This was the only place locally to grab a beer after 10pm when the supermarkets were on strike a couple years ago. This is the only reason I went there. I haven't been back, nor do I plan on going there. On at least 2 different times when they carded me they asked to see another form of ID besides my driver's license. WTF? Hmmm, I don't carry around my passport, birth certificate, and a videotaped statement from the doctor who delivered me of my birth date. I showed them my school ID, and my credit card with a photo on the back. Luckily, it was enough to convince them. Please do NOT use this Rite Aid Pharmacy!!! The pharmacist does not fill prescriptions correctly, and then argue with you if you tell them they are wrong. I am a type 1 diabetic and have been taking my insulin forever so I know what my prescription calls for. This lady, Dot or Dat...what ever her name is said I should only get 1 insulin pen I told her she was wrong and she argued with me put my on hold over and over again. I confirmed with my Dr. and with a different pharmacy and my script calls for 3 pens for a month. I will be filing a formal complaint because I now will go without my insulin for a couple weeks because she billed my Insurance incorrectly so they will not fill the rest of the script. She should be fired and made to give me a formal apology not that, that will make up for me not having my insulin for a couple weeks!! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH!! read more

The pharmacy technician was very rude and aggressive when I had walked in to ask for my medication. It was the Iranian woman with light green eyes, I know she's Iranian because when I walked in , not only did she not greet me, she stood me up and greeted another Iranian woman and spoke to her in Farsi. By the time I went up I had asked for my medication and she was in such a bad mood she looked at me as if I had caused her disruptions to her day. I asked her nicely if she could fax my doctor on Monday to refill my prescription (I have ulcerative colitis) she looked at me and said "YOU NEED TO CALL YOUR DOCTOR, NOT US. THAT IS YOUR JOB". I don't care if you're in sales, a technician or a busboy. The lack of respect and the amount of attitude made me never want to walk into that pharmacy again. I will be changing my pharmacy location simply because this light eyed Iranian woman cannot greet and treat a customer with respect. She treated the old lady with respect , but since I am a 30 year old man I get the bad end of the stick? Sounds pretty sexist to me. read more

I stand by everything I said before and really this place deserves the four-five stars it should be getting but their lines (especially the one at the pharmacy) is painfully long. But when i came back a month later to get required booster, the attendant didn't find my record in the system from the previous vaccine I'd had just a few weeks earlier. TERRIBLE customer service. In the few times I have ventured in here, there were terrible lines at the cash out center where the employees are chit chatting about their personal stuff while the lines get longer and longer. The shift managers even argue openly in front of customers, kind of awkward to just stand there and watch. This has happened EVERY time I've stepped foot in this place. The crowd that frequents here is also pretty terrible, maybe on par with the crowds that go to Walmart religiously. There was one women that had about a 4 inch stack of coupons and was sifting through each one at the checkout for EACH of her items. Man I really wanted to knock her on the back of the head. There was one employee that wouldn't open another register and that crazy lady held back the line so much that people were lining up in the aisles. Everyone was pissed and in a terrible mood. If you are trying to buy something here, go elsewhere to like Target where you can get quicker service and overall a better atmosphere and set of employees. I cannot STRESS how bad this Rite Aid is when it comes to their employees, just horrible. The Rite Aid back at home in Pasadena is WAY better and actually friendly to their customers. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been too! I have been picking up my medications from different pharmacies for 5+ years and I have never felt the need to record my encounters at a pharmacy until this one. Your medicine one is NEVER EVER ready when you come no matter what!!!! They are beyond rude to elderly and sick who don't understand, it's despicable they're lack of patience with the elderly. This is a pharmacy, not a public park, (apparently rite has got that confused) these people are trying to tend to they're medical needs and don't need your attitude when they try to use a coupon to make ends meet or need you to repeat what you said because they can't hear. Your treatment to the sick and elderly isnt legally criminal but but as a human with a heart in the health care industry you should take it upon yourself to do the right thing! Ok, so I had to stop in Rite Aid to get some cash for some donuts at Mag's Donuts (nearby). I usually do not go to Rite Aid because it's ghetto and the service is so undesirable. I picked up a package of Trident gum and a small bag of Doritos and waited in line for about 8 minutes. I used my debit card to retrieve some donut money. The surly - Shift Supervisor unkindly tells me there is no cash because a patron from the register next to her requested $20 cash back. So, cynical me is thinking "what the heck does that have to do with YOUR register?" She does not even apologize... WTH!!!??? But, I put my inner demon back to sleep and my sense of humanity kicks-in and I walk out with the goods that I really did not need. Ugh!!! this store is open 24/7. the pharmacy is open until 8pm?? i believe... don't quote me on it. i love the the ice cream parlor. 1.29 per scoop. :) they have a lot of sales and deals going on. they also have alot of +UP rewards. which works by giving you rite aid cash on your receipt. the next time you buy something, you can use your saved receipt and take X amount of +UP rewards off. the workers are super nice. the security guard works from 10pm to 6am. which is weird, cuz this is Irvine not east LA. why does it need security? the most expensive thing in rite aid is probably a bottle of grey goose. wtf. they carry a lot of items and usually have cheap candy :D read more

