The online menu does not do justice to the options in food available in the cafe. Located in the strip mall near airport, the cafe still provides all food in disposable containers following covid norms. At noon the crowd was pretty decent even on a rainy day like today. Their vegetarian options are limited but certain items can be customized without meat. I got the oatmeal strawberry smoothie- yeah- I thought it sounded interesting and new, an item I can include in my breakfast going forward. It was light and smooth with flavor of strawberry, not very overpowering sugar - it was refreshing and yummy. We also got the Hummus sandwich with the cheese and broccoli soup, it was very fresh , again light and healthy ... it was good too. There is no table service, you need to order at the station ad get it to your table. They are very courteous and friendly though, and take time to understand if you have any dietary restrictions. Prices are normal.

Chicken Portobello Panini Sandwich

My sandwich was awful. Had to ask for more sauce just to eat it. Super dry chicken. Only one mushroom which I don't even think it's a portabella. Too much cheese and absolutely no pesto. Really disappointed.

I rarely write a negative review, but I wouldn't recommend a salad here. They are incredibly basic and won't customize them. 1/2 an egg and 1/4 a tomato. Really? You're better off going next door to jimmy johns to get an unwich. If you come here, maybe try a wrap or sandwich.

$9.73 (after tax) Pesto Portobello chicken sandwich

The Chicken Pesto Portabello hot sandwich on multi-grain bread with a small cup of tomato basil soup and a cup of water will run you exactly $9.73 after tax. It looks good at first with all that cheese filling oozing out while sitting next to a cup of piping hot tomato basil soup. After the first bite though, you'll realize you should have ordered a different sandwich. The cheese in the sandwich was very over powering and was pretty much all you could taste. I love cheese too, but this was too much. The soup was also disappointing as it was too salty. I usually finish my all food but I couldn't finish the soup. The party that I came with were not as satisfied either saying "I'm still hungry" and "that was pretty expensive for a small sandwich". I give it three stars though because I'm sure there are other sandwiches on the menu that may be good. I just ordered one I didn't like. For the price, we probably won't ever come back There seemed to be a lot of other customers there though, so there is something we don't know or they all have deep pockets and an acquired taste. With all that said though, everyone in my group was unsatisfied with our $10 sandwich meal.

I want to start off by saying it smells absolutely yummy when you walk in the door. Fresh breads & cookie dough 1st thing in the morning? How could that be a bad thing! It's very clean & the staff is really nice. I'd come here a few random times in the past. My most recent visit reminded me why I don't visit often. Unfortunately, the food isn't that tasty. My recent visit was for breakfast & I ordered the spicy grande burrito. Eggs, jalapenos, cheese, a rotel style tomato mix & sausage all wrapped in a flour tortilla. The eggs were nasty; reminded me of the eggs they used to serve for breakfast at school. As far as sausage...it's like that old commercial "where's the beef?!?!" And the few lil crumbs that were there had no taste. I ended up throwing it out halfway through. Look, I know it's not the same as making food at home & this isn't a taco truck but come on now. I'm sure it's convienent for those in the office buildings in the area, but don't think I'll be coming back any time soon.

food was alright very bland as is but not only that ladies were very rude they rushed me to order and then there hair ended up in my food the food is not worth the price

