Riptide Cafe is a small Drive-Thru/Walk Up coffee joint, located in Arcata, CA. I parked and walked up - ordered my traditional cold brew with cream added. Drink was pretty good, nice and cold, got the ole brain cells firing in no time! Service was good! #RiptideCafe

What a quaint little coffee shop! Drove thru on our way out of McKinleyville. This shop is easy to miss so keep your eyes out! From when we ordered to receiving our food and drinks was about 10 min. Drinks: We ordered a 16 oz vanilla latte (hot) and a 20 oz iced vanilla latte w/ almond milk. The hot latte was passable. The iced latte was pretty gross. It just didn't taste smooth, the expresso tasted burnt. They made the iced latte extra sweet which I think helped cover up a lot of the bitterness. Drank about half of that one and threw it away. Also PSA most of their syrups are sugar free. Food: Food is where Riptide really shines. We had a ham & cheese bagel and a croissant with cream cheese & raspberry jam. Both were yummy. Croissant was pretty sweet so I only managed to eat about half. Overall, not sure I'd be back. This is one of the only coffee spots in town though.

Really great prices. The two girls working are sweethearts who were working so well through a busy afternoon. I got a 24oz iced coffee and 16 oz green tea iced. Cost 5.25 , they have sandwiched and other seasonal drinks

I ordered an organic coffee. It's not fresh. Yuck it's old coffee. I'm dumping it out.

I'm so old, the last time I was in this building, it was Duck's market. I've driven by lots of…read moretimes, but I've never come in until today. Parking is street parking only, so it can get tricky during busier times. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a very large food menu, and they also have bagels, pastries, coffee, espresso drinks, , smoothies, beer, and wine. I was in at lunchtime, so I decided to get an "everything bagel" with their sun-dried tomatoes spread. I asked for light spread, and that's what I got. The bagel was amazing! Very tender. I could smell the garlic on the bagel and taste it as well. It was excellent. The spread was both savory and rich, but not overly rich. I loved it. I also had a white mocha. It was a good quality, coffee, and the drink was rich and sweet, but not overly so. I was talking with my sister later, and she told me that their sandwiches and salads are also very good. I decided to come back for dinner. I had the salami, baguette, and one of their lemon squares for dinner. The Salami Baguette had Salami, Jack Cheese, Spinach, Tomatoes, Dijon, and Pesto (Basil, Olive Oil, Garlic, Walnuts, Parmesan, and Salt) That sandwich was amazing! Baguette was soft and delicious, they were generous with the salami, and it had the right amount of cheese. The veggies give it a nice "pop" of freshness, the pesto was rich, but not overly so, and the Dijon and just a tiny bit of a "zip" to it. All of the ingredients played together very well. The lemon square, the crust was flaky, the lemon was creamy, but not overly sweet, and it had just the right amount of powdered sugar on the top. Everything I had there today was fantastic. The prices were reasonable. I will definitely be back to try more items. My only regret is waiting so long before I finally came in. Thanks!

First time trying out Aroma's Cafe and it was a 10/10 experience!…read more I ordered the breakfast bagel with ham and avocado and it was delicious. My boyfriend got the breakfast burrito with bacon and it was also flavorful and super yummy. The service was amazing, our food took less than 5 minutes. I didn't get the woman's name that was behind the counter but she was super friendly. The ambiance was unlike other cafes I've been to. It's not super modern and plain. Tons of cool decorations, string lights on the ceiling, very pretty mosaic art and more! I would definitely go back again.

I don't remember the person's name, but I know who she was talking about. The place is nice, bright and clean. Everybody is friendly. They have a nice menu. I was going to have one of the savory crêpes, but then I saw that they had Al Pastor Chilaquiles on the menu. That's what I decided to go for. I ordered breakfast and a cup of coffee. The coffee was good They were pretty busy. My food comes, and it was very good. The chips were crunchy, but not greasy or oily at all, there was plenty of pork, and it had a great flavor. The crema, , the cheese and the salsa, provided a nice pop of flavor as well. She asked me if I wanted green or red salsa, or both. I asked if they were spicy, and she said no, so I chose both.. Red on one side, green on the other. They both had just a little bit of a kick to them. The red salsa had a rich, deep flavor, and I loved the green tomatillo salsa as well. I think the next time, I would ask her to put a couple of eggs on the top. That would've just taken it totally over the top. It was a great meal, and the price was reasonable, as I had plenty to take home. The only reason I'm taking a star off, is because the place was slow. They were a bit busy, and it took 20 minutes for me to get my food. I understand, they may have a small kitchen, but definitely bring your patience. As for the coffee, I only got one cup of coffee. I asked for a refill, she said she had to make a new pot, but by the time my meal was ready, she still didn't have fresh coffee available. How long does it take to make a pot of coffee? Other than those minor hiccups, I would definitely be back. Thank you. I
