So, i'm not normally a 5 star kind of guy, unless i think some place is awesome or maligned. i did i drive through Covid test, most convenient plave near tehachapi. The pharmacy got me early, walked me through the test with good humor. An excellent experience, sorry i didn't get her name (through the highly reflective window). i stopped into the store based upon the reviews. All i can say is WOW, now this relatively new store would be good in the big city, it's awesome in the small desert town of Rosamond. There needs to be a way to give absolutely no stars. This pharmacy is a joke and the three women that work back there are really pieces of work. They can't help themselves from talking over you and having ego issues. Yesterday I had oral surgery and this morning my surgeon calls in a prescription for Norcos. First, they say they needed a diagnosis code, which my surgeon says they only give diagnosis codes to insurance companies. So right off the bat, they're already giving me a hard time for who knows what reason. My surgeon looks into what he sent them, it turns out the diagnosis code is in the prescription. When these POS's Finally confess they have the diagnosis code, they tell me to hold on for about a good 30 minutes. When they come back, they say the pharmacy cannot get them, and it would be weeks for them to stock up. So..... shouldn't they have mentioned they didn't have stock before the whole fiasco of going through trying to get this diagnosis code? They obviously are not there to help people out. This place is crap!!! I have prescription sent here for my daughter since it's the only place in this town. Mind you, it was placed the day before from urgent care. As the only Pharmacy in our little town, it is a welcomed spot for those last minute items. They have normal Pharmacy hours and the store stays open a bit longer. Great for those bed time trips to get stuff for sick kids. This spot is especially helpful to those who live on the nearby Edwards Air Force Base. read more

We were in rite aid getting meds and booze I asked the girl behind the counter were to find an item she was very kind and pointed it out my husband and I went up to the front of the store to cash out and I felt like I was going to faint my doctor have been messing with my meds so we were next in line and I fell out I could hear but I had no control of my body the young lady behind the counter ran to help the other people came to my aid I was like a rag doll at this point my husband and two of the other people a woman and man helped my husband to get me to our car the other in the store watched over our personal items such as my phone my husband went In paid for our items and took me home I'm so thankful for all the people and stuff at that rite aid I will always be in there debt love and pray to all of you I felt so helpless it's all new to me so thank you read more

There is a reason I don't have prescriptions filled at this Rite Aid where I live. Every time you go to the pharmacy. No one even acknowledges that you are there. Today I went to pick up some allergy medicine which can only be purchased behind the counter. No acknowledgment When I was standing there. I don't expect anybody to jump to wait on me but this account should at lease Acknowledge customers standing there. Customer service is terrible!!! They are not friendly what so ever seems like they hate there job and anyone who needs help. Also if you have medical it's better to get your stuff from cvs in Lancaster because rite aid always tries to charge me when it's suppose to be free. Worst pharmacy! Drive thru is super slow. Came in before opening to be first in line, they didn't turn their lights on til 4 minutes after they're supposed to be open. Then I still had to wait for them to turn on computers, etc. Why put up business hours if you're not going to be on time? It is now 8:11 am and I finally got a "can I help you?" I never have had any issues with this location. Even if so they are very helpful and quick to correct it. Also if you are getting the C-19 vaccine they are amazing and answer all the questions you have. They only do walk-ins between certain hours so give em a call first. read more

The pharmacy employees are not very eager or quick to help customers! There's always a handful of staff in the pharmacy walking around looking busy but really aren't doing much from what I've seen. There's no reason anyone should wait 10 to 15 minutes once they're at the counter or up to 50 mins with only 3 cars in the drive thru just to pick up meds. They need to learn to organize and prioritize. Have someone dedicated to the counter and someone dedicated to the drive thru window. They know the traffic amount of customers they need to adjust! Needed my prescriptions transferred here from CVS and the guy didn't know how to input Optum Rx, kept saying I didn't have insurance and that the name and DOB was wrong when that's the policy holder not me. He didn't even ask for the