(say it fast) Their eyes sing 'roll'! OK, slow down now. My eyes rolled when I thought this would be a fast-food joint, but it's not. Yes, there are some pre-prepared cold items for those on the go. But for sit-downers, they prepare breakfast and lunch items, and with good fresh ingredient quality. Best of all: you can order online for pickup, or for delivery. They opened this chain location this week, and the six customers I talked to either love it or at least say it's OK and a refreshing change from other delis in the same strip center. So, no more "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (referring to the previous establishment's name), but I'll use some quotes from the movie to preface sections of my review with relevant meaning. [- - - - Menu - - - -] Holly Golightly: "A girl can't read that sort of thing without her lipstick." - - - It takes some time to read the menu. There is a large variety of sandwiches, wraps, paninis, but... Holly Golightly: "Do you think she's talented, deeply and importantly talented?" Paul Varjak: "No. Amusingly and superficially talented, yes. But deeply and importantly, no. " - - - there are some basic ingredients, a variety of freshly-baked bread envelopes, and names given to the plethora of combinations. Nevertheless, the choices are generally appealing and some have unique ingredients here and there. Then, there are the usual salads, and soups. The bakery is focused on the sandwich breads, but they also make some cookies, cinnamon rolls, muffins and bagels. [- - - - Service - - - -] Holly Golightly: "It should take you exactly four seconds to cross from here to that door. I'll give you two." - - - There is no table service; it's order and pick-up at the counter. But, they do their job fast. The owner is quite active explaining things, making sure the staff is responsive, asking customers for feedback, and making sure they are satisfied with their order. [- - - - My Breakfast order - - - -] Holly Golightly: "You could always tell what kind of a person a man thinks you are by the earrings he gives you." - - - The quality of the breads is a key factor, and for me, it's the cinnamon roll. This was a good cinnamon roll. I got this one off the rack, fresh, and still warm, with lots of cinnamon and not too sugary. The bread part was soft throughout, denser than usual bread in consistency, and not baked-hard on the edges. It's big enough to split and share. Spicy Breakfast Panini: This was excellent. They use Tandoori naan bread, and that is a perfect balance of carb to protein (taste-wise). - - - They offer three varieties of Duncan brand coffee. I tried the Toasted Cinnamon coffee and it was much better than I expected, and excellent for this type of eatery. The best is the Pecan flavored coffee, though. It gets cheers from all my deep-rooted Texas genes. [- - - - My Lunch order (another day) - - - -] Holly Golightly: "You mustn't give your heart to a wild thing. The more you do, the stronger they get, until they're strong enough to run into the woods or fly into a tree." - - - I ordered the combo ("pick a pair") of half sandwich and mini-salad (passing up the sour option). Cuban Sandwich was ordinary, and not what I would call authentic or as good as El Rey's. The Cobb mini-salad was good and fresh. [- - - - Facilities - - - -] Paul Varjak: [reaches into his pocket at the Tiffany's counter] "We could have something engraved, couldn't we?" Tiffany's salesman: "Yes, I suppose so, yes indeed... the only problem is you would more or less have to buy something first if only in order to have some object upon which to place the engraving... You see the difficulty... " - - - I am glad they had the money, and didn't just redecorate. This is a total make-over remodel, in a contemporary style with all-new everything. There are plenty of tables. Paul Varjak: "You know what's wrong with you, Miss Whoever-you-are? You're chicken, you've got no guts. You're afraid to stick out your chin and say, "Okay, life's a fact, people do fall in love, people do belong to each other, because that's the only chance anybody's got for real happiness." You call yourself a free spirit, a "wild thing," and you're terrified somebody's gonna stick you in a cage. Well baby, you're already in that cage. You built it yourself." - - - There is a 2nd-rib-high wall separating those in a line to the counter from customers at tables. At lunch, that was needed, as it was pretty crowded. [- - - - Worth it? - - - -] Paul Varjak: "So you're getting married, then?" Holly Golightly: "Well, he hasn't really asked me, not in so many words. " Paul Varjak: "Four you mean?" - - - Yes, I will be back. The prices are competitive with the other deli places.

