When I'm in Salisbury for cases, I will come here for coffee, and the Wi-Fi . Today I decided to order a breakfast sandwich. The biscuits for the sandwich are homemade, but they didn't have any ready (it was 7:30am). I knew I would be there for a while so I asked what time will they be ready? The cashier was annoyed by my question, turned around to ask her colleague who replied, they're not ready (she was tatted with two long dreads in her ponytail) versus walking 10 steps to where the cooks were to ask one of them. I didn't appreciate that. Instead, I had the breakfast sandwich on seven grain bread (turkey, bacon, scrambled egg, and a small au lait drink. Both the sandwich and the coffee were delicious. I wish I had asked for jelly or something for the sandwich because it was dry (I don't think it was buttered either) that was my fault. An area of immediate improvement should not only include attitude adjustments during customer interactions, also WIPING OFF TABLES once customers leave would be a nice touch. I wiped down my table b/c it was dirty. I was there for at least 2.5hrs and NEVER did I see one of the women come from behind the counter to wipe down tables!! Customers were cleaning off tables themselves with napkins. I'm not in Salisbury often but I make sure to stop at Rise Up every time I'm in the area. My usual drink is the frozen matcha, but all of their drinks are great! The service is always friendly. My only complaint is the paper straw, you can start tasting it while you're drinking after about 25/30 minutes. read more

I usually stick to the one on the other side of town, but i was on my way to work this morning so i went over to Riverside. I asked what flavors they had, never mentioning that i had even been to the other location, and the Barista at the window looked at me and said "Same as the other rise up." and then pointed off somewhere to a list i really couldn't see. I was kind of taken aback by it so i just said okay and tried to think of what exactly wanted, as to not hold up the line. As i was getting my order taken, she seemed to just kind of space out and ignore me, and I just decided to let the other person in my car speak because I didn't want to be rude or sound like I had an attitude. My sandwich was... lukewarm, and the sausage and egg kind of tasted as if the surface it was cooked on hadn't been cleaned in sometime. I didn't end up going back to complain, but it was an off putting experience. I dont typically have many issues with food or staff so this was a bit disappointing for me. Typically I'd 5 star this place cuz their coffee is fire... but almost every time I go they forget the flavoring... this last time she took it back and brought me the SAME coffee she added flavor to, but the foam was plain and that's my favorite part. Annnnd she made a mess of the cup... coffee all dripping down the side. So it was a huge mess and my foam was ruined. It's happening so frequently now that I'm considering not going back. $8 for a coffee= do better! I wish I could add a photo of the cup with coffee all down the side. I came in and ordered. I spent about 40minutes waiting for my food, and got suspicious when people who ordered after me got their order before me so I asked where my order was and apparently someone took my order accidentally. My thoughts are the system used to lay out the orders doesn't work ! Anyone can prettt much walk in and take anyone's food it's chaos. I then waited an additional 10min to get my food, everything moves too slow and in total I waited almost an hr for a simple breakfast sandwich that was super salty. read more

I enjoy the coffee and the sweet employees. My only complaint is I regret seeing them take down their BLM sticker in the back building window and replace with rainbow flags and stickers. It felt good seeing them support the black community in such a positive way. It's unfortunate to see that strong support taken way and I assumed the owner is only supporting LGBTQ now but why not both? Respectfully, Police officers, LGBTQ, fire fighters, first responders and etc is a choice but black individuals can't choose to be black it's their actual life and they do not have a CHOICE or OPTION to change the color of their SKIN. read more

Hands down best independent coffee house in The 'bury! They expanded their footprint to Cambridge and Easton both places are just as busy and appear to have the same loyal following. One thing to keep in mind is that they ARE NOT Starbucks, their brews are strong and it takes a minute to make each cup. I promise that the little wait your will experience is worth the wait. My three children and I went to the Rise Up Coffee location on Riverside Dr. I was unaware of the "requirement" to wear a mask while ordering from the drive through window. I reluctantly complied with the "order" to put on my mask or I was told "I would not be served." I made my way around to the pick up window. To my surprise and disappointment I watched as another patron was served without a mask, then another!!! I was so upset. The only difference between me and the other two, unmasked patrons is that they were white, and I am black. I really thought we were past double standards. Unfortunately in some cases we're not. Not only is Rise Up's coffee strong, robust, and flavorful, but the people that work here are the cherry on top. They are so friendly and serve your coffee with a smile. You can pop inside or they have a convenient little drive thru which is the route we went. I ordered a small iced coffee with skim milk and it definitely hit the spot. Others in our car indulged in smoothies, a pumpkin spiced latte, and coffee just black. Our friends also got some of their coffee grinds to go, which was great to enjoy the next morning at home. I needed coffee & chose this place because of its high ratings on Yelp. It's a pretty good independent coffee shop with a drive-thru. The line of cars for the drive through was much longer than the line inside, so we parked & I went inside to get our drinks. Because of the long line of cars and the couple of other customers in the shop, it took a while to get the two drinks I ordered. It was Sunday morning. There were three people working there. They worked as fast as they could, but it still took awhile. The first drink in my order that was ready wasn't quite right despite the wait: the mocha was not nearly hot enough or chocolatey enough, so I had to ask them to make it again. While they did remake the drink, I would have been really disappointed if I had been in the drive-thru and drove away with a lukewarm latte that was supposed to be a mocha. It made me glad we didn't use the drive-thru. The remade drink was much better, but wasn't mixed well because all the chocolate was on the bottom. The other drink was excellent. I read about their coffee smoothies, so I had to try one. They are kind of like ice blendeds or frappucinos, but better. I highly recommend the coffee smoothies. Vegans, take note: They offer soy milk, but it's not listed on the menu, and they also sell Alternative Baking Company's vegan cookies (although not the gluten-free varieties). read more

This place has the best blended ice coffee. Their description is "like a frappacino but better." And honestly, they're right. I've had their mocha, mocha and caramel, and chai blended drinks and they were all super bomb. thats alot coming from me who doesn't even care for coffee that much, but after I sampled my friends one I couldn't help but get one for myself. Their sizes are insane too. A small is huge and more than needed, but a great deal so I definitely recommend. Add to it the hipster environment, friendly employee's and super adorbs decore (each season an artist updates their window) you can't go wrong with this place. Stumbled upon this coffee shop on a road trip seeking a caffeination fix. I was so glad we did not end up stopping at some random Starbucks, because what a find it was! This shop's hot vanilla latte is the best I've had, full of flavor and creamy. It almost tasted as if the syrup was made in house. My boyfriend got their nitro cold brew coffee on our second trip, and it was strong and flavorful, as any good nitro is. Their merch is cool, and I always want to buy something when I stop in. This is a good little coffee shop. If you want to try some good food this is for you. I ordered the buttermilk waffles and fruit and it was amazing. The fruit was fresh the whipped cream was fresh and home made. I also got a smoothie that was clearly made with fresh strawberries and i liked that they also put the whipped cream on it. Overall this place is good it wasn't too long of a wait I LOVED the decorations it made it feel homey and it was really good. I really liked how fresh everything was.
