Friendly and attentive staff. Did not manage a picture of the meatballs, but they were fantastic, the chips and guac were some of the best I've had as well. Huge chips, and a large amount of guac that was incredibly fresh. Easily shareable

I came here, specifically, for the rooftop bar area, they were shut down for a wedding reception, but it was very crowded out there the inside had a big crowd too. They had a bday party in the corner. It is a pretty nice scene. I kept hearing about it and wanted to stop for appetizers and drinks before going out to dinner for the anniversary. The only rooftop bar I've ever been to was vendue range. Roof top bars are very sexy. This one was no different, extremely pricey, though. Two drinks and two apps was over seventy dollars. Pretty easy to find parking. I had the empanadas and tacos. Fish tacos were confusing. Lil fish strips were like tortilla strips. Lol. The fish was supposed to be the main ingredient not the accessory. Lol. OVERPRICED!!!! Cool place for a vibe tho.

Such a great spot! My boyfriend took me for my birthday dinner and this was the perfect place. We had reservations for 7:00pm but got there a little early and they were able to accommodate an early seating. Our server was able to help us pick foods that worked with some of his dietary restrictions and was overall AMAZING. She just had the best energy. The rooftop has a beautiful view over Calhoun St and Marion Square and gets the perfect breeze, it is the ideal date night spot. I imagine it gets loud when it gets later in the evening or on the weekends but there was no better spot for a weeknight dinner.

The Ritual is gorgeous--like, "am I in Charleston or did I just teleport to Tulum?" gorgeous. From the moment we stepped off the elevator, I felt like I needed a flowy white dress and a mocktail in a coconut. We originally sat out on the rooftop (because, of course, rooftop = cute pics), but then the wind decided to start auditioning for a hurricane. Thankfully, the staff was super sweet and moved us inside right away--warmth and kindness restored. Now, about the food... this is where things got complicated. We wanted to be obsessed. We tried to be obsessed. But alas, my taste buds were not sending love letters that night. We started with: Tulum Bravas - only one of us liked them (and spoiler: it wasn't me). Crispy Brussels - as a self-proclaimed Brussels girlie, this one hurt. All I could taste was lemon--like, a lot of lemon. Insert sad face. Chicken Tinga Empanadas - finally, some redemption! These were quite tasty and definitely the table's favorite. For mains: One twin had the Tulum Caesar Salad (was actually pretty tasty), the other had Mojo Chicken Tacos (were totally lacking), my oldest (aka best oldest daughter ever--she treated us for a four-birthday celebration because all our birthdays are weeks apart ) got The Ritual Burger came out pink and flavorless (she asked for well done ), and I ordered the Seared Tuna Sandwich... which sadly came with tuna that forgot to RSVP to the seasoning party. The presentation? Stunning. The flavors? Hit or miss. But even though the food didn't win us over, the vibes, decor, and service absolutely did. We laughed a ton, looked adorable doing it, and ended the night with the sweetest surprise--our waitress had told the kitchen we were celebrating, so they brought out a slice of chocolate peanut butter cake and four churros, with candles. We blew them out together, giggling and grateful. So, would we go back? Maybe--for the atmosphere, the cocktails, and that Tulum aesthetic. But next time, I'll hope the flavor gods are in a better mood.

This was not a planned visit. We were heading to King Street for a drink and stumbled on Ritual. We took a gamble and went in. What a cool place. It's decorated beautifully and has a great vibe. The music is loud so not the easiest for conversation but fun. The bartenders were great and everyone was very friendly. If you're looking for a cool rooftop experience, give Ritual a try.

Ritual was the third stop of the night last weekend, when were in Charleston to celebrate a friend's birthday. The bar is upstairs and has some good views of the city, which we enjoyed from the patio/balcony area. But it might have been my least favorite stop of the night. Clubby inside, I stayed out on the patio area to take in the views and the quiet compared to inside. Bar offerings were pretty standard. If you're looking for a place to drink and dance, Ritual might be the right spot, but it wasn't for me.

A pretty good rooftop bar with reasonably priced small bites. I stopped in here for a quick snack midday on a Sunday, and the place had plenty of availability. We shared the chips and guac and the chicken and waffles. Our server generously refilled our chips as needed, and the chicken and waffles was really good and only $14. While I don't think anything here was mind blowing, it was great quality for the fairly low price tag and a great way to escape the heat!

We were really disappointed in our meal at Ritual. My three friends and I went on Sunday night. First of all, it was tough to get a reservation, so we assumed it would be a crowded and popular spot! However, it was pretty empty when we arrived. Odd. Our server was quite possibly one of the most miserable people I've ever encountered in my entire life. She seemed to be deeply bothered by our very existence. We are all professionals in our mid-30s so it's not like we were some rowdy group of unsupervised preteens, but even if we were, that wouldn't have been a reason to be rude. We asked for recommendations for appetizers and mains and she acted like we asked her to recite Moby Dick from memory. Also, my friend asked for some hot sauce for her taco, and the server never brought it. Even worse - she NEVER came back to ask how our food was! I can't recall the last time I've had such bad service. The food, overall, left quite a bit to be desired. The only delicious item we had was the chicken tinga empanadas, and that's honestly the only reason I didn't give this place a one star review. We also had the hangar steak, which was a measly portion, but tasted quite good. The albondigas were very good, and the fish tacos were alright. The Brussels sprouts were disgustingly burnt and very flavorless. The drinks were also gross. We ordered the espresso martini flight and honestly all of them were bad. My friend is a big espresso martini fan and said they were the worst she'd had. Yes, the place is very ~*aesthetic*~ (lol) and nicely decorated, but that absolutely cannot make up for truly terrible service and inconsistent food. Overpriced for the quality for certain.

