Well, it was a mistake to give this pharmacy another chance. This was the last time. I dropped off a prescription a week ago. It was back-ordered. No updates for a week. I call and I'm told to call other pharmacies AGAIN. So I did. Walgreens has the drug in stock, will call to get the prescription transferred for me, and will call me when it's ready. They were also actually pleasant on the phone, unlike the people here. Maybe you should update people when something remains on back-order. (For the record, they used to. I don't know when they stopped.) It took me five minutes to call the other pharmacy and now I'll get my medicine that I need. So I guess I'll just keep going there from now on. Rite-Aid is the worst and doesn't care at all. Maybe don't take a public-facing job if you can't even pretend to care. Not offering another other options, information, or anything else is just more rude. "It's back-ordered, try calling other pharmacies." Okay. Is there any way of determining when it's not going to be back-ordered? I don't know how your supply-chain works. And I don't necessarily NEED to know, but I might be more understanding if I had a touch of insight. Hell, can I call your supplier and ask them what their restock ETA is? Did you even bother? I've worked in a lot of global supply-chain systems, and I don't feel like you really did everything you could have. And if you did, you certainly didn't give me any indication. Maybe update people before the end of business week so they can call their doctors if they won't be able to get their medicine and need to find alternatives or make other plans. For shame Rite-Aid. You've once again shown your callous disregard for people. Beyond this, Rite-Aid as a whole is just a joke. Their website is a mess and you can't generally successfully submit a refill request on it. (I had to do it by phone.) When I submitted this prescription (and previous ones) they sent the notification to me and my wife separately, which isn't in my notification preferences, and has not ever been. While I don't really need to hide anything from her, I feel like this is a violation of my privacy. You really need to fix your systems. read more

Where is customer service the man and the woman were very rude they would not sell me my TheraFlu tea I'm 57 years old but I didn't have my drivers license with me the man after I waited in line for several minutes to get a price check didn't say anything and when they answered the phone and ignored me and then when I asked him why he did that or he could've at least acknowledge me he told me it was his job to answer the phone regardless if I'm there in line or not and he stood there and made me wet the parking lot is full of ice they did not do a good job clearing it for customers in this winter storm and there is lots of parking and easy to catch it is location but I would suggest you go elsewhere if you want people at customer service skills read more

If I could rate this pharmacy zero stars I would. They don't pick up their phone. On multiple occasions I've tried to submit a refill using their automated phone system and every time I go to pick it up, they say they never got the refill request. This pharmacy is incompetent. I asked for a refill on my medication and they filled it with an older doctor I used once in emergency. Then when it came to refill again, that doctor didn't approve the auto refill (because he's not my doctor) and I ended up missing doses and having withdrawals over the weekend. They closed their drive through so lines inside are always long and inconvienent. The automatic refill program randomly stops refilling my prescription at times. I have been hung up on the phone when calling to inquire about a prescription. The worst was today when I came to ask about the prescription I was having withdrawls from not receiving in time. It was 1:15pm and they were closing their windows for 1:30pm lunch. They would not roll down the window to speak to me even though I had 15 minutes before they technically closed in the middle of the day. They asked me yell at them my personal medical details through the front plexiglass. They couldn't even roll the door up to speak to me. Absolutely unprofessional and infuriating. Now I have to wait to 2pm for their midday break to be over. Avoid this place at all costs. I wish I could give zero stars. read more

