Bandeja Paisa the steak is so thin like paper thin
    Mia G.

So I ordered from this location on Uber eats and one thing I will say is they pay attention to order notes and substitutions as that is very very important to me. They don't have a tomatoe option on Uber eats app I left a note the subbed one of my avocado orders which I requested if necessary. The food was really good and flavor the only complain I had was the steak on the bandeja paisa was like paper thin the carne asada isn't far off but it had a little more going on. Other than that they're very generous with the avocado and tomatoes I mean you get a whole one for $4.50 an order but hey I'm not complaining . Definitely will try this place again

Our friend suggested we meet here for dinner and what a pleasant surprise to find another Colombian restaurant in our neck of the woods. It's a small, quaint restaurant with outdoor seating; the only issue I had with sitting inside was that they did not have the A/C on cool, and it was humid. I had to ask the waitress to turn on the ceiling fans to get some air circulating in the room. Their menu had a simple selection of the main Colombian plates on one side - empanadas, arrepas, bandeja paisa, carne asada, and lengua en salsa - and a slew of juices and smoothies on the other. For a drink I highly recommend their homemade lemonade - absolutely delicious! Their empanadas are fresh, hot, and crunchy - just the way I like them. If you are a fan of chorizo and order the bandeja paisa, I suggest ordering an extra chorizo because they only give you a a small portion of one. it also has a spicy kick to it too. Their aji picante "hot sauce" is absolutely the best I have ever had. The only negative I could find about my experience is that the waitress who took our order does not speak English. I spoke to her a couple of times, and she referred over to my husband for translation.

The best colombia food in Texas. Must try the empanadas, lengua en salsa or the bandeja paisa. The price is right and the service is awesome.

Empanadas, passion fruit juice in milk, and guisado de cola.

Very good, excellent. Making good Colombian food is not easy. Not anybody can do it right. I was very satisfied with the food and great service.

arepa con queso DONE right! very subtle flavors, creamy cheese and nicely done arepa

It fills the space in the best way possible and immediately pulls you in for the full experience. One thing that really stood out to me was the customer service. The staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming, which, unfortunately, hasn't always been my experience at other Colombian restaurants. Many places I've visited primarily speak Spanish, which can sometimes make ordering a challenge. Here, I felt completely at ease and well taken care of. We started with the beef empanadas, and I highly recommend them. The crust was perfectly crispy, while the filling was soft, flavorful, and comforting. Paired with their salsa, which had just the right kick of spice, it was an excellent combination that made for a strong start to the meal. I ordered my go-to favorite, the Bandejita. The presentation was beautiful and appetizing, but sadly, the bold flavors I'm used to just weren't quite there for me. The flat steak tasted under-seasoned, and I actually found myself adding salt, which I've never had to do before at other restaurants. The pork sausage also seemed a bit dry inside, but my husband said that's how it should be, so perhaps that was just my preference. The beans had a different flavor than what I'm accustomed to as well, not bad by any means, just noticeably different. On a positive note, the pork belly was perfectly crispy, exactly how it should be, and the plantains were sweet and cooked to perfection. Overall, the menu looks incredibly tempting, and there are still plenty of dishes I'd love to come back and try. While I may skip the Bandejita next time, I definitely plan on returning to explore more of what they have to offer.

Specializing in Colombian comfort food, this truck reminds me of the late night Colombian joints that were open in the northern part of Queens (#2). The truck is perma-fixed in this space. They have a whole set of tables for large groups and includes a dedicated covered area. Parking can get tricky if there are enough people visiting, but I'd recommend the next lot over where there is no night time monitoring. The menu is incredibly simple and just know that prices are not listed (#3) . The choices are basically a beef / chicken / chorizo burger, along with the occasional hot dog and a number of smoothies and drinks. I think their beef burger (patty de res) and the chorizo (patty de chorizo) are the best I've had so far. It will cost at least $15 for the sandwich and fries are not included. It sounds expensive but at the very least the burger will come loaded. It'll be a messy, delicious encounter. Pair it with their maracuyá (passion fruit) juice and it'll be a wonderful meal. The man running the truck is one of the nicest owners I've met. He's patient, courteous, and takes the time to interact with everyone who comes through. I can't attest to their English skills, but I wouldn't hesitate for a second in recommending this place for some quality late night food. _________ (#1) Yes, the address says Houston.
