Before I found them, I never trusted men doing my nails but Kevin here proved me wrong! They never pressure you into any additional service and everyone has always been very polite! I don't mind any one of them doing my nails but I especially like Tam because of how detail oriented she is. I'm usually pretty plan Jane but once in a while I'd want to try different designs and she would always entertain the idea. I don't understand any of negative reviews about this place but of course everyone has different opinions. However, I strongly encourage everyone to give them a try!!

At the time of writing, her salon space is located in the Phenix Salon Suites in Katy. Parking is ample since it shares a huge lot with other businesses like Joanne's Fabrics. It is the ambiance and her super friendly demeanor that makes every visit a comfortable and worthwhile one. I'm the kind of person who has a hard time speaking up for herself. If something isn't the way I asked for, I tend to take it and try to be content with the result. It is Vanessa's kind nature that makes it easy to speak my thoughts. If I ever have any questions, she answers them. If I ever have any concerns on my nail design, she fixes it. Above all that, what I really appreciate is that she doesn't always wait for the customer to say something. Vanessa asks if I'm comfortable with the length, design, color, step, etc because she wants to be considerate. Vanessa is not one to boast about her skills, so I will do that for her. In the amount of time I've known her, my nails have NEVER lifted, and I could go for weeks without seeing her. I have always been satisfied with the results and have naturally gotten compliments wherever I go. The one time something went awry after I saw her, I immediately messaged her and she offered to fix it. I had always been envious of those who had amazing relationships with their nail techs. But with Vanessa, I have gained more than just a skilled nail technician. She's a friend I trust and someone thoroughly enjoy to spend time with. So, do I recommend? Absolutely.

I wanted a natural base with the polish I picked out but I was asked so many questions that felt like they were directing me to choose a white background. Fine. But when she put POLY GEL on my nails instead of builder gel, my mind was blown. These are 2 completely different products. I let it go bc again, I wanted to relax before vacation. My pedicure was okay. Before she even put the top coat on, I could see a missed spot on my toes bc there was no dry time between coats. Fresh "builder gel" set and pedicure with tip came out to ~$130. I only returned a second time out of sheer curiosity bc I wanted to see how they would do a BUILDER GEL refill on a POLY GEL set. But they used poly gel again. I wanted this simple line work design. Idk how much they charged bc I wasn't told and their receipts are not itemized. There is also no pricing list / menu available to customers. A refill with the design and tip came out to $115. I cannot bring myself to come back to this salon. There's no confirmation of pricing, I asked for a specific service and received the wrong product. Everyone I've interacted with there is friendly and it's a pretty salon but there's a lack of transparency that I can't get on board with.

Never did she give any thought to how she sounded. The salon was full of ladies trying to enjoy our day of leisure . We did talk about the lady when she left. I really liked that efficiency because it made the whole experience smoother and more relaxing. Pedicure: The pedicure was very relaxing, very comforting, and overall just a nice experience. The lady who did it was very sweet, but there was a little bit of a language barrier when I tried explaining exactly what I wanted -- a pink nude shellac color as the base for my French tip. After a few tries, we were able to find something that worked beautifully, and honestly, it looks wonderful. I hadn't had a pedicure in months, and this one really did the job -- it felt healing and refreshing. She got started right away before asking which pedicure I wanted, and once my legs were moisturized and my nails were shaped, she asked if I wanted to upgrade. The basic pedicure alone is actually very thorough and intense, so it already does the job perfectly if you don't want to pay extra. The No. 2 pedicure I chose came with the shellac and French design, and it turned out beautiful -- my toes matched my nails perfectly. Nails: For my nails, I told her I wanted a nude French tip, but we had a hard time finding a nude that fit my dark skin tone. We eventually found one that looked very natural and flattering, which I appreciated. The French tip process itself was really neat, and she added a cross charm and a flower with rhinestones on top of the design. I originally wanted designs on all ten fingers, but because of the communication barrier, I ended up getting designs on just three nails instead -- the cross, one flower, and another nail with a flower design. Even though it wasn't exactly what I asked for, it still came out very cute and well done. The price for my nails came to around $60, which isn't bad for shellac, French tips, and some design. Prices: Nails (colored French tips + flower + charm designs): about $60 Pedicure (No. 2 with shellac + French tips + design): about $60 Total came to $122, which I think is fair for both services and the time they spent. Atmosphere & Service: Everyone was polite, and the shop itself felt calm and organized. The massage chairs were nice, though they turned them off after a while because the shaking was interfering with the nail designs. The bathroom could've been a little cleaner, but that wasn't a big deal. Overall Thoughts: It was a really good and relaxing experience, and both my nails and toes came out very cute and neatly done. I just wouldn't recommend this place if you're coming in for high-design or complicated nail art, since it seems more like a salon that's great for simple, pretty sets at a cheap price and amazing pedicures. So overall, I'd rate it a 7 out of 10. If you want a simple set, a cute design, and a very nice pedicure, this is definitely a good spot.

Overall, the customer service just didn't feel like a priority here. When we left my daughter told me she was cut multiple times too. First world problems I know with some of my complaints. Unfortunately, I left disappointed and won't be returning. Only tried a new salon because others didn't open until 9:30am and my friend was on a time crunch.