policy holders information to input it. Sorry sir how have I gotten every other prescription I've needed from CVS covered by insurance but because you can't figure out how to put it in doesn't mean I don't have insurance. If all RiteAids operate the way Rosamond RiteAid operates, No wonder so many stores are being closed! Had many voice messages my prescriptions are ready! Friday late morning, 1 lady being assisted at counter and 1 man in line when I walked up to the line. 45 minutes later, I finally get to counter! Not sure how many times female behind counter ask both people their names, birthdate! If you can't remember for the 15 steps to prescription rack, WRITE IT DOWN!! I get to counter, 2 prescriptions. Had gotten 4-6 voice messages my prescriptions are ready, have til 10/09/23 to pick up. Female at counter can only find 1. By now, the line has grown to 12. After several trips between counter and prescription rack, I tell her I'll come back for 2nd, most important, prescription. Go in thru drive-up, had 2 different female voices (can't see who's there with the window tint) ask 'do you need help?' and gave name, birthdate, prescription name. 20 minutes after first female asked, a 3rd female asked if I need help? Depending on Rite Aide, Rosamond, California for my prescriptions, yes I definitely need help because I'm not getting my prescriptions at Rite Aid! 2 trips, 65 minutes waiting, and I still don't have my medication!! It's a shame! RiteAid is only pharmacy in town. So, if you want your medication correctly and in a timely manner, you have to go to Lancaster!! First through the drive through the tech tries to just shut the window I had to yell and ask when I should come back she just shrugged and said hours it's busy... three hours later we call and get put on hold, call again get put on hold call back a few minutes later the woman tries to put me on hold I tell her I've been put on hold for over 20 minutes she yells we're busy we got lines !!! I try to tell her I've been waiting for 3 hours and she hangs up on me. We get to pharmacy before they close and as we are talking to the pharmacist about the lack of professionalism the tech who was rude in the drive through and on the phone is talking crap just close enough for me to hear her. They take forever to fill prescriptions and when they're ready you have to wait in the drive through for more than 30 mins just to get your meds. They're also so rude at the window. Last year my mom had end stage lung cancer, and honestly Alice and her entire staff is as good as it gets. They made EVERYTHING on the medication end run smooth. If I had a question after I was already home I could call and speak to either Alice or Justice and both would take the time to answer my questions, and talk me through side effects if any arose. There was oral chemo medications involved in my moms treatment, and her medications had the potential to become confusing or counter act one another. Alice made sure EVERY SINGLE TIME that I had zero confusion, and she insured that my moms insurance covered the medication. Alice goes above and beyond for all of her patients, and honestly almost a year later, I can truthfully say that with out Alice and her staff caring for my mom on the medication end could have been more difficult then it needed to be. This pharmacy is terrible, after calling 4 different times, speaking to 3 different people, they still had not noted my allergy and continued to refilled prescriptions that I am allergic to, causing a delay in insurance filling the actual medication I did need. I changed all my prescriptions to Rosecare Pharmacy in Rosamond, not only did they transfer my prescriptions but they also filled my much needed medication without charge until the insurance came through. I wish I could give this pharmacy ZERO stars! They NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE! I mean never! They reject the calls, place you on hold without asking OR saying they are putting you on hold or let the phone right until it's cut off! I have never been so frustrated in my life! I got through after calling TONS of times only to be told I needed to wait 3 days for my RX... I finally called my prescription rep at my insurance to fix any issues on my end and had my RX rep to see if they could get through..... nope... nothing! I called Rite Aid Customer Service line and asked if they could help me get through. They said "no, but we will put out a message to have a manager call you kn 24-48 hours"... mind you, the whole reason for all the calls are for an emergency situation with my medication. SO... I called a Rite Aid in Lancaster to switch my prescription and stop the run-around BUT they can't find my profile because Rosamond Rite Aid hasn't done their job correctly. So now, I have to take my sick self into the nasty store to try to get it all straightened out. I am currently in the drive through to pick up my medication and am currently stuck. I've been waiting