This company is very reliable. The pickup and drop-off staff are very pleasant and professional. The packaging is great. The only problem is that I routinelu select scented fabric softener and oxi for my whites. The whites are never bright, and the laundry has no smell. Moving forward, it's gonna be a hard no. I have a subscription for four bags per month in the DC region (Wash and Fold). I think the prices are reasonable considering they pick up and deliver the laundry in addition to folding it. I have been pleased with the text message alerts that the valet is on their way, and it's really easy to reschedule a pick up to give the valet permission to drop off the laundry without you being there, if that is something that you want. There's even an option to check to ask them to text instead of ringing the doorbell, which is great since the late-night deliveries are usually during or after my son's bedtime. The cleaning services have been great and they even fold all our tiny baby washcloths and match all the baby socks. The only inconvenience has been that two items of clothing so far have ended up with small detergent stains. One was an already ratty sweatshirt and the other was one of my kid's sweatpants, so I really didn't care. I figure two articles of clothing out of 12 weeks of laundry service is pretty good, and if they damage anything I care about, I'll buy a new one and consider that part of the price of not doing my own laundry. read more

As happy as I was initially with their service. All went down the drain when I received pieces that were not mine, missed pieces that I know I had sent, slacks returned with bleach stained, dry cleaning of poor quality. I stop using the service. I was spending about 70.00 weekly. Thank you for the response. DON'T use this service. They ruined my $120 comforter (not 100% sure they even gave me back the right one). It's a different texture, feels gritty and rough and came back with orange stains that were not there before. It doesn't even smell clean! I decided to use this service to pick up my dry cleaning even though it cost more in order to save some time. It was a terrible decision. The valet picked up my bag of dry cleaning and it was later returned after being washed and dried. In all, I have to replace 2 suit jackets, 1 other business jacket, 2 blouses, 1 cotton shirt, and 1 silk camisole because they were washed/dried and completely ruined. This is damage in excess of $700. Additionally, the white blouses were washed with dark colors so in addition to being shrunk, they are also now grayish. When I notified Rinse, they took my clothes for inspection and after 2 weeks, I was told that the labels allow for machine washing so I would be reimbursed for 2 items and they would generously reimburse me for the cost of machine washing my dry cleaning!?! Apparently, I'm out of luck for their negligence. DON'T BE FOOLED INTO THINKING THIS IS A TIMESAVER! It is an expensive mess that I get to clean up. read more

They have real people who respond to your texts and will work with you to solve problems instead of just quoting company policy at you. 2. The valets have been, to a one, polite, respectful, prompt, and efficient. 3. The rinse repeat option is a great way to keep on top of your laundry if you work full time - the small size bags twice a month mean I always have clean clothes for work and only have to do sporadic loads on my own. I would definitely recommend, four stars only to encourage them to lower prices and make it accessible to even more people. read more