Just tried picking up our dogs seizure medicine... always have issues with this pharmacy. Have been trying to get refilled since last week, every time we have tried to pick up they tell us to come back later. We're fully out of medicine now.... Had the Asian girl with glasses scream at us and then say she didn't have a manger on duty. Whoever she got (taller man) came and yelled at us also... our dog will be having seizures because this staff isn't capable of filing a prescription in less than two weeks. I've finally reached my limit with this pharmacy. I've been going here for years and the service has been going markedly downhill, but this experience takes the cake. I'm reeeeeally generous with people in customer service when they're busy and overwhelmed, but tonight when I went at 5:30 to check on the status of a refill which was supposed to be ready at 4:00, which I really needed, I was rudely dismissed and told by the employee that "It won't be ready until tomorrow. There's nothing I can do." She then called on the person behind me. I had to leave with no refill and get to deal with annoying side effects tomorrow from missing a dose. I'd hate to think about what would have happened if this had been an essential medication instead of just my regular anxiety meds. They're obviously far too short-staffed and too busy to provide a decent level of customer service at this location. I'm sure it's a combination of poor management, terrible employee retention, and stress, but it was totally uncalled for, and I wasn't the only person experiencing it tonight. I had a 5:20 shingles vaccination appt scheduled on 11/9 and was sent daily text message reminders of said appt. I showed up 10 minutes early for my scheduled 5:20 vaccination. There is no signage or instruction on where to check in, so i got in line with those waiting to pick up Prescriptions. I wait and wait and when it's my turn I'm told i need to check in at a different window with nobody there. There are 6 employees behind the counter of the pharmacy. No communication. I went to the next window and waited for one of the 6 staffers to check me in...it's now 5:21. I wait. 5:30, 5:40. I went back up to the counter to remind them I'm here for my 5:20 vaccination. There are more employees behind the glass then people waiting to be helped. At 5:45 they called the name of the person who had a 5:40 vaccination appt. I left without my vaccination. read more

If I could give the pharmacy less then 10 stars I would. I am beside myself with frustration AND out of medication. I refilled online Friday, it told me I could pick up Saturday by 1pm, I show up to pick up at 4:30, it's not ready. They say we're behind pick up tomorrow. Text comes in RX ready one hour later. So i go back. Go inside, wait at the counter where NO ONE acknowledges me for 10 min...So frustrated I walk away, planning to return in the AM. In the meantime I never want to go here again so I plan to to get on Amazon RX Delivery to avoid the BS you get at Rite Aid. I go AGAIN in the AM (4th time in less then 24 hours) because I STILL need pills and they TELL ME "we don't have a RX for you. " Are you kidding me....!!! "You transferred it out to amazon. " HOW ABOUT CALLING and saying do you still want this one??!! Because yeah I need it! So now I have nothing until the Amazon thing works itself out. If you have an option to go elsewhere DO IT. It's amazing that every time I go to get a prescription it's always 15 min. The first time I watched my doctor send over the RX in front of me. It's a 20 minute drive to get there, and when I arrived they said they just got it and it would be 15 min. The next time, I went in the day after thinking I would not have to wait, but I was told 15 min. This morning I called ahead and was told it would be an 1 1/2 hours. I went in 3 1/2 hours later and was told it would be 15 min. They clearly will not fill your RX unless you're in front of them waiting for 15 minutes. If it were only 1 time I would understand, but I've been lied to by staff on 2 occasions now and that's not okay. Do not go here if you're in a hurry! read more

Every single time I come, the pharmacy staff has the poorest attitudes and seem like they hate their jobs and it's an inconvenience to fill your perscriptions. Terrible experiences consistently with this pharmacy; I've given them so many chances and have had it. The tellers for the store are great but the folks in the pharmacy are terrible at customer service. I've been rudely told to come back for prescriptions the next morning when I came in 5 minutes BEFORE their closing hours. I've also had multiple encounters with passive aggressive staff who tell me to "calm down" when I call to politely inquire if a prescription is ready and/or who are extremely rude and abrasive. As a store, I suppose this place is all fine and good. Has its occasional sketchy moment, but that's only because of its proximity to the garbage dump that is the Westwood/Roxhill Park "transit-center." I've had several prescriptions filled here and it takes forever. As in completely unacceptable. I gave this place one more chance this morning and had my physician call in a prescription in the morning. I went by at 4:30pm, and the thing wasn't even on the radar. "Can you come back in an hour?" The wait at the Pharmacy is ridiculous. I would with the system they use that transmits the prescription. When the practitioner signs the electronic prescription it goes automatically to the designated Pharmacy. Every time I come to get my prescription I give them ample time to fill it and every time they try to tell me they just received it, which is bull sh*t. I watch my practitioner sign it. Stop putting the blame on the practitioner, you know you didn't check the printer when it came in just ignored it. Also follow up, you have been using the wrong insurance for me for two years now and only decided to look it it when I made a big deal about it. There are other pharmacies in the area, I would suggest going to them. Unless you like to waste your time and money. read more

