Great personable service. Made small chat while my significant other and I signed the Recall Newsom petition. The area was clean, walkways clearly marked, distancing enforced. They limited customers into the shop. We were there just prior to closing but they did not make us feel rushed by any means. Came in a few times here to ask questions and window shop, finally years later I was in need to do a transfer from a friend which I had never done before. Steve Smith was super helpful and accommodating with helping me along the process. I often find places have snobby/snarky staff well this place isn't one of those. After taking my gun and safety test after clearing the BG check and completing the transfer I placed an item on hold that I found online more importantly this shop had a lower price! I was very weary to come here being a minority but Steve made me feel comfortable as well as another older gentleman in the past. Exercised my 2nd amendment yesterday and took home my first firearm. The Sig Sauer p238 with alloy and stainless steel. For now it's a paper weight lol you've probably heard ammo has sold out just as fast as toilet paper. These times are so unreal and real enough that it's also unbelievable! The size and feel fit in my hand perfectly. I'm excited to pick up the extra mags I ordered and some ammo just as soon as they get it. The staff is really helpful and friendly too. I was concerned they were going to close during the shelter. I spoke with a woman last week and she said as long as national guard doesn't go in and exercise Marshall law, they will stay open to serve their community. Absolutely love that! Rinkor Arms has great staff, friendly knowledgeable and helpful. Which along with their wide selection, is why we chose Rinkor Arms. WE WERE DISAPPOINTED... We purchased a used firearm (bolt action .22) The rifle did not function. It did not fire, or load the rounds properly without aid. They offered to have a gunsmith look at it, which was nice of them. After waiting a couple of weeks, we are informed that it would be a few months before the gunsmith would inspect the rifle They offered a refund, which is nice of them as well. The refund would not include the paperwork fee, which is about $100. So now we are left with a couple choices: -Wait several weeks for a gunsmiths to "possibly" fix it.. -Take the refund and lose $100.. Or -Keep the nonfunctioning firearm. Well (throwing our hands up in the air) We will seek our own gunsmith and keep the rifle. As consolation for selling us a non-functioning firearm: RINKOR ARMS offered us a free box of ammo...... SERIOUSLY???!!! SERIOUSLY?????!!!!!! A free box of ammo for a non-functioning rifle???? Same as singing to the deaf. Same as painting a work of art for the blind. Or adding gasoline to a car with no engine. SAME AS A SLAP IN THE FACE! :( Hey Rinkor Arms? Don't you have a reputation to maintain? Its understandable that a used firearm is sold as is. Can it even be considered a firearm if it doesn't fire?? Word of advice Rinkor Arms: DONT SCAM PEOPLE. I had a great experience after having a HORRIBLE one in Petaluma. I drove up, and all the guys, although very busy that day, bent over backwards to help me narrow down what I wanted. We purchased several guns and have been back since for other things to include a gun transfer. The employees were great even after a few hickups during that process. I have never bought a gun in my life I don't really plan on it honestly that's not what this review is about I woke up one morning got a ticket for going 80mph on the freeway. Then, went to Trader Joe's with my last $20 to buy food on my 'bad day' Then I went to the bank to deposit some change I had. As I was turning right onto Mendocino Ave i was reaching for my seatbelt it locked and I was trying to get it on panicking I looked back to see if it was tangled. Next thing I new I was in my car on a 90 degree day and it was raining on Mendocino Avenue. I had hit the fire hydrant in front of Rinkor Arms. The employees rushed our and asked if I was okay and comforted me and called 911. I was in shock I couldn't say anything except nod my head. I think this shows the compassion these employees have. And they care about everyone, even though I didn't buy anything. Nobody else helped me in all the cars that drove by. And they comforted me the most. I don't know what I would have done without them. So if you're in doubt of this place, Yeah buy here because obviously these people deserve every bit of good karma. Also end of my bad day: car got towed and I forgot my Trader Joe's groceries in the car LOL but no injuries just a bruise on my arm THE END!!!!! read more

I took Rinkor Arms basic handgun manipulation class and it was amazing. Very methodical, slow moving, easy to follow and empowering. They were respectful, thoughtful and really wanted to make us all feel empowered and safe. I felt self conscious going into the class and a little scared. I recently attended the Basic Handgun Manipulation Course RBHM1 they offer prior to trying to obtain my Firearm Safety Certificate. The class is three hours along and initially I was not looking forward to taking a class but I knew it help. The class exceeded my exceptions. Mike and Brian were great instructors and made the class highly interactive. The class alone is a great study guide for the test and also is hands on with targets. I purchased a SIG 1911 at Rinkor Arms on March 20th 2020 for ~$1200. When I went to pick up the the firearm 11 days later I was told I had failed the state background check. I explained to the guy behind the counter (short, dark hair) that this was surely a mistake as my 2006 H&S 11357(a) possession of cannabis conviction had been reduced to a misdemeanor and expunged back in 2008. It turns out that the state failed to update its records and then also failed to set aside the conviction, as under Prop 64, possession of cannabis is no longer a crime. Instead of working with me the guy I was talking to pressured me into taking a check for ~$860 (they charge a 25% restocking fee). In a respectful manner, I repeatedly asked him if there was a grace period for me to get my record in order and he said no. He also claimed that he would be unable to sell the firearm to someone else for 90 days, hence the high restocking fee. Defeated, I took the check and left. A $360 loss! Here is the kicker: A friend of mine who was also unaware of a past felony cannabis conviction walked into the same store 10 minutes after me to pick up a firearm he had purchased there with me 11 days prior. Instead of being pressured into taking a refund, he was offered help in getting his record set straight! Rinkor offered to hold onto the firearm and even supplied him instructions on how to get his record in order. Why Rinkor staff would treat two customers with the same problem so differently within a 10 minute time frame is a mystery to me! I'm all ears if someone from Rinkor wants to contact me to discuss this. read more

Not only do they have a clean facility but they have a shop dog named Nizmo! The store itself is clean, organized and well maintained. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. With regret I feel I need to write this review. From my understanding, the owner of Rinkor Arms also owns Economy Lock and Key, which I love. Unfortunately, they do not have the same employees and the service at Rinkor Arms is some of the worst I have experienced. I purchased an AR stripped lower here about 6 months ago. That transaction went smoothly and the tall, younger gentlemen that helped me was very helpful and friendly and knowledgeable. If this review was about his service, I would be giving 4 stars. In December I figured I would build the gun from the stripped lower. As I was going through my parts, I realized I was missing a few small parts like a detent spring, take down pin, and a detent. I went to Rinkor Arms thinking that since they sell the stripped lower, they should probably have parts kits for their assembly. Upon entering, there was one other customer being helped by the guy that sold me the lower. The other employee, a short, stocky guy that looked like he wanted to roundhouse kick someone to the head, just stood there looking through me and pacing back and forth, pretty much doing nothing. I waited patiently until he would acknowledge me, but after a few minutes I just spoke up. I asked if they had lower parts kits for an AR-15. He said no. I asked if he knew where I could get one. He said NO. And then walked away. While I understand that not every shop is going to stock what I need, a little help and at least friendliness would have gone far. I left and went to Sportsman Warehouse who also didn't have what I needed but pointed me to a place that did. Update: The owner did contact me due to my review. He was very helpful and friendly and wants to address the problem employee. I will be returning and giving them another try. I cannot let one bad employee ruin a shop for a concerned owner. Btw, they do stock lower parts kits I have been told. I am not sure what was up with that guy that day. Maybe he was hungover or was just having manapause.
