I did not have time to drive to my usual place in Los Angeles called D& J photo to have my film developed. I don't know why I thought to come here. Their "one" hour photo that they advertise in the store no longer exists. (They should change their signage since legally it is false advertising and deceptive.) It took them 6 Days to develop my film. I took in 9 rolls and they only gave me 4, meaning they lost 5 which was more than half of what I brought in. The service manager kept arguing me saying I couldn't have dropped off that many rolls, when I showed him the proof (thank goodness I kept it) his response was "dont worry, we won't charge you for the ones you didn't receive". Why should I have to pay for rolls of film you lost in the first place, where is my compensation for the cost of the rolls? $6.99 each (not including taxes) x 5 rolls, how I see it I should have been compensated $35.00 , the fact you even try to charge me for rolls you lost and didn't develop is atrocious let alone you didn't even offer to compensate the rolls you didn't lose as atonement for your mishap. Had they done this I wouldn't have bothered with reporting them to the BBB or made this yelp review. read more

They are being remodeled and the floor is torn up... seriously all the dust, airborne and asbestos is in the air which chokes you at the front door. A health hazard. They should seriously close down during the remodel or do it in sections because it's just not a welcoming experience when you walk into a drugstore. The lady at the front didn't even notice that there was dust in the air. read more

I like this Rite Aid location, it is always bustling with people and a variety of so many items, unlike CVS. I get my prescriptions filled here because the pharmacy is excellent. They have a really good greeting card section and it is just fun to walk around. I must admit that part of their charm is the ice cream counter, so glad they have not done away with it. I was VERY disappointed last week to bring friends in after dinner only to find out that they close the ice cream counter Thursday nights for cleaning. I was very unhappy to find out this so called 24hr rite aide's pharmacy is closed. They closed at 7pm along with all their other locations in the area. I will be moving all my families prescriptions to CVS as they have a true 24hr pharmacy. Just sucks to find this out when your child is out of their medication and you need their service. I usually always go to rite aid but every time I come here there are at least 8 people waiting and it takes at least 30 minutes just to pick up a prescription even though it's already filled. Also, forget about going through the drive through. If it's busy at all you will wait for at least 20 minutes to get someone to even say hi. read more

Went in to get cold medicine today at 1:30am, and from the second I walked into the store the security guard started following me around.. Not trying to hide the fact that she was doing it. I got to the cold section and she stood there watching me as my boyfriend and I looked through the selections to find something suitable. Needless to say I didn't purchase anything I put what I had picked up back on the shelf and walked out. She followed me out of the store and watched me get into my car. I felt extremely uncomfortable the entire time, I understand it's her job but take it easy. No need to follow a guest out of the store especially when you saw me return all merchandise to its place. read more

The Thrifty Ice cream were out of both normal cups and cones and gave us our ice cream in a red solo cup. The person dealing with us, a man named Minh, was perfectly kind and nice to the family in front of us but was defiantly incredibly rude to us- the only differences being our races. I'm not the type to call someone racist but he was defiantly rude to us and not to them. read more

I've been coughing for a week solid, so I called ahead to check and see if the cough syrup I was prescribed was in stock. The rude pharmacy tech wouldn't even tell me if they had it or if I dropped it off today I could get in when it came in. She just kept saying "I can't give you any information" I then called cvs and they were polite and helpful, they looked up the cough syrup and said she had it in stock, no problems. Rite aid treated me like some kind of drug addict it's codeine cough syrup not OxyContin!!! So rude going to cvs from now on. Oh, and it's always transient central, day and night in front of the store ppl smoking bumming change, and a dumb security guard who just stands at the entrance doing nothing! I would give them zero stars but the software doesn't allow. When in the late evening to pick up some litter for my cat. The price clearly stated $5.99 with no other prices around. As I come up to the cash register the gentleman asked me for my royalty card. I live in the state of California royalty cards are missed understood I shouldn't have to add my phone number to get the price that advertising on the shelf. The gentleman as I asked for the house number to get the discount still try to charge me 11 +dollars. My question To Rite Aid is how many times do your customers come in and you still from them? By not giving them the discount that they deserve. The manager was a folio part the scam. Almost felt like I did with Wells Fargo.it wanted to charge me five dollars more. I will never shop there again. I've been living here 20 years and I've never experienced before. The manager does this 100 times a day extra thousand dollars a day. Great business plan but I'll be the first one to sign up on the class action lawsuit. Why did the manager didn't care that I'm not saving what was the statement oh you should check the video. I just work here I don't run the business. But he could've nice and says let me use the house number that every store has. You don't care about my money I don't care about your money.. Worst drive thru pharmacy, felt like I was at DMV. Rang bell several times while watching a pharmacy employee inside mulling around who never acknowledged my presence. I thought the bell might be broken. This went on for several minutes, then a second employee walked in view. Now I'm ringing the bell nonstop and finally one of them looks at me like I'm interrupting and comes to the mic to help me. Could barely understand them thru mic, had to ask repeatedly to speak up. No sense of customer service or understanding that any of us can choose to do business elsewhere. Terrible attitude on the part of their staff and no sense of customer service. Postscript: after driving off I found they didn't provide me with the measuring dispenser for the pediatric oral antibiotic I picked up. Unreal. read more

I can't believe the stories about this Rite Aid. James, the main pharmacist is absolutely the sharpest pharmacist I have ever seen. He has helped me set up a schedule for taking my medications when it got too complicated for me to figure out. He took the time to write it down and be sure I understood. There are also people all the time that will locate things you need and other pharmacists who actually go out and compare the items with me on the shelf to be sure I make the best choice. This is the only drugstore that I go to because they have been so great! read more