ALLERGY SUFFERERS BEWARE I have allergic asthma and need a laundry service that doesn't use scented chemicals on my stuff. The first couple of loads for wash and fold were all right. Then I got my bag back of "hang dry" laundry. As soon as I opened the bag I knew something wasn't right. They are SO SO SO SCENTED. I was able to set up a same day pick up and (for a little extra $) had my clothes washed, folded and returned to me the next day. The valet explained the entire process when he arrived with my Rinse signature, color coded bags and personalized name tag. I appreciated the constant communication: reminders and updates for when the valet was en route for pick up and delivery. And my clothes were neatly folded and packaged within the laundry bag (so no wrinkled folded clothes and my socks were not just thrown in with my other garments nor were they lost in the bottom of the bag). Used this service years ago and was very good until they shrunk an expensive shirt I bought on vacation in Italy. I had instructed them to dry on low temp but was thrown in with the rest. Rinse is really convenient and easy to use! The dry cleaners in my neighborhood didn't have great reviews on Yelp, so I figured I'd try Rinse. The pick up driver explained the whole system to me and gave me 3 color coded bags (dry clean, wash & fold, and hang dry). He scanned my bags in front of me and shook my hand. Then a few days later, on my scheduled drop off day, I got a text reminder in the morning as well as a personalized message from my Valet when he was 45 minutes away. Everything came back clean, organized and in good condition. Major points for how easy it is to follow your clothes on the app. They even email you photos of your clothes when they get to the warehouse so you can confirm everything is there. Well my first 3 experiences with Rinse were great. Super convenient and not outrageously expensive. But my last experience. Well that's a different story. Not only have they raised their prices ($2.25/lb now, it was $1.95/lb) but they lost half my clothes! I sent 2 bags - 2 were returned to me but one of them had someone else's stuff. You can skip reading all these reviews or visiting the website if you live in Ward 8-- they don't serve our zipcodes. I suppose it's too much to make that 5 drive across the bridge from Capitol Hill (or, curiously, the 1 min skip across Pennsylvania Ave from Ward 7, which Rinse does serve). Why online companies insist on coming here and claiming to serve "D.C." but leave out EoR, continues to be beyond me. I get that our neighborhoods have lower income, but D.C. is SUCH a small city. The trips to get from Ward 6 to Ward 8, or Ward 5 to Ward 7 are exceedingly short. And it's not the 90s, no one is going to shoot the Rinse Valet. So the costs of just providing us service simply cannot be that high. As digital companies, all you are doing is missing out on the business of middle and upper income residents (surprise! Ward 8 has those! and always has! they're just not white!) who live here. Maybe I will try Rinse when my neighborbood gets a little lighter-- that is probably when we will be deemed worthy to have our laundry picked up. read more

I really enjoyed using Rinse! Dry cleaning is one of those weekend errands that always falls off my list, so I am really happy that there is a company out there meeting this need. I thought their staff and level of service were awesome - being able to text to communicate is really helpful, especially during the workday. A button fell off in the drycleaning process (hey, it happens!), and they offered to pick up the clothing item next week to repair it free of charge. I have been using Rinse since they launched here in DC. The app works well. The service is always on time and most importantly, the quality of the cleaning is terrific. Everything comes back in perfect condition and perfectly cleaned. I have sent both laundered items and dry cleaned items on multiple occasions. They photograph the items during processing so you can always rest assured that the garment is actually in their hands. The other great thing has been that they have excellent QC and when they don't think an item is clean enough, they will run it again and let you know that they are doing this. This company started off great but eventually disappointed me. I used the service regularly for more than 3 months. A month ago they lost items that belonged to my wife and also had items in our laundry that did not belong to us. After emailing back and forth with an employee we scheduled a time for them to come pickup the items that weren't mine but no effort was put into returning my wife's items or refunded our money. I was asked to fill out a form and submit links to the items. I did, only to have nothing happen. I'm disappointed because the service is helpful but the customer service needs works and they have to do a better job not losing customers items and mixing up clothes. read more

This is the best service I've ever subscribed to. They clean my clothes with the utmost care and I've always been highly satisfied with the care they give to my vintage and high end pieces. I love Rinse! I was recently told about wash/fold services (never knew they existed) so I did my research and came across Rinse. I liked the pricing and that they had pickup/delivery timeframes in the evening vs. in the morning. I decided to try out the system with some clothing, towels, and bed linen. My total ended up being about $40 for the 23lb bundle plus $3.99 standard for delivery. Both the pickup valet Anni, and my drop-off valet James were on time and very friendly. I have tried Rinse twice, both times were just crazy insane weeks and I had weekend trips coming up so I figured i would give them a try (I have group laundry where I live, and the washers/dryers are old and most of the time taken so sometimes laundry can be a hassle unless you hit the sweet spot in terms of timing) Not only was the process extremely seamless, but you are given status updates throughout the day, as well as someone texting you exactly when they are there to pickup your bag/when they have dropped it back off! The clothes are returned neatly folded and often grouped by item, which is....awesome. Folding laundry is my least favorite part, LOL!
