Little Colombia Bakery & Restaurant has quickly become one of my favorite breakfast spots, after a good run with my favorite running club in the area (CRA) . First off, the service is top notch. This place is a gem! There's plenty of space for parking in front of the restaurant and on the side. I wasn't able to explore the baked goods that were on display but they all looked great so I will try some the next time I visit. My friend who is a regular here recommended the Bandejita and I'm already looking forward to the next time I come to Little Colombia because it was fantastic. This dish has variety- beans, arepa, rice, plantain, avocado, egg, pork belly, sausage, and steak (you can also choose chicken). All of this for only $13.99! And the taste? Delightful. The sausage had a nice crispy exterior, the steak paired well with the spicy salsa that came with the dish, and the pork belly was nice and crispy. The only thing I wish was different about the pork was the gaimy aftertaste (I'm personally just super picky with pork and need it to be thoroughly washed and blanched). But my friend ate my leftover pork belly and she thoroughly enjoyed it- all just personal preference. Aside from that, the rice, beans, plantains, etc were delicious. I've stopped by a few times when I didn't have time to bring lunch and just needed something quick between clients. Every time, it's been a great experience. The empanadas are delicious--I absolutely love them. The fresh orange juice is always really good as well. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, which makes the visit even better. Had some car work next door and noticed this place nearby. My only exposure to Colombian food were these amazing empanadas and salsa back in San Clemente, CA. I was happy to see that they served them here! I walked in and the place was inviting. I ordered some beef empanadas (there's a chicken option) and it was quick, friendly and easy. The crust was a little thicker than what I had but still pretty tasty! Salsa was pretty good! Definitely will have to come back when I had more time for a sit down meal. read more

I've only been here in the mornings, but is very cheerful. People are very nice and the murals on the wall make you feel like you're in Puerto Rico or Columbia. Cappuccino is delicious and all of the bread and desserts that I've tried have been very good as well . Only downside is they do not have Wi-Fi. I was at an appointment in the area and I entered the restaurant, eager to try some authentic Colombian food. But I also had a crisis with my phone and needed a charge asap, in order to proceed to my next stop. I approached the counter and told the young man that I needed some help and he immediately charged my phone for me. I really appreciated his kindness. We've wanted to try this place for a while and finally got to the other night for dinner. The food itself.....so very good!!! You didn't have to add any additional seasoning or sauces. The portions were huge. We had plenty of leftovers to take home afterwards. The lemonade and passion fruit drinks that we tried were made fresh and were the best!! The reason for the three stars was the service. I wish I could give 3.5 because 3 is too low, but 4 is too generous. Our server was nice, but throughout the course of the meal he came to check on our table once. It was not crowded nor was there a rush. Outside of that, I'd give this place another shot! I noticed this driving down Spring Cypress and decided to check it out. I'm glad I did. The plantain soup was very good (only could have been a little hotter). It came with rice, salad, plantains (yum) and a slice of beef. Very filling so I had to take dessert home. I can't remember the names of the desserts but one was filled with guava and one had sweet cream. Very good! Lovely staff - "stay, enjoy, take your time since you just ate." I went here with some friends for an impromptu luncheon. We had a good time the restaurant is in a little plaza with other businesses so you can miss it if you're not paying attention. The staff was really patient and friendly. I ended up getting steak churrasco meal which was under $20 very affordable and the steak was very fatty, which I loved and guacamole comes with it as well as avocado slices. To be honest, I think they gave avocado slices with every entrée. Which is a nice change from the normal extra charge when other restaurants give you avocado. read more

Bad customer service, the waitress Dayana C is terrible had an attitude. The waitress was rude, I ask for a favor to charge my phone it was returned wet and when I ask what happened she lied and said nothing. I informed my family and she interrupted and said it fell in the coffee machine. She lied to me and I mentioned it to her and she got upset rolled her eyes walked away and was talking saying stuff. We were really excited when this place opened since there aren't many Spanish restaurants in the area. The food is OK, the meat is very hard to chew on but the rest is pretty decent. The best thing for sure is the bakery, the bread is authentic and they have a pretty good selection. Based only on food I would have given 3 stars but I'm leaving one star because of their service. I've encountered the owner maybe once or twice, she's very polite and sweet but I don't think she's aware of how her staff works when she isn't around. Every time I've walked in to eat with family members, no one greets us they just all look at each other. They don't offer a table, so you awkwardly just sit at a random table. The staff aren't polite, they don't provide good service nor are they attentive. You have to be asking for stuff, even water or refills. I would understand if maybe they were packed but it's never packed and there's plenty of staff, which should be more of a reason to give quality service. For me personally, I can like a place so much but when the service is bad and the workers have attitudes- I don't return. I truly hope the owner sees this and makes drastic changes for the sake of her restaurant. That staff gotta goooooooo! read more
