Do not use. They ruined 4 dresses and a silk shirt of mine. And they are non responsive.

City dwelling can cause challenges getting to and from the dry cleaners. I dry clean 60-80 shirts at a time. Rinse has been a complete game changer. I've used them 5 times thus far. My dress shirts come back clean and starched accordingly. I've also dry cleaned 3 suits which also came back very nicely. Lastly, they cater to my busy schedule. Sometimes I get home late from work. Rinse will come pick up your garments up until 10pm which is awesome. They also recycle old wire hangers which has reduced clutter in my closet. I'd highly recommend. read more

We received half of our own dry cleaning and half of someone else's. Don't give them your dry cleaning -- you will have trouble getting it back! also don't think the quality of the dry cleaning is that high either. Wash and fold was fine except they used scented detergent instead of unscented. read more

My husband and I had a pretty stressful situation dealing with a repair accident that dirtied much of our clothes (long story). We knew we had a ton of clothes to wash and dry clean so we searched for a service that could provide that since we weren't going to spend energy, time, and money washing and folding or driving anywhere for something that wasn't our fault. We took a shot at using Rinse since they pick up and deliver and it was a pleasant surprise! Everything was clean, soft, delivered quickly, and separated very neatly. We were also surprised by the price, which was rather affordable for such large loads. There was definitely attention to detail, and even the customer service was great and responsive. Really thankful for having Rinse around in a pinch! We'll definitely be relying on Rinse again soon. read more

I just signed up for Rinse for a few weeks. I got texts to explain the process, and our driver was originally supposed to arrive betwen 8-10pm. Then I got a text that it would be 9:45-10:15pm. Then I got a message that he was delayed further and it would be 10:30-10;55pm (some people are in bed by then!). Since it was my first time I didn't have any bags to put my clothes in, and they use color-coded bags. He texted at 10:14 saying he would be here in 14 minutes. He did not arrive in 14 minutes. At 10:45 he called me, but by then my phone was on automatic DND and the phone didn't ring or notify me. Sorry I put my phone on DND at 10:30! He never rang the doorbell, he just looked around for bags and left (I have him on camera). I was told the driver would come to the door with the bags and wait while i put the clothes in them. How am I supposed to do that if he doesn't come to the door? I received a text saying sorry we missed you, you can reschedule. I then saw he had called (also they never said the driver would call) and immediately called him back. He was the rudest man and nastily said he wouldn't come back. I said well then there's going to be a problem and he answers sarcastically, I guess there's going to be a problem. Terrible customer service!! read more

I am back to being a huge Rinse fan. It turns out there was an issue with their texting system, but Cathy worked with me to resolve it. I can text them and get a response reliably now. I also know I can contact them if things go south again. As for their service? You need this. Even if it's just for the Sunday-afternoon, I forgot to go to the dry cleaners moment. You need it. If you hate ironing and starching? Yep. When you _can_ communicate with them, they're super responsive. They even sent me photo of where they left a "personless" delivery so I'd know it was there. This is an update of my negative review. Rinse did finally get back to me and made me whole. They redid the laundry with one day service and no charge, and took the offending undies away. I just wish they had a customer service number, and it's not all email, text or other electronic media. It's always good to talk to someone. Had a little problem with an order before this one with my wash/fold being returned without the fabric softener. Have a thing about soft clothes and a nice smell. Well, the RINSE customer service team did an excellent job of correcting the problem to my benefit and they turned around a disappointed customer. They took the time and handled my issue. I had a lot of extra laundry and donations to give her and she was more than happy to help me. I don't think Rinse is for everyone, but as someone without a washer/dryer whose nearest laundromat closed down, it's a godsend. The service sends texts with notifications about pickup and delivery, they have a hang-dry option (!!!) in addition to wash-and-fold and dry cleaning, and they allow you to leave clothes for pickup outside your door, so you don't have to be home. You can get next-day delivery for an additional $5, and they text photos of picked up and dropped-off clothes so that you can be sure they've come by when you're away. Although the company prides itself in eliminating the pink tax for women's dry cleaning, my button up shirts which were identical to men's were billed as blouses, instead of shirts, and I was charged $8 a piece, when online it says that both men's and women's shirts are charged at $2.50 a piece. I feel this is deceitful advertising, as the lady who picked up also confirmed they all looked like shirts to her. No frills, no ruffles, no anything. I am extremely displeased with the false advertising. If i could give negative stars, I would. Update-- Rinse team resolved and corrected the pricing very quickly after an email. I was very excited about this business because of the convenience but my experience with them was completely unacceptable. I gave them a coat that needed a button sewn back on, and I provided the button. It was a gold-looking metal button. The people who picked up this item noted the button, taped it to the pocket, and put it in its own bag so it would not get separated from the button. This was great and I felt very confident in the business at that point. It took two weeks for them to return my coat, and it came back with a plastic button. And they charged me $16--to sew on a button. Completely unacceptable. If they lost the button, they should have replaced it with something that looked similar, not a cheap plastic thing. I contacted Rinse and they said they would let me know if they find the button. The other item I sent in was a black dress. It had a black zipper that was broken. Again, it took two weeks and they charged me $12 to replace the zipper. And instead of replacing it with a black zipper, they put in a metal/silver one. If they were going to make the dress look different, someone should have contacted me and gotten my permission, and given me the option to not have that done to my dress. When you send something in to get fixed, you are not giving them permission to do whatever they want to your stuff. For the sake of completeness I will mention that after complaining to Rinse, they refunded my money. They offered to fix the zipper, but I don't want to wait another 2 weeks to be able to use my items, and I no longer have confidence in their business. I will be going elsewhere. So I guess if you are ok getting a refund any time they make a mistake, it's fine. But I don't have the time or patience for that. read more

