Guacamole Mexicano , so good a huge bowl of avocado, pico , cilantro and lime . Not your standard mash but chunky and full of flavor. Beans and rice the standard but still good. A Burrito Texano huge and packed full . My other half loves house made spicy salsas so he slathered his with the red sauce , they also had a spicy avocado tomatillo and poblano . It was Birra tacos for me tortilla was packed with tender beef , onions and just enough cilantro the side of broth was flavorful. They were quick with the chips and kept your drink full . While I didn't try any of the bar drinks they looked festive and the flight of Margs is definitely on my next visit . The service was on point and everyone we encountered was super friendly . Stopped by Rio 150 near the Concord Mills Mall for a casual meal and had a great time. The Mexican food was excellent. I especially loved the tacos al pastor and the country fried chicken, which were flavorful and well seasoned. The menu has a wide variety of traditional items and fresh ingredients, showing real care in how the dishes are prepared. They also serve things like birria tacos and fajitas if you want more options. One of the things this place is known for is the huge cocktails and margaritas. I am not an alcohol drinker, but even from a non drinker perspective they looked fun and creative. There are margarita flights, mangonadas, cantaritos, and more, so if you enjoy drinks that are big and festive this is a spot to check out. I ordered a Margarita frozen and it tasted like frozen water so I ordered and extra shot of tequila and it helped. My girlfriend ordered a whisky sour and she said it was not good. Had such a great time at Rio 150 in Concord! The service was super fast, the restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was fun from start to finish. We couldn't resist trying the beer boot and the world's largest margarita both lived up to the hype! The food was packed with flavor and came out hot and fresh. Amazing and super flavorful Mexican food! I ordered online for pickup and I'm glad I did. They place was packed with huge waits on a Saturday night. It looked like a fun place for parties though so I will definitely be back for dine in. I ordered the birria tacos, Al pastor taco and carnitas taco. They were all so flavorful and delicious. I loved that they were nice and full too. The order also came with chips and some salsas. One was a little too spicy and one was super bland, but mixed together they were great! Rio 150 is a very nice addition to the Concord Mills food scene. There have been other Mexican restaurants in this location but we enjoyed our food very much with the newest group. I think a few things like the hostesses could be improved on but to be fair, it was very busy when we got there and the small welcome lobby was packed and there was no hostess to be seen for a good 5 minutes. We also had a bit of a miscommunication at the bar which ended up costing us $40 for two drinks!!! However, the drinks were very good, but make sure you're very specific on what you want and what type of liquor you desire. Our waiter was awesome and it seemed like everyone was being taken care of efficiently. The venue itself is LARGE. Tables are packed in on one side and on the bar side, booths seem a bit more private. Once seated I did not feel like I didn't have enough room, so that was good. They also have a large outside patio. Rio is definitely worth trying out. We'll be back!! read more

Last Friday I finally tried Rio 151. The restaurant was packed but the wait wasn't too long. The customer service is impeccable. Sadly, the food and drinks didn't live up to the hype. The food was mid- the presentation was good but the food lacked flavor and was not at all what I expected. My table ordered a dip and it was very runny and loose. Those big drinks are ful of juice. We came here for margaritas. I would strongly suggest splitting it! This place is good for families or a girls day. The food was ok, I got arroz con camerones. I go to this location quite often and my most recent visit was very disappointing. It was 5pm on a Saturday and service was slow and the food was awful. Nothing had any flavor...not even the salsa...it tasted like straight tomato sauce. The rice was bland, the carne asada had no seasoning. Our group tab was $280 and nothing was comped even after telling the server the food was awful when he asked if we wanted boxes because no one ate anything. I choose their Birria Quesadilla. It was ok. It was thick and pulled high but the flavor felt flat. It wasn't deep and robust. It didn't come with rice or beans either which is typical from what I gathered. The queso wasn't seasoned and the chips were bland. I wasn't really impressed but my Margarita was good. Great food & drinks, but service needs a little polish. I tried out the new Rio 150 in Concord and had a decent experience overall. The wait time wasn't bad at all for a Thursday evening, even though it was pretty busy--probably because it's a new spot that's getting a lot of