Yesterday, when Rite Aid opened, they had a 90% off sale due to them closing. We were in line waiting when the they opened. It was incredible, we purchased over two grand of merchandise. Our grand total was $237, Our receipt was so long! We got diapers, candles, laundry detergent, you name it, we got it. The line was about an hour long, but so worth it! Severely understaffed. They do not fill prescriptions when the doctor sends them. You have to come in, stand in line for 30 minutes, ask for it to be filled, wait another 30 minutes for it to get filled, then stand in line again for 30 more minutes to pay. Worst customer service ever from a Pharmacy. I would have to drive 70+ miles to see if they carried my mothers medication. Since they can't disclose over the phone. Tammy was very unhelpful and the manager was even worse. I wouldn't recommend filling any prescriptions here even though someone told me to call today to see if they had it since she has Fibro and Parkinsons and is in extreme pain. They lacked empathy and I would never use rite aid again after this experience. read more

This rite aid use to have pretty good customer. But, not anymore they are constantly short on people and the ones that they have do not have clear understanding of the job. I have a prescription that is quite expensive but a have a manufacturer coupon for it. Everytime they run it through my insurance and then tell me they won't pay for it. I have to explain I have a manufacturer coupon and it's not going through my insurance. This and the fact that they have to order it make my prescription a week late. Or another time I had prior approval for a two week prior to Going into get my prescription. They told me they are waiting on prior approval called a week later, after two weeks of calling I called my insurance and the drug was approved a month prior. So they were too lazy to check and just said waiting on prior approval. I have quite a few prescriptions and I need a pharmacy that will track they to insure I don't get one drug that has a reaction with another one. But the incompetent people that work I don't think they can read more

We were forced to move our prescriptions here from Walgreens when our insurance changed the fulfillment interface they used and Walgreens wasn't compliant. At first it seemed like a step down, Rite Aid has been here since I was a kid. It isn't as new and shiny. After a while I began to prefer this pharmacy, however. They are fast, efficient, and friendly. If there are 4 people in line in front of you...you won't be waiting 15 minutes. For some reason Wgreens with all of their fancy computers and drive through...it still ended up being frustrating at times. read more

Well, I will not be getting another persciption filled from Rite Aid in Tehachapi. They do not have it together.. at all....What happened to the old staff?? The new staff is so incompetent that now, I have to drive 55 miles to the Rite Aid on China Grade Loop .Because they do not know how to fill a perscription..... ;( First of all I could not understand the Asian pharmacist because she has a poor grasp of the English language. She said she was not able to fill my perscription because it was called in by a Dentist...And that he did not provide the proper ID number. I thought this was odd because after 33 years as a doctor of Dental Surgery he has called in a perscrption a time or two-----sorry about the sarcasm I called The Rite Aid on China Grade Loop ans asked that the perscrption be transferred to them, As soon as the Tehachapi Rite Aid made the transfer---- Bakersfield Rite Aid said that there was no problem with the perscribing doctor and that the information was correct... Go figure. The pharmacy tech had the customer service skills of a spolied 15 year girl. Non-verbal communication like a dirty looks.,eye rolling, and long exasperated sighs, tells the customer everything.---------like " Quit coming here! Customers suck, Ugh,I hate people there always bothering me" To top it off---- She loudly ordered me to step to the side so she could give me a piece of her mind. I moved to Tehachapi in 2016. When I lived in L.A. I went to the Rite Aide on National and Sawtell, never had a problem filling a prescription. Totally different story up here. Since moving here, not once have I had an easy time filling a prescription. Every time there has been an issue. I thought my favorite one was when I went to fill my prescription and they told me Since I'd been getting my prescriptions in L.A., I needed to drive back to L.A. and fill it there. But this was the clincher, I go to drop off my prescription and they said the couldn't fill it because the Dr didn't write in her address under her name. Really??? The prescription paper had her name and address printed on the letterhead. The pharmacist told me to go back and have the Dr write the address on the line under her name. I drove back told the front desk she went back to the Dr and then handed my prescription back to me. I go back to Rite Aide hand the paper to the pharmacist and since it was written with a different pen, he practically accused me of forgery. I get a text the next day to pick up my prescription and out of the 3 that I should of gotten, I only received one of them. With that, I collected the unused prescriptions, took out my "Wellness" card, put it down on the counter, and told the person waiting on me I would take my business elsewhere. I agree with David. The manager always seems like you are bothering her and she has better things to do than help you, but the other employees make up for her. They are way more friendly and will help you in a heartbeat. Everyone in the pharmacy is friendly also! read more

The Manager there is a huge jerk, she kept snapping at me when I calmly asked general questions about their stock. The other employee on duty helped me more and was much more congenial. I went in at 8:35 pm hoping to get the medication the doctor had just called in. They hadn't been able to start on it yet, so I resigned myself to getting it the next business day. I went to the front to get pain meds for the interim time & while I was paying, the pharmacy paged me. I went back & they had filled the prescription right then. Rite Aide Corporation: Warning the lack of professionalism by the pharmacy staff at Tehachapi Rite Aid could be dangerous to your health. I am not against hiring young people for any job if they posses the professionalism and integrity to do the job. However there are many jobs where we cannot take that chance. I believe when it comes to your medical care or your medication people should be held to this standard, apparently Tehachapi Rite Aid pharmacy does not feel the same. One of my family members brought in a prescription to be filled. The teenage girl behind the counter knows one of my family members. (Apparently she does this person) She was very unfriendly and rude when she was handed the prescription. Then she looked at the prescription and stated she had to call the doctor because the prescription wasn't dated. After an hour of waiting my family member called me and very upset that it was taking so long. She did not feel go and just wanted to go home. I called the pharmacist that was working in the back and she said the prescription was filled and had been filled for awhile. I was livid at this point because they had made my family member who was very ill sit there for 1 hour for no reason. I think it is unacceptable that the young girl working behind the counter let her personal opinions of one of her peers interfere with her doing her job. She took it upon herself to be rude to his family and make them wait. This is 100% unacceptable! We have an epileptic in our family and some medications are life saving. Until Rite Aid remedies this problem and hires more professional people behind the counter we will be taking or business elsewhere. We cannot afford to cross our fingers and hope that someone has not messed with our medication just because they are irritated. Can You??? read more