Rinse exceeded my expectations! Everything about how they worked was convenient, friendly, and just, good. The customer service, the delivery and pickup guys, the quality of the cleaning... I just received my first order of a few dry cleaning items and wish I never sent any of my clothes to Rinse. I sent two dress slacks and four dress shirts out for cleaning on Friday evening. I selected the rush delivery so I could have them back Sunday evening. Pick-up was super easy and the valet was professional and arrived on time. Delivery was also exactly when they said it would be on Sunday. Their communication by text was great. The convenience factor is truly amazing, especially when you live in downtown DC, work long hours and don't have a car. When I took the items out of the bag, all of the bottoms of the dress shirts were really wrinkled and one of my shirts was missing a button. Seems like there is a real lack of attention to detail at Rinse. At most dry cleaners if a button breaks, they will at least replace it. I called their 800 number to report the issue and ask for a refund, but after a long hold, I gave up on it. Later that evening, I received a text from someone in their customer service department who offered me a $30 Rinse credit for my troubles. I told them I had no interest in ever trying their service again, so they then kindly agreed to refund me. If you have nice clothes that you care about, I highly recommend you stick with your local dry cleaner that you trust. I certainly won't ever use this service again. read more

I LOVE this service. We do the weekly pickup and delivery. It's called the Rinse/Repeat. They gave us a HUGE bag that we fill up weekly and leave on the porch and whatever we can fit in the bag is included in the monthly fee. We have two boys and all of their clothes are overwhelming and so tiny to fold compared to ours! There is a 3 day turnaround, but it works for us. On average, we send about 25-27 lbs weekly for 185/month. read more

We've had a great experience with Rinse. As two very busy working parents with crazy hours and 2 young children having someone come and pick up and drop-off as well as wash and fold our mountain of laundry is a chore I am thrilled to outsource. The valet who comes is friendly and knowledgable and is helpful and pleasant. They come for pick up after dinner so I don't have to rush and they make everything easy and quick. I am glad to have found them-- while they are more expensive than the wash and fold in my neighborhood-- the drop-off and pick up makes the extra .75 a pound worth it to me! I had a really good first experience with Rinse. I gave them two separate loads. One was wash and fold and the other was launder and press. I asked for rush delivery on both. The wash and fold clothes were back in less than 24 hours, folded like a master laundry folding artisan had folded them. It was like towel origami. The launder and press was back the next day. They found a rip in my pants and fixed it free of charge before they washed and pressed my pants. The rush charge was $5 which seemed extremely cheap. Everyone who I interacted with, valets and all, were polite and professional. I found the price very reasonable considering the level of service and interaction you get. Obviously this is more expensive than doing your own laundry but wow is it ever nice. And my own laundry never comes out this good. Also the employees are all W-2 which makes me feel better about using them. read more