Lots of seating, great wait staff, and the sandwiches are gigantic--as they should be for the price. $30 for a sandwich on average. We split an open face pastrami (which they brought an extra plate) and we are glad we did. The potato salad is tiny. Too much sandwich for one but not enough potato salad for two! The pickles they provide before your sandwich arrives are yummy- not like a traditional out of the bar pickle. These are what I remember from NYC. Garlic and not sweet. We also had the apple pie alamode. Also pricey and gigantic. It was warm and delicious. Glad we tried this icon. We went at lunch and they get quite the crowd. You are not rushed at all. The parking was a bit of a challenge, but it was easy enough because it was a calm Tuesday morning. To get from the parking area to the store, you just take the elevator one level down, and then you're right inside. This place is surprisingly big, filled with all kinds of snacks, cookies, and coffee. The highlight for me was their shawarma breakfast wrap. It was top-notch and exactly what I needed. You choose between whole wheat or white pita, and it's filled with scrambled eggs, your choice of fresh or sautéed spinach, and they add potatoes as well. Then they top it with shawarma chicken, tomato, and a delicious sauce. For $8.5 it was worth every bite. Hands down, a five out of five. I also tried their coffee, which was just a standard brew sitting in ice for hours and nothing special. At $2.50, it was fine, but nothing to write home about. The real stars were the cookies. I got a coconut pecan cookie and an almond crunch cookie, and both were absolutely delicious. I didn't have time to explore the whole store, but there was a great selection of fresh produce, chocolates, and all sorts of small treats. Overall, the staff were really friendly, and the entire visit was smooth. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area. Five out of five stars!

As for the brisket sandwich, I thought it was good in terms of the meat, however, I must say it reminded me of sloppy joes too much. If I had to choose, I prefer getting the brisket sliced over chopped. As for the coleslaw, it was fresh and not too overwhelming with the mayo, which I love. The ratio of cabbages and carrots were evenly distributed. Lastly, the pecan pie was not too sweet and really soft yet crunchy. Overall, I would love to come here again, it was honestly one of the best!

My selection was a 5" Deluxe Po Boy which has Ham, Salami, Mozzarella lettuce tomatoes and Mandola's Italian spread. Simple sandwich, but oh so perfect. The bread was perfectly toasted, the cold cuts sliced just right and tasty and the italian spread was the perfect condiment. I'm not normally a cold deli sandwich person, but would order this sandwich over and over again. Since I was solo dining, but wanted to try more than just the sandwich on my first visit I opted for a side of spaghetti and the italian sausage. Dumped the italian sausage on my spaghetti and it was like a small side entree. The sausage was the highlight, but the spaghetti was well cooked and the traditional marinara was flavorful. While I expected the restaurant to be a little more bustling at lunch time, it was a very comfortable experience in the bright open dining area with a great deal of Houston Sports Memorabilia on the walls. The chicken seems to be marinated to the chicken as it Marinara stuck really well and didn't create too much of a mess. The bread and the chicken were soft and easy to the bite which is an advantage this sandwich has over most. But the flavor was only slightly above average. And the garlic Parmesan bread didn't really make an impact I assume they thought it was (didn't taste it at all). I had originally wanted to come because I saw that they sold steaks for purchase you can bring home to cook. However, since it was lunchtime and we were already hungry, we decided to grab some lunch as well. We got the 3 meat combo with chicken, brisket, and ribs. It came with two sides and we chose coleslaw and chicken salad. I thought it was nice they had extra protein choices as sides. They also had a tuna salad and egg salad in addition to pasta salad, beans, potato salad and other options. The food came out quickly and the meats were all very tender. However, they just tasted salty. I had a hard time tasting any other spices/flavors which is what I'm accustomed to at other bbq places. The chicken salad was salty as well. It would've been tastier in a sandwich with some crisp greens versus just by itself. Coleslaw was average. Edible but nothing special. Husband thought it was too sweet. I do have to say the service was very friendly. The worker behind the counter gave us the impression that he really wanted to help and make us comfortable. When I found out they only sold bottled water, he offered to go to the back and grabbed us two cups of tap water, which was a nice gesture because he didn't have to. We ended up not getting any other meats because the unpackaged steaks looked dried out and sad in fridge. I wasn't sure if those were the pieces they would sell you or if they were just for display. But for $34.99/lb, I didn't want to risk them giving me the dried out looking steak. Overall, it seemed like people really like this place . The person in front of my husband said this place has the best burgers! And lots of people kept coming in and out. However, for us, this isn't our favorite.
