First of all: I'd hate to say that this place really isn't in "Woodstock" like the address says it…read moreis. It's just in the outer banks of Kingston - off Route 28. This address is just unclear and seems like it's further into Woodstock then it really is, upon initial inspection. I came into this gas station - after having a longer trip I wasn't expecting to have had to the outer banks of Mt. Tremper on Uber. I knew I was in need of gas - I can't let my gas go below a half tank or longer trips on Uber can run any car I run to go out of gas quickly, and not make my trip to the place very pleasant. However, I was at the quarter tank mark when I came past so in I came. Although the gas areas were filling quickly - not many other customers were moving quickly. There were a few lanes open, and not having a direct-in from 28 southbound is really discouraging to see. There are signs of no left turn - forcing those to take Zena Rd's one entrance into the gas station. However, when I got in there, the signs don't seem to be stopping people. I watched three cars turn left into the business - bypassing this sign; if I would have had my phone on me, I would've video-recorded it and showed it to the police. I did it right and turned off Zena Rd instead, so that's all that matters here. I got gas - as normal. It asked if I wanted a receipt (for a pay-at-the-pump transaction) after I pressed the button for "yes", I couldn't help but notice that the screen never "cleared" my selection after it sent my receipt out. Maybe it's just a delay in these pumps - I haven't had this problem on any other Stewarts pumps before, so not sure what happened. I responded to a few things, then upon exiting back out directly onto 28, was forced to hang a right and head northbound - when I clearly wanted to go southbound (and my car was facing clearly due north with no way to go south). I didn't think I could swing around and head back to Zena Rd, and with all the car traffic in their few parking spots and all the foot traffic in the "parking lot" didn't think I could make it around to get back to 28 south. Clearly, that area has to change. I shouldn't be forced to go miles out of my way the opposite directions of the clearest directions most people are coming just because some business feels it's not right to make certain turns. I could easily have fit the left turn into the business if there hadn't been the no-left turn sign. Not too sure of the left turn out, because there's not enough space to make the turn, and I shouldn't be forced to make a turn I was unwilling to make - to go miles out of my way back from where I came from - the next turn to turn around was 3 miles out of my beckon way.

They have a large number of gas pumps, and the gas prices are reasonable, They have everything you need from food, snacks, other food items, and sundries, if you are in a pinch, they even sell cell phone cables. They have milk, beer , alcoholic hard sodas and teas, as well as sodas and other nonalcoholic drinks. I really like the "liquid death" flavored sparkling water. They come in some great flavors, with clever names.. They also have hot food, an espresso/coffee bar, and even a sandwich shop. The espresso bar and the sandwich shop are not open 24 hours, though . They also have an ATM that does not charge a surcharge. The only thing you would pay is whatever your bank charges you to not use one of their ATMs. If you get a quick check card, you can get some very good deals when your shop. All you do is swipe your card or punch in your phone number. Most of the time, the employees are very friendly, once in a while, you get somebody who is a little bit grumpy, but hey, everybody has a bad day. Be aware, that if you want a bag, you have to pay $.50 for one of their cloth bags. Yes, they are reusable, but I have so many of those darn things, I could open up my own grocery store. I just came back on July 23rd, but I came back with some fanfare. She knew me from other past orders, but never this close - to be on my special day. She asked all the right questions (about the whipped cream and chocolate syrup) and even the cherry on top and although I had to lighten things for sugar content, I knew nothing was yet to go wrong and that I was striving for more. About 5 minutes after I walked and paid and later watched her prepare the stuff, but that I was able to step back with my stuff and eat it while people-watching all the while. I'm sorry that whenever I come in, I'm always on foot. Being that all the cars we own, I've had some trouble with driving. Having other people here who have cars but have some trouble with insurance, really strikes out that forces us to not drive, and it's totally great that I can walk to your place totally on foot and still pick up some great service. Ambience is what I've come to expect. That feeling of classic gas station turned convenience store while showing no signs of it's former gas station appearance, really says something. The walls are almost always clean and I almost always forget that there's a billboard of stuff on their north wall nearest the windows and restroom.
