The pharmacy is horrible! First, I drop off my sons prescription at the drive thru window. The gentleman says it will take 2 hours and he takes down my phone number to text me when it's ready.
3 hours later still no text, so I call. It must have taken 10 tries before someone at the pharmacy finally picks up. I ask them if the Rx is done because my son has the flu and needs these meds asap.
The female that answered put me on hold for a long time and when she comes back to the phone she says ... that she can not find my sons prescription. "What do you mean you can't find it?" I handed it to the man, he even looked up to see if my son still had the same insurance. So she puts me on hold again. The gentleman gets on the phone and says for me to call him back I'm 10 mins because he is looking for our prescription!
I call and call, no one picks up. Finally she lady answers rudely. I explain to her, he told me to call back and she says "oh yeah, I found it". Ok, I asked her when it will be ready.. she says next.
Then she says.... " oh I can't fill this med, we don't have it, I have to order it" omg! It's been 4 hours since I dropped this off, and they are about to close is 30 mins. I explained that my son needs this med within the first 48 hours and they could have told me 4 hours ago that they didn't have it!
Once again she put me on hold. Comes back and says "ok, we have it". Ugh... I was just happy and grateful. She says to come to the drive through in 20 mins, that's what I did. I push the bottom so that someone could know I am there and no one comes to the window! I pushed it 4 times!
Finally the gentleman that LOST my prescription comes to the window and says "I'm sorry, we don't have this medicine " WHAT! I explained that the lady told me they do and he said she was wrong. Then he says my insurance will only pay for generic. I said "fine! I will pay for name brand! Just tell me the price?!" He said I had to come inside the pharmacy because he has to close the window ( I still had 3 cars waiting behind me for over 25 mins) I told him I couldn't, I have sick kids in the car, I just want to know the price. He kept insisting for me to come in. I said no, give me the price please. He said $270.00 ... wow! That's really expensive! Especially since I know my insurance covers the whole thing if it was generic. I asked him for the actual Rx back. We drove it to 24 Cvs in Lancaster, got it filled and had zero copay.
This was the absolute worse experience with a pharmacy I have ever had. They are so unorganized and unprofessional.