Service was great from the hostess to the server. Ty, our server was very attentive and ensured we had a decent time. She even brought our bride a lemon drop shot, which so happened to be a favorite of the bride. Live the aesthetic of the place. It gives off vacation on a resort vibe from the foliage, decor, fixtures, furniture etc... Getting dropped off by the uber in front of this place will leave you with low expectations. You'll have to enter into what seems like an abandoned lobby with no attendant and take the elevator to the second or third floor. After stepping off the elevator, you'll breathe a sigh of relief. A very welcoming sight awaits. I will say I wasn't too impressed with the food. The steak was very chewy and not cooked to my preferred temp and color, but we made it due. The less complaints the better for the bride. So we kept it light and to a minimum. The Brussels sprouts are phenomenal. Easy 10/5 lol. I could have been content with a bowl of Brussels by myself, but I prob would have paid for it later iykyk. The drinks were handcrafted to perfection with the perfect amount of sweetness and alcohol. I rather taste the sweetness than the liquor any day. I highly recommend the drink, Coco Amantes. You won't be disappointed. Overall experience 5/5. Food 3/5. Drinks 5/5. Memories 10/10.

What an unexpected surprise. Ritual is a roof top bar and unless you know this ahead of time you would not from the outer exterior of the building. My daughter and I just happened to come across the restaurant as a sign suggest that we should come to the third floor rooftop to visit winter wonderland. The restaurant is Tapas so if you're looking to dive into a hardy meal not so much. However, very tasty. The food in my opinion was pricey but when in Charleston you're going to pay to dine. Now let's get into the nightlife of Ritual, with a Dj on deck and rooftop seating this is definitely a cool place to hang for dancing, drinks, and Tapas . Beautiful decor. Our hostess was spot on with her recommendations and they were greatly appreciated.

Cute rooftop with in and outdoor seating. Came for dinner on a sunday night. Specifically made res for outdoor but they had us marked down as indoor so Idk what happened there but if you are passionate you should call ahead to check. Love the boho, tropical decor in and outside. The view outside is nice but it's not JAW DROPPING. Our service was good, and our food came out quickly. food is pricey for what you get. - Crispy brussel sprouts - yummy, but average. They were huge so not super crispy. Carrot puree as a sauce was interesting but good. - Grilled shrimp tacos - delish! Loaded with shrimp and the mango pico was super refreshing. - Steak tacos - also tasty! Overall we were happy with our meal but it wasn't our favorite meal in the city. Mostly for vibes - I believe it becomes a club / party scene in the later evening

We stopped in for some libations on a beautiful sunny Saturday. Beautiful views of park and churches. Elevator or stairs to rooftop, three bars with a restaurant, two open air and one inside. TV's, turf grass, lots of seating. Enjoy!

    Out with friends.

Music was bumpin' The night was JUST getting started. Hard to find a seat, especially with 12 people, but we managed okay. Decided to just have one drink and head to a more comfortable bar. Walked back past it later and there was a line around the block! I can see how, but the pallet chairs were not comfortable. Drinks were good, though!

Appetizers/shareable- We shared the calamari and French fries. The calamari was good! It came with an aïoli dipping sauce that was delicious. The French fries were comparable to any other restaurant fries. Nothing special. Main entrees- we each had a bite off of each other's entree/shareable to sample. Swordfish sandwich- flavor was there, battering was thin coated and gave off a nice crunch. Ceviche tacos- had a nutty Asian flavor to it. Came in 3 little bite sized taco like chips. Miss Paula grilled shrimp- shrimp in a curry Thai like oil served with 5 toasted baguette slivers. If you're into Thai red curry, I'd recommend this. They advertised the shrimp is locally caught. Oysters- nothing too exciting. Kitchen service- The reason behind the 0/5 for the kitchen service is because they messed up our order so many times. They missed two of our orders and didn't make them until we said something. Instead of getting our side salads we kept getting fries. We got double of things we hadn't ordered. From the moment the first person got served their food, there was a 40 minute gap in between the serving of the last person. Our foods weren't served together so we had some girls having to wait to eat. Even then, our last girl got her food to go because we also had another rsvp to be at. We spent about 3 hours on the rooftop total when they were so adamant on having a reservation. We expected to be here for only an hour so we could spend more time exploring downtown but couldn't do that due to the speed of the kitchen service.

We arrived for dinner with our 2-year-old. The tone was set immediately by our server, who was visibly annoyed when I didn't respond to his greeting fast enough because I was tending to my toddler. Rather than reading the situation with any empathy, he sharply said "Hi, miss" in a way that made it clear he expected immediate attention. Not a great start. Things only went downhill from there. My husband had to briefly step away to take a work call, and instead of accommodating the situation in any reasonable way, the server dropped water and bluntly said he'd return "when your husband is back"--effectively refusing to engage with me at all. Trying to make the best of it, I decided to feed my child first. After waiting quite a while with no assistance, I had to flag someone down--who turned out to be the manager. What followed was honestly the most appalling part of the evening. I asked if they could simply warm up my child's food. Not only did she refuse, she told me I could not feed my child in the restaurant. No alternatives offered. No attempt at accommodation. No offer for a kid friendly food item, or no offer to feed her in the hotel lobby. Her "solution" was that I should leave the restaurant and go find some outdoor space nearby to feed my toddler. To make matters worse, she added that "service will start at 6:15 sharp," essentially implying I should figure it out and be back on their timeline. The complete lack of empathy, flexibility, or basic hospitality was astonishing. I have never encountered such dismissive and hostile behavior toward a family with a young child--especially at a supposedly high-end establishment. Mind you we have been to plenty of restaurants including 3 Michelin stars. If you're dining with a child--or frankly, if you expect to be treated with basic respect--I would strongly recommend going elsewhere.
