Drove from the Heights to this place because we really enjoyed the food before when they were across the street in the smaller location. Unfortunately it's nothing like it used to be. The drink was amazing. The food feel short. Very little flavor, overall bit of a disappointment. Service was prompt when we first got there but then then server just disappeared and we had to wave someone else down to get a "Togo" box and then someone else to pay the check. Bakery is very limited.

bandejita paisa

The food was delicious and the place was packed. Just looking around at the people's faces that we're eating, told me the food was going to be delicious. Very reasonable prices. Indoor as well as outdoor seating. Our waitress was very polite and on que as well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves Colombian food. The ambiance was extremely welcoming. Plenty of parking and if you have a pet the is outdoor seating.

Best authentic Colombian food in the Houston area, Great for big groups and the staff really makes you feel at home.

Pasteles de pollo, empanadas de pollo y carne

Risaralda is a gem in the rough! My husband and I love stumbling upon a family owned mom and pop shop. We come here and get the empanadas and sometimes the pasteles de pollo if they have any. Don't try to get them on Sundays as they will sell out. The empanadas fillings are savory and juicy and the best party CRISPY and HOT! The pasteles de pollo is hefty and a meal itself. It's like a chicken pot pie that you can hold in your hand. Don't skip out on the green sauce vinaigrette. It balances out the savory pastries. They do have other pastries but we have not tried them yet. I would love to try the having a meal there but we have too many people.

***THIS LOCATION HAS MOVED!!!*** 16211 Clay Rd #128, Houston, TX 77084 We've been going to Risaralda for years, we love it. We just took a trip to Armenia, Quindio so we were craving arepa, lulo, buñuelos and huevos pericos. They didn't disappoint. Although it's not exactly the same, it's the closest to the real deal, the new location is much bigger, looks nice and the service is good. Our whole meal cost $18

Delicious baked goods that remind me of my time in Colombia. Try the buñuelos or pandebono! Try anything really.

First off, the service is top notch. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home -- exactly what you want when you're starting your day. Special thanks to Katy ! The food? Everything I've tried for breakfast has been straight-up delicious. No misses here. My favorites? The Capuccino and the Pan de Bono!! And for desert , the passion fruit mousse ! And the vibe is just so inviting -- super family-friendly, It's relaxed, comfortable, and has that warm neighborhood feel that's hard to find these days.

It fills the space in the best way possible and immediately pulls you in for the full experience. One thing that really stood out to me was the customer service. The staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming, which, unfortunately, hasn't always been my experience at other Colombian restaurants. Many places I've visited primarily speak Spanish, which can sometimes make ordering a challenge. Here, I felt completely at ease and well taken care of. We started with the beef empanadas, and I highly recommend them. The crust was perfectly crispy, while the filling was soft, flavorful, and comforting. Paired with their salsa, which had just the right kick of spice, it was an excellent combination that made for a strong start to the meal. I ordered my go-to favorite, the Bandejita. The presentation was beautiful and appetizing, but sadly, the bold flavors I'm used to just weren't quite there for me. The flat steak tasted under-seasoned, and I actually found myself adding salt, which I've never had to do before at other restaurants. The pork sausage also seemed a bit dry inside, but my husband said that's how it should be, so perhaps that was just my preference. The beans had a different flavor than what I'm accustomed to as well, not bad by any means, just noticeably different. On a positive note, the pork belly was perfectly crispy, exactly how it should be, and the plantains were sweet and cooked to perfection. Overall, the menu looks incredibly tempting, and there are still plenty of dishes I'd love to come back and try. While I may skip the Bandejita next time, I definitely plan on returning to explore more of what they have to offer.