in line for over 40 minutes and I have barely moved two car lengths! This isn't the first time either. Unless you want to wait hours to pick up ur medication every time I recommend you go to any other pharmacy is AV. I find it legitimately ridiculous it takes you guys over 20 minutes per car! If I didn't live in Rosamond I would never Return to the pharmacy ever again. Booked a Covid Vaccination booster for my daughter online. Went through all the questions and was approved and got a appointment set up. Waited 1 week for my set appointment. We went there and the female worker at the pharmacy said they font give boosters to minors. I explained Riteaide let me get appointment online, also that boosters were FDA approved for 16yrs and up as well as for immuned compromised individuals. They still said no. I asked to speak to as manager and was told they were on vacation. So I asked who can I talk to. I was told i could talk to the new pharmacist who didnt know anything because they were new. So they have no authority on shift, must be nice to run a store with no bosses available. So I wasted a week of waite time on a booked appointment, a drive down to the store, and had to wait for a late night appointment that we couldn't get! Very bad business practices. DONT ever use the app, or online info. CALL instead, BETTER yet go to a store that cares. Walgreens booked my appointment and told me my daughter can get her vacation. read more

First thing is first... like everyone else has already stated, the pharmacy is a joke. I only hope that you're not in pain and needing medication when looking to pick up a prescription because you will wait a minimum of 30 minutes for a prescription. But don't leave the store. Stay within eyesight cause if you leave there's a likely chance they will take even longer to fill your prescription. Howeverrrrr Rite Aid is more than a pharmacy and we do have this beautiful new location with better lighting and an overall nicer look to it. It seems to have more product than the previous Rite Aid and now we have ice cream!! So it's not all bad. Worst pharmacy. I have the same 4 medications every single month. They called to tell me it needed to be picked up today, my husband went to get them and they have nothing there. Waited 20 minutes paid and left, only to discover when he got home that these are not my medications. They gave him one of my medications and one that was not even for me. My husband and I have always had problems with this pharmacy. They seem to think that being the only gig in town gives them the right to treat their customers like second-rate citizens. We don't even go through the drive-through. They take so long at the window, it's not worth the gas it takes to sit in your car and wait. It used to be better to park and walk inside. Not anymore. They're as slow inside as they are with the drive-through. Today, I went inside hoping my errand would be quick. That was a fantasy. There was no one else in line when I walked up. The FOUR people behind the counter were so consumed in their fake work to even look up and acknowledge me standing there. Three stood behind computers and one was rifling through the inventory at a snail's pace. No one was on a call or serving other customers. I was the first one in line, and they were ignoring me. I do wonder how long they would have left me standing there had I not walked up to the counter and demanded their attention. Sadly, today was not the worst experience I've had with them (but it may be the last). That honor lies with the unfortunate circumstance of my lost medication bottle six or so months ago. My levothyroxin had disappeared shortly after I picked it up. It was the last refill of that prescription. So, I went to my doctor to request an emergency refill, and he called it in. Rite Aid refused to fill it, even at the order of my doctor, and they never gave me so much as a phone call to discuss it with me. From my pov, they were taking too long to fill it. Days were passing with no crucial medication. Levothyroxin is not a pain killer or addictive. It is a hormone, which means no cause for suspicion. Finally, I CALLED THEM (unacceptable) to see why they were taking so long. That is when I was informed that they had decided for me (and my doctor) that they wouldn't fill it because it was too soon. Had they thought to call me for the reason of this, I could have explained sooner that it was a case of a misplaced bottle. Apparently, that never happens in their world. The only way was finally able to get my prescription that week was to yell at them on the phone. Can someone explain to me when it became acceptable or legal for a pharmacy to hold a person's life-saving medicine hostage without informing the customer and in spite of that customer's doctor? If it's not illegal, it should be. Today was the last straw for me. I'll be looking into transferring my prescription to another pharmacy. One that cares about their customers. read more
