Ed Ullmann, the pharmacist, spoke to us as people -- he walked around the counter to be face to face, rather than stay behind the counter -- and was tremendously helpful. The Rx wasn't in the Phoenicia pharmacy, and I asked to pick it up in the Tannersville pharmacy; it was done seamlessly. Up in Tannersville I was helped by the pharmacist (Jennifer B, I believe), who was as helpful and kind as I needed. This is the way health care should work. Not a corporate profit point, but a place to get help from a human being who is caring and kind. I'm a believer, and I HIGHLY recommend Well ess Rx.

Took 3 phone calls and 2 visits to get a prescription filled…read more When I went in to pick it up, it was not ready and the cashier said come back in 10 mins. I went back the next am and was told it was out of stock partially and not ready. The Cashier said they had an incompetent pharmacist the last 2 days. When I asked to speak to the pharmacist she also blamed the pharmacist on staff last 2 days. Another person weighed in and said she had moved the prescription to "out of stock" status but had not informed me. I asked them to prepare whatever they had as I could not keep coming back. When I picked it up a few minutes later I informed the cashier I would not be coming back. The cashier replied "sounds good to me" in a sarcastic tone. I will not be going back.

Sure enough, I was able to use their restroom. It was fairly clean for a public restroom, but unfortunately the soap dispenser was empty--only hand sanitizer was available. I was too exhausted at the time to bring it up to staff. Note: I'm deliberately using the correct word restroom--not "bathroom," since there was no bathtub. At 17, during a senior class trip to France, I asked for the bathroom location in a restaurant, and a few French people responded that Americans use the word bathroom instead of restroom when looking for a public toilet, and I have never forgotten that! I have been using the word "restroom" ever since! I'm giving this CVS four stars, deducting one for the lack of soap.

Getting my prescriptions filled has been an effort like I have never before had to make. The most aggravating thing, however, is that you cannot ever reach someone by phone. It is more profitable for them to switch you from one irrelevant menu to the next rather than put a person on the phone. I have had a truly miserable experience with this pharmacy and would give them no stars if I could. I will be looking for a more person-centered pharmacy and moving my business there. Dealing with this pharmacy is not at all worth the effort. I wish others would do the same and demand some customer service.