Just received my first wash/fold from Rinse. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Customer service responded to my emails almost instantly. The App was super easy to use. Love the ability to track the pickup and drop off and the status texts communication from the drivers. Later picked up my laundry and was super knowledgeable, answered my questions and confirmed my preferences. I put a rush on my order and the wash/fold was delivered tonight (picked up last night) and the dry clean will be delivered on Tues. Fantastic first experience. I've been so impressed with their service. As an Airbnb host, we felt lost when our washer and dryer bit the dust and we had lots of sheets and towels to do. We had heard about Rinse from another Airbnb host. They exceeded our expectations. So much so that we are still sending stuff out to them (even though we have a shiny new washer and dryer). Rinse has very convenient times to pick up/drop off. It has a fast turnaround time to actually clean the clothes, which is very helpful, especially if you're needing work clothes dry cleaned quickly. It's very convenient that the driver comes right to my door (vs. my building's front desk). The service is reasonably priced, and far less than other app laundry services I've used. They verify the items you've just had picked up to make sure it's all correct. You find out exactly when you'll get the clothes back before the driver even leaves your home. What I think is really great is getting reminder texts about Rinse being in the area. This is very helpful, because otherwise I wouldn't necessarily think about it even if I need it. Finally, I like the very accurate texts about when the driver is going to come to my apartment, so that I can be reminded and be ready. read more

Soooo nice to not have to lug my dry cleaning to and from the cleaners and remember when my pickup date is. Rinse always provides ample notice via text message when your drop off/pickup times are, so I'm never surprised when I hear the knock on my door. And I live in a multi-unit apartment building and they come right up to my front door, which is great. I hate going down to the lobby to pick up my pizza. In my experience so far, the drivers that come by have been friendly and knowledgeable about the service. My dry cleaning has always come back in perfect shape, along with an itemized list making sure everything is present and accounted for. No reason I won't keep using Rinse for all my dry cleaning. Used them to wash two comforters overnight since I had family coming in town the next day. That worked out fine. Only issue was pickup. The valet had no idea it was my first order, so he showed up with none of the three color-coded bags and tags that others have gotten. When my stuff was returned, it was returned in two black comforter bags with tags, but I still unfortunately don't have the other color bags. Minor issue, but hopefully I will be able to contact someone before a dry cleaning order to get the real initial pickup experience, explanation, bags, etc that I was supposed to get my first pickup. read more

The first 2 times I used Rinse were great. However, the third time I sent one comforter in for cleaning, Rinse mistakenly charged me for 2 comforters. When I finally got them to realize that I'd been overcharged, I was told that my refund would be processed within 3-5 business days. After checking my account 6 business days later, and confirming that I had not received my refund, I contacted Rinse again only to find that they had not processed my refund at all. Now I've been told I have to wait an additional 5 business days to get my money back. VERY disappointed with the level of service and will more than likely no longer use Rinse. read more

I literally never write reviews, especially negative ones for new businesses, but I feel it necessary in this situation. I am headed out of town on Sunday, so in a bind, I decided to use Rinse's one day service on Friday. I was told that my clothes would be delivered the following day, Saturday, at 8pm. I received a text message at 7pm on Saturday letting me know that my clothes would be delivered at 8:05pm. After rushing home to get the clothes, I received a text message at 7:45pm letting me know that my clothes weren't ready, but that they could be delivered to me between 11-12pm. I had no choice but to cancel my plans and wait for the delivery. At 11:45, having not yet received my clothing or an ETA, I decided to reach out and see when I could expect my delivery, especially because it was increasingly clear to me that it would not arrive by 12pm. I was informed that my clothes were still not ready, yet no one thought to reach out to me and let me know this. So, I have now spent my entire Saturday night waiting for my clothing. I understand that these things happen, but the fact that I've had to reach out to Rinse and that this has consumed my entire night is completely unacceptable. I will not be using Rinse in the future. read more
