So onto attempt #1: I came to the pharmacy on a weeknight and immediately after entering, I see from the entrance a half dozen people in line. Ugh. Nevermind. I turned around and left. Attempt #2: Came back the next morning and it was thankfully not crowded. There was just another person talking to a pharmacist as I got into line. Waited a minute and was able to talk to the pharmacist. Asked a few questions and paid for what I needed and left. Free at last! So overall, couldn't get what I needed immediately but just being flexible can save some aggravation.

This was my first time using any pharmacy for my new prescription for my recent diagnosis with ADHD. When I stoped by on Aug. 15th, Saturday, around 4:00pm, Bryan C. helped me at the Consultant window inside the store. He looked me up and down like I was a criminal, and I felt judged and profiled. It is my first time picking up a prescription for this medication as I was only recently diagnosed by my doctor. Bryan C. asked me personal questions like, "Why is my doctor so far away?" "Where do you live now?" "Have you lived with near your doctor before?" He seemed like he wanted to play detective instead of help me with filling my prescription. He basically told me "Since you don'y have medical insurance, I don't trust you." He told me I NEED to get medical insurance. He told me he doesn't trust my doctor based off the 2 minutes of speaking to me, as if he knows more than an actual psychiatric doctor. Bryan C. denied my prescription even though it was in the CVS system. He verified it, but since my doctor is not close by, Bryan chose to judge and profile me. I already have a new appt. to see my doctor now because I need my prescription sent somewhere else. I will never use CVS for my future medication because of this guy Bryan C.

At first they took away the coffee shop I loved so much, that I had been going to since I was 4 years old, but then they got taken over by the 986 chain and suddenly the pharmacy techs who I'd been seeing my whole life were gone. The lady who had a daughter the same age as mine was gone. It became so cold and sterile. And incredibly unprofessional. Last time I picked up was a disaster. I had to call them to pick up my meds- they wouldn't prep them until I called them which is wild, that's never how it used to work. Then, when I went to pick up my meds, when I got home I noticed I was missing a script. I called them and asked what happened and they told me they were out so they didn't fill it. That couldnt have been mentioned ONCE at pickup???? Great, thanks. Now I'm out my meds... thank goodness I had some extra at home. And forget using your FSA/HSA card. They always run it wrong. Last time I had a balance of 3k and they told me I was out of funds. I said "absolutely not, try again, my app says I have 3k" and they ran it again and of course it went through. But it always takes several tries of several employees here (but not at Whittier community....). Anyways, this used to be my go to pharmacy- and now it's just horrid. Never returning....

The store was nice and clean, and the employees were very friendly and welcoming with smiles. One employee named Fernando was especially helpful, polite, and professional while assisting me with my items. When he noticed there were about 3 customers waiting in line, he immediately opened another register to help everyone faster. When I paid, my reward paper slip didn't print, but Fernando kindly explained that there was a computer issue. He apologized and even offered to add the points directly to my card instead. I thought I was slick thinking I'd save time rather than going to the ones in La Habra or La Mirada. I was taking a risk as I didn't know if any locations had the Accu-chek Guide Starter Kit. I walked to the rear of the store to the pharmacy. I thought great no line, but the waiting customers were hidden behind the aisle shelving! I'm already here, just get in the back of the line and wait my turn. FYI, it's the holiday weekend. If your prescription isn't already in the system, save time and come back on a regular business day. My prescription wasn't able to be transferred from the mail order pharmacy. Thank you to Jennifur, the pharmacy manager. You get 5 stars for customer service. You went the extra mile as I wasn't local to your pharmacy. However, I can still find my favorite flavors in their ice cream freezer section. I use the pharmacy here and most of the staff is friendly. I encountered a very unhelpful and condescending Pharmacist (female ) that was working there one evening. I returned the following day and thankfully there was a different pharmacist there , his name is Brian who was very helpful and kind. The pharmacy has an automated refill system for maintenance medications. I get a text automatically letting me know when my prescriptions are ready. I can pay on the app and have my meds delivered or I can pick them up. This is a huge convenience for me. The one concern about this location is parking lot safety at night. It is extremely dark. It would be great if the city or the business would install more lighting. It would be more secure when visiting this store in the evening.

I would say that we would regularly wait around 20-30 minutes before we actually got called in for the shot. Also, the staff isn't rude but they also aren't very polite. If anything they are more on the less polite side if anything. Even though we submit everything online for our appointment, we're always questioned about the same information, such as "Did you make an appointment online?" "Is this the first shot?" etc, etc., I mean, all of this information is given when you make the appointment online, so if they took the time to just look, they wouldn't have to ask these questions in some accusatory manner, like we didn't do something right. Anyway, for that, I'm giving it lower stars. Also, parking in their parking lot can be challenging since many spots are for specific stores so be careful to look carefully when parking.

It was frustrating to waste a trip after confirming over the phone. The staff were rude, and the pharmacy seemed unorganized. They appeared more focused on taking their lunch breaks than helping me resolve the issue. They should verify vaccine availability before confirming appointments and respect their customers' time.
