Ringside Lounge is a bar that locals in the area know about. My friend mentioned that they had great drinks and it's a chill place. Went to grab a "sex on the brain" cocktail that tasted good and was boozy! Ordered wings and cheese fries that were decent (did not like the wings in the same container as fries). This was my first time stopping by Ringside Lounge and would go again for their drinks when in the area!

Always a good time and good vibes! Small and cozy Portuguese sports bar well known for their drinks. My first time ordering food and it was amazing. Very filling and tasty. I ordered the fried shrimp and it comes with two sides (I got the fries and rice). For my drinks, my friend and I ordered the Antifreeze, jolly rancher and henny tea. Service was great our host was very tentative. Definitely recommend if you want a fun and casual night out.

Tony Soprano Jr and Bobby Baccala think the Ringside lounge is the best bar around.

Best bar in the universe. Best people, best service and bartenders. Best owner he is super chill! The drinks and food here are unbeatable. It is always a pleasure to have drinks at 'The Ringside'. Historical boxing lounge, the best! Signed Tony Soprano Jr

If you're from the area, you know all about Ringside's buckets! If you're unfamiliar with a bucket, think of the drink containers where you get homemade ice tea from the Chinese restaurants...those are buckets! Ambiance: Ringside is located right on Tonnele ave, so the area could get pretty busy at times because of traffic. From the outside it's a regular urban, trendy bar/chill spot. If you get to Ringside on a slower day (weekdays) you'll get a seat at the bar rather than in the back. If you want a personal table or a booth sitting in the back is your best bet but you better head to the bar to order your drinks and food. Table service isn't as quick as bar service. The bar area is long so lots of seating, theres plaques, pictures and a couple of TV's. You can dress like a supermodel or like you rolled out of bed, either way no ones judging you; it's really a chill place to unwind! They have a juke box where you can download an app to your phone and play songs from your seat which is the best because if you put on a song no one knows it was you LOL! Food/Drink/Price: For decent prices, they have a pretty good food and drink menu! Buckets range anywhere from 12+ depending on the liquor you get of course. I've had their shrimp parm on a roll, french fries, onion rings and rice with shrimp; all pretty good! My favorite drink is the ringside relax and call and Uber. Parking: Ringside has a small lot in the front and back. I suggest, on busier days, to take the street behind ringside to check the lot in the back first then if you don't find anything you can make your way to the front of the lot. Therefore, you're not going all the way around because it is a one way street. If you don't have luck there, you can park across the street where White Mana is. Service: Bartenders are always nice and have fun with you. On busier nights it is hard to even get their attention. Like I stated above, if you sit in the back you may get lost in the mix. Just order at the bar TBH. Tip: If you pay with card and your total is under $20 they will charge you $1.

this my go to spot always!! buckets never fail no matter which one you get & food is a1. love ring side!

I spent a lot of my younger 20s here hanging out. Great bar. Friendly staff that treat u like family once they see you a few times. Manny is awesome! The drinks here are huge. Come in a container with lots of alcohol! Huge menu of drinks with interesting names! The food here is good also and most don't know that or forget but if ur from the area u def know!!!! I order take out a lot! Garlic shrimp is my fave, every once in a while the shrimp are tough but I chalk it up to being very busy. I still come back and it's perfect the next time. U can give them a gentle reminder when u order not to over cook. Overall great spot to hang out. Some weekend nights it can get hectic and parking lot gets crowded. I prefer to come on a weeknight now that I'm older and boring lol.

It was the absolute perfect way to close out my first visit to the East Coast. The original plan was going to be dinner somewhere else, but time had pushed us past our reservation. We decided on The Highwood since it was open late and let's face it, who would refuse the view of the NYC skyline? It was a wonderful evening to dine out on the patio and the service was excellent. We ordered our food and drinks and has great conversation. We did not have any complaints about any of the food or drink items. The chicken sandwich that I ordered was very filling. The french fries had a nice crisp to them on the outside and I especially liked the garnish on top. Dressed up fries are sexy fries! We were there for a good while, but the staff was very friendly and didn't try to kick us out or anything. We were one of the last ones to leave, but they were all so nice. I would definitely come back here again. You should check it out if you haven't already. I highly recommend sitting outside as you will marvel at the view across the street! Prices aren't bad and they ha e a broad selection of dishes to choose from. EnJOY your visit!

Labor Day after 9pm in Hudson County-and many restaurants and their kitchens had already closed…read moreearly for the holiday. But three friends, craving yummy eats, strong drinks, and fun vibes, refused to call it a night. Luckily, The Highwood was still open until midnight-just what we needed to kick off our late night yap~ This is an elevated sports bar with waterfront views of Midtown Manhattan, directly across the street from the Port Imperial Ferry Terminal. Metered street parking is limited in the area, but there's a garage attached to the building. Even though it's a few steps above your typical divey sports bar, the overall atmosphere is still pretty casual. There's plenty of seating, whether you want to sit at the main bar, in leather booths, at high tops, or outside on the patio. With over 30 TVs, this is a hot spot to catch a game, from football and UFC fights to the World Cup. You definitely don't have to come dressed to impress, but there's a dress code. It's nothing too serious, more like "stylish sportswear or casual sophistication". Interpret that as you will lol. The restaurant wasn't busy, so we were able to sit wherever we wanted. We chose the outdoor patio, where we had a view of that iconic NYC skyline that we never get tired of having in our backyard. The menu mixes classic pub grub with more upscale dishes-pizza, wings, burgers, sushi, steak, seafood, and more. We started off with some drinky drinks and, of course, took full advantage of the $8 Martini Monday deal... DUH ;) We got lychee & espresso martinis, which were *chef's kiss* I loved the balance of vodka and lychee in mine--sweet and strong! They brew their espresso in-house, so no pre-made mix nonsense here. For our main dishes, we ordered: *Highwood Burger $24 (smashed double patty, aged cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, dill pickles, and burger sauce on a brioche bun) with side of sweet potato fries *Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich $23 (Southern fried chicken thigh, pecanwood smoked bacon, maple chipotle sauce, lettuce, and dill pickles on a sesame brioche bun) with side of fries *Bluefin Tuna Tartare $22 (diced bluefin tuna, scallions, avocado, mango, sesame seeds, furikake, yuzu ponzu, and rice-nori chips) No major complaints-everything was generally on point. My friends enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich and tuna; both were tasty and good quality. I just wish my burger patties were juicier! Service was friendly and quick. Since it was a quiet night, I appreciated that the staff didn't rush us out even though we closed the place down LOL. Shoutout to the management and staff for working and staying open late on a holiday! Final thoughts... Honestly, there are other bars in the area with better food, but The Highwood is still a solid option. The food didn't blow me away, but it's a great choice if you want a mix of bar grub and elevated dishes. There are still plenty of reasons to come back-game days, weekend brunch, late-night DJs, and drinks with a view. Why not all of the above? Highwood... you passed the vibe check! This was the perfect way to cap off the holiday weekend with friends! Now I'm curious to see what this place is like when the crowd and energy are turned ALLLLLLLL the way up!
