Awesome food! Very fast service. The owner is great and greets you as you walk in the door. Many delicious options.
