Be aware that they do not take AMEX. I only have an AMEX, and I happened to not have cash on me. I just totally didn't think to ask if they take AMEX before the gal got started. I understand that maybe people try to get by without paying so I'm sure that explains their immediate distrust of me when they found out I had no cash and only had an AMEX. Kind of very embarrassing when one of the ladies keeps asking very loudly if I have a MasterCard. Like I'm all of a sudden going to discover one in my wallet. This is an unacceptable practice and we won't be coming back. This is totally dishonest! And a week later my toe nail polish is chipping.

I am entering this review because I was there to witness a lady named Brenda being so rude to Nancy . I was sitting in the chair waiting for Nancy to return she had started my hands. Then this woman comes in and started complaining about having to wait when she had an appointment. I had one as well. Apparently she had confused the times. She kept yelling. Nancy asked me if I minded getting my feet done first so she could take care of her. I said sure. I was forced to tell the woman what I thought of her. She was so wicked to Nancy. I really liked that efficiency because it made the whole experience smoother and more relaxing. Pedicure: The pedicure was very relaxing, very comforting, and overall just a nice experience. The lady who did it was very sweet, but there was a little bit of a language barrier when I tried explaining exactly what I wanted -- a pink nude shellac color as the base for my French tip. After a few tries, we were able to find something that worked beautifully, and honestly, it looks wonderful. I hadn't had a pedicure in months, and this one really did the job -- it felt healing and refreshing. She got started right away before asking which pedicure I wanted, and once my legs were moisturized and my nails were shaped, she asked if I wanted to upgrade. The basic pedicure alone is actually very thorough and intense, so it already does the job perfectly if you don't want to pay extra. The No. 2 pedicure I chose came with the shellac and French design, and it turned out beautiful -- my toes matched my nails perfectly. Nails: For my nails, I told her I wanted a nude French tip, but we had a hard time finding a nude that fit my dark skin tone. We eventually found one that looked very natural and flattering, which I appreciated. The French tip process itself was really neat, and she added a cross charm and a flower with rhinestones on top of the design. I originally wanted designs on all ten fingers, but because of the communication barrier, I ended up getting designs on just three nails instead -- the cross, one flower, and another nail with a flower design. Even though it wasn't exactly what I asked for, it still came out very cute and well done. The price for my nails came to around $60, which isn't bad for shellac, French tips, and some design. Prices: Nails (colored French tips + flower + charm designs): about $60 Pedicure (No. 2 with shellac + French tips + design): about $60 Total came to $122, which I think is fair for both services and the time they spent. Atmosphere & Service: Everyone was polite, and the shop itself felt calm and organized. The massage chairs were nice, though they turned them off after a while because the shaking was interfering with the nail designs. The bathroom could've been a little cleaner, but that wasn't a big deal. Overall Thoughts: It was a really good and relaxing experience, and both my nails and toes came out very cute and neatly done. I just wouldn't recommend this place if you're coming in for high-design or complicated nail art, since it seems more like a salon that's great for simple, pretty sets at a cheap price and amazing pedicures. So overall, I'd rate it a 7 out of 10. If you want a simple set, a cute design, and a very nice pedicure, this is definitely a good spot.

I inquired at Super Cuts in Richmond, TX. Greeting me, pleasantly, was Susan Hung who told me she could do the job. She not only matched my color but analyzed my hair needs. She told me that each persons hair was different and had natural pigments that had to be worked with in order to get the best color results. My hair was in bad condition as I had colored it for many years. Not only did the color turn out great but my hair condition was greatly improved. Susan cut and styled my hair beautifully so on my first visit I looked better than I did for years. I got a lot of compliments. What luck to meet her. Since then I followed her wherever she worked. For the past several months Susan has opened her own shop, called VIP Nails & Hair. I must say the shop is lovely. It's beautifully decorated, very clean and there is a happy, peaceful atmosphere. One feels very welcome to be there. Susan is very knowledgeable about the body and takes extra sanitary precautions. For instance, each pedicure tub is equipped with a disposable plastic liner so that there is no danger of catching infections. In addition to the beautiful work that comes out of her salon she gives the client her undivided attention and uses all of her creativity because she honestly wants you to look your best. A very unexpected hidden gem! They are located across from…read morethe former auto shop that I frequented. While waiting for my car, I walked over and thought that I would try them out. Upon walking in, I was greeted right away and seated. The lady was very patient as I wanted to ensure they sanitize the tools and she took steps to show me how they do the process. I watched as several regular customers came in and they were all greeted and you could tell they have known them for a long time. The place is clean and neat. I am happy with the results and the paint lasted a long time. They are a bit far as they are in downtown Katy. I will go back when I am in the area!