The pharmacy here is the worst, the absolute worst. Rarely do I have a positive experience, one where it takes me less than 15 minutes to pick up my prescription. Everywhere else I've lived & traveled in my life, it's never taken more than 15 minutes to get my prescription & walk out the door. No matter what you do here - call ahead to refill (via person or automated phone system), go in the store, go through the drive-thru - they are always screwing something up. Recently, I called in a prescription after hours & used the automated phone system to schedule my refill. Everything went through & I was told my prescription would be ready for pickup at 11:30 AM the following day. After work the next day (so this was 6 PM - 6.5 hours after my Rx should've been ready), I arrived to pick it up. I walked in the store, because every experience I've had with the drive thru involves me sitting at the window for 20+ minutes. I give them my name, birth date etc... well, my Rx is nowhere to be found. It wasn't filled. When I told them about how I called it in via telephone the previous evening, the woman at the counter said "Oh, that's why. Our automated system never anticipates how busy we are." ...so, you had an EXTRA 6.5 hours to fill my prescription, and it's still too much? Also, why did I not receive a call saying my prescription wouldn't be ready in time? And why did I not receive - at the very least - an 'I"m sorry for this inconvenience" type of apology? I'm pissed because this isn't the first time this has happened to me... this is probably the 4th or 5th time. They are always unprepared. It's not like they are understaffed. There are at least 6 people in that department every time I'm in that store. It's a straight up case of incompetence and poor customer service. TL;DR? I'm taking my business to the Walgreens on Roxbury & 15th, & I suggest doing the same if you want a more competent pharmacy staff. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I'm done. read more

Looks like I'm not the only one who's noticed. The pharmacy here has been outrageously slow. I feel bad because the pharmacist and techs that I talk to are always nice. I use to work for another pharmacy so I know how things get. But for the last 4-5 months it seems like rolling up via drive through is no quick stop. At least a 35 min wait and that's being generous with only one car in front of you. At one point I sat there for over an hour. Now I know what you're thinking: "walk inside dummy!" Well I'll have you know I did that a few times and shoot. It wasn't that much faster. It almost seems like this place is neglected as they went several months with a broken glass for a window. Now that's finally fixed, it's almost weird that I can see their faces. read more

The service in the pharmacy is top-notch. I'm a mail order kind of gal because I abhor standing in line at a pharmacy to pick up a medicine I've pre-ordered only to tell them that, for some reason, it's going to take them an additional 30 minutes to count my 10 pills. That stuff doesn't happen here. Your medicine is ready when it's promised and if it's a new prescription, it doesn't take long for them to fill it. I really like the ladies and gentlemen that work at the counter. On one visit, I walked away from a medicine that I couldn't afford and on my next visit, the guy somehow remembered me and showed me a cheaper OTC version, just in case I still needed it. I do like the Jordan Almonds they sell in the candy aisle. Yes, I'm 27 and I eat Jordan Almonds. The service in the front is hit and miss, so I buy from the pharmacy when I come here. All in all, this is a handy little place to have locally. Ideally, I'd shop at Bartell, to support the local businesses, but I'm afraid of getting shot in the parking lot. read more

The pharmacy is horrible. They always try to give me a different brand of my medication. I have asked countless time that they stick with one brand. They assure me every time that it is noted in my information, but still I get a different brand and have to wait for them to fix it. One time they didn't even have it and I had to drive across town to get it elsewhere. I call in my prescriptions refills at least 24 hours ahead of time but still have to wait 30 minutes when I go in (even when I'm told it will be ready several hours before I arrive) Today is the last prescription I pick up from here. read more
