Ehhhhh the quality of the food is what gives this place its three stars! They have amazingly tasty food! I took two stars away solely based on the service and the lack there of regarding speed. Plus my server kept forgetting stuff. But back to the food quality. It's totally worth it (if you have time and patience) lol! I recommend this place solely for the vibe and the food! I went in to the brookshire restaurant on Saturday afternoon 07/10/2021 and asked for 2 pupusas and a Mondongo soup to dine in. I also asked for 8 pupusas to go. I paid for all of it with my credit card before I went to sit down. After I was finished eating with my kids I went and asked about the pupusas I had ordered to go. The Mexican lady that was working the register forgot that I had already paid and tried to make me pay again. She also disrespected the Salvadoran dish by calling it "Menudo". I had to tell her that "Menudo" has completely different ingredients put in and I didn't want a Mexican menudo. I wanted a Salvadoran mondongo soup "Sopa de Pata". We have always loved them! We finally decided to ask her where she gets them from and she told us this place. I have only had the pupusas here and they are delicious. They have a variety from the regular bean and cheese to the fajita cheese and chicken cheese. I have tried the fajita and cheese and the bean and cheese. They also offer green salsa which is my go to. My co worker always picks up orders for us. Unfortunately she just moved back to Hondurus. First came across this place when my best friend who is Salvadoran really wanted me to try Salvadoran food. Even though the only thing I've tried is their pupusas, I really love it here. Their food is authentic. I can tell because every time I come here, it seems like there are always native Spanish speakers eating here. Their pupusas always come out fresh and steaming.
