After completing a few nighttime Uber rides earlier this month, after noticing a heavy mess of dew…read moreon my windshield while driving (which my wipers just weren't cleaning up very well), I decided to stop in and try to find something to clear up the situation and get me home (such as soft paper towels and the like). Although I found this store to be a suitable place to buy simple items that are quickly needed, I really don't think I'll be in here much. I don't get to use (what used to be) Kingston Hospital much, and having this store around the corner might be convenient for those in desperate need of a quick prescription during the day (if they don't think they'll be able to walk into the other nearby CVS, RiteAids or other Walgreens in Kingston which are just as close. However, I found the store to be clean and well organized. It was late at night, but the store wasn't closed at that point when I walked in. Many kudos go to this store for being open when I needed them. It didn't take me very long at all to "shop" for the items, and I was even greeted that night walking in (although it was the cashier who didn't come out and say it to my face until much later when I brought my stuff to the register to check-out.) I don't remember closing my rewards card, so I was amazed that Walgreens still had my rewards card number in it's database (I have never used it since I started it in 2010) when I got rung up. I was also surprised at the product selection, though it was leaving a little more to be desired. In terms of soft paper towels, outside of Viva and a store-brand, I was amazed that there were no real other choices...but I took my chances and actually found that store-brand really did work for me in a pinch, and I thank you.

I just visited Walgreens around 12 PM, and the customer service at the front counter was extremely…read moredisappointing. The gentleman working the register had a terrible attitude toward multiple customers. One customer ahead of me even had to ask for a bag for his purchases. Nobody expects employees to be overly cheerful, but basic courtesy, professionalism, and respect should be expected, especially when working directly with the public. Everyone is going through something in life. People are dealing with deaths, personal struggles, financial hardships, and things you know nothing about. There is no reason to make customers feel like an inconvenience simply because they walked into your store. If you don't have the patience or temperament to work with the public, perhaps the front counter isn't the right position. Customer service matters, and this experience definitely deserves management's attention.

Although I've never had a reason to actually purchase medications from this Walgreen until recently…read morewhen I had to pick up a free prescription order for my younger brother, I thought I was going to have a problem. The employee, during a previous position with another customer, looked like he was going to have a hard time dealing with my problem. Although it took him a little while to obtain the right information via his computer, it took him a few extra seconds searching for the product. But in the end, his register printed the receipt and I got away scot-free. He actually served my order well, with very little to worry about. I know I shouldn't judge people by their previous actions, but it seemed like a difficult encounter to associate to when I got there. The rest of the store was clean and maintained, but the aisles were a bit narrower and I was unable to make it through successfully without bumping into something. Their selection of goods made them an applicable candidate to suit me when their competitors lost my business, although don't expect to see my drug orders converted to this pharmacy any time soon, as I have a bit of a medical situation/crisis going on myself. I do remember, though the times I used to use your store when it was in that mall nearby, and those were definitely the good ol' days. I thank you for moving your store closer to the main drag and even adding that Drive-Up window, and even for now being a 24/7 store. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Not only that, but for the time it took to fill the product, time was actually a very nominal part of our order. Although I myself am not switching at the present time from my pharmacy elsewhere, this would be a 3rd level pharmacy(only the WalMart pharmacy beats this in rating) in my list. I only had the one problem. Although there is a dietician on site, she wasn't on site when I arrived that day, so seeing her here has to wait, but from what I've heard, she too is also very good with her customers and takes as much time and explanaations as what the customer and her feels fit to get the point accross(despite the free to nominal cost to use that service) is to afford. I definitely don't find THAT service anywhere's else. Thanks a million!

And to make it even worse, the other side changes too. This store's setup with their aisle system makes me quite bezerk, and made me want to leave after I saw the store. Other than that, the store looked clean, and well-stocked (but not over-stocked) in products. Employees seemed to be confident in knowing their products. Other negatives slightly outside the store were the one entrance/exit was an entrance only (from Flatbush Ave/Route 32) but you can't see that until you are down near the bottom of the road. More signage needed-perhaps even a "Do Not Enter" sign at the very top of the entrance where people can see this. The entrance/exit from the Bypass seems tricky, trying to cross several lanes of heavy traffic, especially at near rush-hour at night! When I factored in everything in this experience and when I say that I was unable to find my product (which I noticed they had several other "As Seen on TV" products but not mine), this experience wasn't too enjoyable for me. On a more personal note, I was looking for at least one (if not two) Forever Lazy products, but was unable to find them, and no one came up to see if they could help me look.