I really wanted to give this place more stars but I just can't. Their Thrifty's ice cream section deserves 5-stars. It tastes amazing. Just like the good old days. It's not a quarter anymore but $1.70, but it's a GOOD $1.70. The reason it's a 3 stars is their service. I was here with my 4 year old daughter. We will waiting in line for checkout. An old guy just came out of no where and cut us off. The guy at the register noticed the old man cut us off but said nothing. The guy was old and so I let it slide. But then another woman came and began wondering where to stand in line. Before I had a chance to speak, the manager waved her down and opened a new register JUST for that woman to check out. To open a new register just to help another customer and IGNORE me and my daughter is plain RUDE. We only had ONE item to check out. That's it. ONE item and to be ignored like that is just unforgivable. Hence the 3 stars for this location. Until they have a better system for a LINE, I will not buy anything else at this store except their Thrifty's ice cream. read more

Now this place isn't the best place to go grocery shopping but this place is pretty stocked on alc and usually has really good prices on beer so party on UCI/drunk friends! Snacks are okay.. don't really see many good deals here but at least they have them if you need them. Rite Aid is conveniently located next to some popular places you might happen to go to like Carls, Class 302, Subway, Wholesome, etc so it's not bad swinging by here at the end of the trip to get... ice cream ^__^.. or alc to go party afterwards. The one manager that's always there for some reason is super chill and loves to joke around with customers. You don't find guys like him very often so it's pretty cool. As far as Rite Aids go, I've been to a fair share in my life. I'm taking the time to review this particular location because I find it pretty exceptional. The service here is great, and all of the employees are friendly (even the ones that work the early morning hours!). The Thrify's Ice Cream section is a frequently visited spot for me, and they seriously load you up there. The pharmacy is great too - I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for pick-up and the assistants are helpful as always. The #1 thing for me here is accessibility, and this Rite Aid stands out because it's 24 hours and rarely busy. During the holidays last year I would be subjected to nasty closing shifts at my job (retail, A.K.A. getting out at 2am+) and this place would be my safe haven. There used to be a pharmacy employee that recognized me as a regular, nicknaming me "Smiley." He was super nice and genuinely cheered me up after my depressing stunts at work. He doesn't work there anymore as far as I know, but there are several employees that are just as nice and helpful. This is the only Rite Aid I go to now because it's just plain awesome. :-) read more

Even though there is a Rite Aid right across the street from where I live I keep finding myself going to this one instead. I go here for the most random things too; mostly make-up. They have a good make-up selection here but Ulta has a bigger selection and is cheaper, so why do I go here? To prevent myself from walking into Ulta and spending over $100 on random cosmetics, that's why. I also love Rite Aid Ice Cream! I mean who doesn't! This location beats the other one on Culver/Alton because it is open 24 hours and has Thrifty's ice cream! Sure, it's smaller, yet therefore easier to find what you need and get out quickly. Anything you're missing from here, you can walk over to Wholesome Choice for groceries or Ace for hardware, so no gripes. read more
