We got some bean and cheese pupusas which were good with the sauce and curtido - pickled vegetables. We also had the camarones a la diabla which is a shrimp dish simmered in a chipotle sauce. It was a bit disappointing - not spicy at all. The food overall was a bit bland and could use more salt. It was kind of hot during the first half of the meal in the restaurant and they were playing awkward church type music which is not the vibe for when I'm eating dinner at a restaurant. The food was okay but I would not go back.

I tried the pupusas de frijol y queso, and they were very good--the tortillas were nicely toasted, which I personally enjoy. The curtido came in a small scoop (for 1 popusa); unlike most Salvadoran restaurants, they don't offer self-serve curtido, and I'm not sure if they would charge extra for more. The tamal de pollo was okay. The masa was a bit dry but had good flavor. I also tried the ensalada drink, which wasn't what I expected--it usually has agua de marañon, but this one was made with watermelon juice instead. Still, it was refreshing. Customer service was excellent, and I appreciated the easy QR code payment option. The restaurant has a modern atmosphere and plays Christian music throughout the day. They also offer Mexican dishes, which I haven't tried yet, but I might on my next visit. Overall, I would recommend El Sol and would definitely come again for more Salvadoran food!

I know the name is Old School Burger but the owners are from Venezuela and they have some back home…read morerecipes. One of them is the papusaa. I ordered the Loco, off the menu, but from a trusted source. And a bottle of Modelo Negra to set the mood. The plate came out and the papusa was huge. Big as the plate. With a side of slaw and tomato dipping sauce. I was set. I'm not a slaw fan so sent that back but got to the main event quickly. The Loco Papusa had pork meat, beans, spinach and chz. It was amazing. Ive had Papusas from Central America and thaw are the two deal. I've had their burgers and the Papusas ame both are great can't go wronh.

Offers beer, wine, and happy hour The old school Burgers I'm used to: Toast their buns and I love a toasted bun. They also offer Turkey burgers. I've tried the turkey burger once and the meat patty reminded me of a smash burger style patty, so next time, I think I'll get two. I also customized the burger with bacon, blue cheese, pickles, and a hard fried egg which made for a nice addition of flavors. Queso tasted home made. Cleaned the bowl! Sweet potato fries, let's say they've managed to achieve a nicely cut proportionate fry with the authentic sweet potato flavor and texture that's not soggy.

Brisket Fries .... I would suggest adding the white queso to them. Yum.
