They have used and brand new books, but buying used that are still in in mint condition and low price is amazing. We were told that they accept used books of any kind and will get a lifetime credit that never expires. Once you get a credit and buys a used book, the price will be less 50% from the written price. This is an awesome deal. We will surely come back here.

They just don't have too many bookstores left like this one. As the name suggests, you can bring your gently used books in and they will keep a record of them, and you will receive a discount of roughly half off of whatever you decide to buy in exchange for bringing in your old books. This turns out to be a great value considering the good condition and broad variety of the books that they carry. We can always find something good to read, and the price is definitely always easy on the pocketbook. The lovely people who work here are very well informed. I was looking for a classic by Pearl S Buck, and she knew exactly where it was located in the store. I have confidence in these guys, and I know that I can check with them before I go look elsewhere. A must see for any avid reader or bibliophile.

She set up a rug and chaise longe and had her friend show up and one left a beat up van with flat tire.. I had to call the cops twice. Savmart did NOTHING. The other day (7/7) there were 2 more homeless with carts. I spoke to one and he said the lady told the group of homeless by library in Manteca to come to Ripon. I've seen them under the bridge by Main Street and recycle center and 1 passed out along Colony road last week. Our police use to be better about taking them to shelters, but now they"re coming out everywhere and Police are not doing anything!

Well organized and fun to participate. Businesses provided water which made it nice. The only advice I would give is; if your a business participating in the event, dont shortcut the people supporting your event. When you register, they give you a 4 oz beer mug. The perfect size for visiting the multiple locations. A few of the businesses poured less that an ounce off beer and had cheap snacks. Please make an effort to fill most of the class and provide reasonable food. It reflects poorly on your business when you are one of the few businesses short changing the people supporting your event. Thank you

Sorry Ripon but not a festival we would go back to and I think that a lot of people feel the same way. It makes my family and I feel like they do not care just filled spots. Not a happy experience.

Please read before enrolling. I have just graduated from this LVN program, and I can honestly say…read morethat throughout the entire 12 months, the program was extremely unorganized. Module 1 was by far the most difficult not because of the material itself, but due to poorly prepared instructors who did not seem knowledgeable about what they were teaching, along with administration that relied heavily on fear and intimidation rather than support. Module 2 continued with the same issues. When I reached out for help regarding a class concern, I contacted Mr. Baca, the VN coordinator, and received a very cold, dismissive response. There was no compassion, no guidance, and his demeanor was unprofessional, rude, and insincere. This lack of support was consistent throughout the program. Module 3 was overall the easiest academically; however, the Med-Surg 2 instructor was frequently absent and displayed petty behavior, which further reflected the program's lack of structure and accountability. Module 4 was the one exception. Dawn, the OB instructor, was exceptional--she is one of the most passionate and dedicated nurses I have ever met. Ms. Charmaine, the instructor thats a NICU nurse was also outstanding and truly amazing. These two instructors were the highlight of the program and the only ones who genuinely cared about student learning and success. Along with Jay the clinical instructor, he holds a lot of passion for what he does. I did pass the exit exam and have completed the program. I would only recommend this school to individuals who are 100% committed to becoming a nurse, highly resilient, and capable of navigating a program with minimal support. Unfortunately, there is little to no help from instructors or management. Ms.Tu although i did not speak to her much she was always professional and helpful when i did contact her. Overall, this program lacks organization, professionalism, and adequate student support.

The program offers a detailed and well-structured syllabus with excellent clinical exposure. The variety of clinical facilities helped me effectively connect theory with real nursing practice. The instructors are experienced, dedicated, and bring different teaching styles, which made learning engaging and meaningful. I would like to personally appreciate Ms. Mandeep Kaur for her excellent Med-Surg lectures and deep understanding of physiology. Ms. Dawn Hayek delivered outstanding OB lectures; her teaching style, expressions, and clinical insight made her lectures more valuable than textbooks. Ms. Laura impressed me with her energy and experience-based Pharmacology teaching. Ms. Charmaine brought strong expertise in PEDS and NICU, adding depth to her lectures. Mr. Phil Waymire played a key role during MOD IV and Capstone by helping tie everything together. His SIMS knowledge and rationales truly empowered students. I also appreciate Ms. MJ, Ms. Jess, and Ms. Ashita for being kind, supportive, and knowledgeable. The clinical instructors were exceptional. Ms. Antonieta Largoza is thorough and disciplined, ensuring strong fundamentals. Ms. Linda White is passionate and inspiring, and Ms. Alicia Grigsby has a unique teaching style with excellent student camaraderie. Special thanks to Ms. Tu (Director) for her coordination with students, Mr. Benne (VN Coordinator) for always advocating for students and resolving issues promptly, and Mr. Jay and Ms. Brenda (Clinical Coordinators) for their constant support and responsiveness. I also appreciate Mr. Tony (Security) for maintaining a safe and caring environment. Kudos to Ms. Kari, Ms. Sharjani, Mr. Veneet, Ms. Lori, and Ms. Edail Odisho for their continued support. My classmates were caring and supportive throughout the program, and I truly witnessed the nurturing spirit of future nurses among them. As a constructive suggestion, adding tutors with strong clinical and pathology-based knowledge could further enhance student understanding and learning outcomes. Overall, Gurnick Academy feels like a family, not just an institution. I hope the Modesto location introduces an RN program in the future and offers scholarships for continuing students.

I believe the best asset to having this location where it is, is due to…read morethe actual WIC store on the other side of the street (same parking lot), and anyone relying on WIC can appreciate that. The staff here isn't always friendly. I'm not sure whether or not this is due to the massive overload of clients (a.k.a. "WIC" clients), or the always wonderful, ever-spreading attitude of "I don't like my job, so I could care less if anyone realizes that". Unfortunately, anyone who speaks to an employee at the front desk gets a very abrupt, cocky attitude. In other words, if they were doctors, their bedside manner would be considered unacceptable. It's difficult to address these issues when the staff manager appears to feel overworked and overpaid herself. She may be, they might all be. But the clients shouldn't have to deal with being treated with so little respect. We're all simply trying to do whatever is necessary to make sure our children are well taken care of and fed properly. As far as the waiting area goes, this has to be the only location for several cities. It's always jam packed full of mothers, future mothers, and children. Many of which will likely get on your nerves because the parental guidance reminds me of how you always have to fight your way through parent(s) with 4+ children that are left to do whatever they please. One child attempted to go through my purse, while another yelled in my ear beside me at his sister on the floor. He told her to leave my purse alone while mom stood against the wall (yes, it was that packed) playing on her phone, rolling her eyes while she chewed gum. Lovely, vivid picture that is, isn't it?