I like to call this pharmacy "wrong aid". I have had a credit card on file here for two years now and they constantly tell me I don't and I tell them to look harder and what do ya know?! This is where I get my prescriptions filled. The pharmacy staff is very kind, and knows me by name even though I go in maybe twice a month! They are very patient and move quickly. However, I once got the wrong amount of pills here and didn't realize until it was too late. They corrected their mistake, but it messed up my med count a little. It seems like every time I get prescriptions, my insurance messes with me again and again, but that's not Rite Aids fault. I prefer this store over CVS and the Rite Aid on Harbor Blvd. it is so much cleaner and more welcoming, and has a nicer seating area if you wanna wait for your meds. There's always things on sale, and you can spend a lot of time wandering the aisles while you wait for prescriptions. My wait time is usually 20 minutes. They also have ice cream. I've never tried it personally. Not all the staff members are friendly but the majority of them are. Also, the pharmacy is open 24/7! read more

If I could give them a -1000 I would, but in order to respond I had to give them a 1 star! they are the worst pharmacy I have ever ever ever known!!! They have no idea what a coupon is, they said I had to pay what the coupon said WHICH was $1.00 more than the prescription they would not deduct it from the amount of the prescription. IDIOTS JUST IDIOTS. PLEASE PLEASE NEVER GO THERE!!!! THEY ARE NOT HELPFUL!!! ALSO, they said since I had insurance to cover prescription I could not use the coupon!!!! WHAT!!!!!!!!! SINCE WHEN??? Ok so you don't know me but I'm usually really nice and I don't really ever review places I don't like, I'd rather praise a business then tear one down, typically I just Ignore places I don't like...but I've given this place dozens of chances to change my low opinion of them but I'm over it. So let's start with the store itself, the outside is dirty and grimy and the parking lot always seems to have sketch people sitting around...but wtv that's forgivable, I've learned that's kind of the price you pay with 24hour pharmacies...anyways the inside is ok, the real issue here is the staff...now I don't set the bar too high when it comes to rite aid staff people especially considering the fact I usually go when I'm off work anytime after 10pm. But even for a graveyard shift rite aid bunch these people take bad to the next level, they remind me of characters in a rob zombie movie, I'm not talking looks here but behavior, attitude, general decency...they are all rude, most of them loud and obnoxious, have no inclination whatsoever to be helpful. I've seen them scream (like really scream) angrily at each other across the room, one guy shouts and laughs periodically amidst commenting on people's items as he rings them up: (rings up tampons) "OOH someone's got the pms'eses! HaahahOOO" - rite aid worker. Then there's the older woman who refuses to wear a bra and decides to wear her shirt completely unbuttoned who acts like she's burdened by any task or question you ask, not to mention can't work a scanner but will bark at you if you try to offer advice...the list goes on. I go here cus it's open late and walking distance from my house so regardless of the people I'm likely to keep shopping here out of convience. The pharmacy staff is always very friendly and willing to help. However, I recently tried to pick up a new medication my physician's office called into the pharmacy. As the pharmacist tried to give me a consult for the "new" medication she said it was the "generic" version of the medicine. I asked why the medication was switched from what the MD ordered. She said it was their store policy to automatically switch medications to generic versions because "insurance companies wouldn't pay for the branded drug". I politely asked her to check in this case. She went back to her computer and within 3 minutes informed me that my insurance would not only cover the branded drug but the co-pay was exactly the same as the generic! I would appreciate the pharmacy letting my doctor dictate my care! My MD ordered this drug for a very specific reason. She was disappointed to hear that the pharmacist took it upon herself to change the drug for my care. I was told by a pharmacist friend that big pharmacy chains often switch drugs. These pharmacists are pushed to have high generic utilization so that the large pharmacies can make more money from their pharmacies. Many times the "branded" and generic drugs are priced the same. Unfortunately, based on this incident I feel more comfortable taking my business to another pharmacy. read more

Very disappointed in the pharmacist at this location. My wife was in a lot of pain, and I was working with our Doctor to get her a prescription called into the pharmacy before they closed at midnight. I got there a quarter to midnight, and he rudely told me he had not received any calls from doctors. So I got on the phone with the doctor's office to see if they had called it in... They said that I had. When he said that he hadn't received anything, i notified our Doctor and while I was on the phone with the Doctor's office I was standing right there at the pharmacy counter. He knew I was dealing with getting this prescription for my wife and that it was important for my wife to get tonight. At 11:55, while I was still on the phone, he told me that they were closed. I looked at the clock on my phone and said that we have five more minutes until they closed... He said he would give me another three minutes. Just like he said, at 11:58pm he told me that he was closing and that I would have to go to another pharmacy, and then he reached up and closed the counter and that was it. Very rude and unprofessional... Have a bit of compassion... Especially when your job is to be there until 12am, not cheat your employer out of a few minutes of work each day. If you cut time off of your hours that I'm sure he got paid for, what else is he cutting corners on? I will not ever return to this pharmacy after this issue. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. I had my prescriptions at this store for about 2 years. There was not a time where I would have to call them in at least 5 days in advance because they never had my meds in stock and had to order them. I would even call before I went over there to make sure all of them were ready. Usually, they were not (after callings days in advance of when I needed them). One of my prescriptions was a "no co-pay". Every month they tried to charge me the co-pay even though it was in their computer. Of course this took extra time to correct. I can understand it it happened once or maybe twice. But, almost every month?? When my doctor would call in a prescription, I would have to call several hours later just to see if it was ready. Most times it was not ready until the next day. Be careful..they will change the manufacturer of the drug without your knowledge. On top of that, the customer service was horrible.