attention. The service was okay. Our waitress was clearly doing her best, but she was stretched thin--serving inside and outside guests at the same time. Despite that, she stayed friendly and got everything to us in a reasonable amount of time. I ordered the house lime Monster Margarita, and let me tell you--it was delicious and definitely gets you right if you know what I mean! The presentation was amazing too--the waitress even lit the lime on fire, which was a fun touch. For food, I got the chicken fajitas, which came out sizzling on a hot skillet--just how I like it. The flavor was great, but unfortunately, my flour tortillas (you can choose between flour or corn) was forgotten with the food. I waited a bit after I asked for them, but everyone was busy serving others and I ended up having to go to the kitchen myself to get them. By then, my chicken had gotten cold. Despite that hiccup, I still enjoyed the overall taste of my meal and the vibe. I'm not sure I'd return to the Concord location, just because it felt a bit too hectic, but I'm open to giving the Mooresville location a try next time. Okay I've been twice now AND... I'm just not impressed. Perfect location at Concord Mills Mall. Service is quick and fast. That being said many of the servers have a rushed hurry up flow when you're placing your orders and finishing your meals/drinks. Can be a bit annoying if you don't have a stubborn spirit of slowing them down to accommodate your pace. We are the customers! Plenty of indoor, bar, and outdoor seating. NOW TO THE FOOD AND DRINKS. Flavors are lacking! I've had the Al Pastor Tacos, Chicken/Steak Fajitas, Arroz Con Steak, Willie's Tacos, QuesaBirria Tacos, and Cheesesteak Burritos. The queso is good and thankfully not watered down. The margaritas DO NOT HAVE ANY ALCOHOL in them and I surely did not order virgin! IMO there are other Mexican restaurants in the Charlotte area that offer more bang for your buck as far as flavor and real drinks. The food here is delicious! I have visited 2 times and the flavor was great! During both visits, the servers were really nice. The place has gained a lot of attention so it was busier this time than the last so the waiter was spread a little thin. The music is great, and the atmosphere is fun and friendly. Came here on a Thursday evening after all the rave reviews on TikTok. The wait for 2 ppl was 45 mins (30 mins longer than the time I was quoted when I called from the parking lot to see how long the wait time was before going inside.) I'm guessing all the hype is about the purse margarita and all the other novelty drinks they have which is why I didn't see any reviews for their food because the food is trash and made my stomach disagree the next day. The space is good, however they have tables everywhere and the isles are small. Two ppl cannot pass by at the same time & forget about posting up a stroller. It's also pretty loud in there. My aunt & I had to yell across the table to hear each other. The booths are larger ppl friendly. I say this because I had to scoot to the end of the chair to be close to the table so I wouldn't drop anything on myself. I'm 5'7 for reference. After being seated we were given chips and salsa (mild & spicy). Mild had no flavor and no heat. It definitely wasn't mild. Spicy also had no flavor but had a creeper kick to it. Both salsas were on the thin side. Usually Mexican restaurant salsa is thick and/or chunky. My skinny margarita was sour and I wasn't offered a choice for the rim. As you see in the picture, it came butt naked I've never had a margarita w/o sat, sugar or tajin on the rim regardless of you asked for a rim. My fajitas were DRY. The meat FLAVORLESS. The chicken and steak definitely hadn't been marinated & was overcooked. A lot of the pieces stuck to the hot fajita plate. My aunt got a beef chimichanga & a chicken chimichanga. She enjoyed the beef & said the chicken was DRY. The bathroom was clean. The bar was small. I don't recommend it here for food. I'd be willing to give the drinks another shot read more

This is my second time coming the first time I was there was for dinner, which was fine! But this time I got there right when they opened And I waited about five minutes inside the door because the waitresses were gabbing away, even though they saw me, but we're flirting with some man sitting at a table! When a gentleman notice me, he told the waitress to seat me which she did. My server came right away and I ordered cause I knew what I wanted already which was at lunch special a chicken enchilada with beans and rice and I ordered a water and a small bowl of guacamole. He brought out the water and the chips and salsa right away, but I never did see the bowl of guacamole. My lunch came soon after and it was fresh and very hot but also bland tasting! The beans were somewhat runny. Also, I couldn't really pick them up with the fork and they only give you a knife and a fork wrapped up in a napkin. I got my bill and the guacamole was not on it so obviously he forgot because he never wrote down my order!
