    Tallarin Chino Mixto

I called in the morning to place mine and a friend's order ahead so that it would be ready for a certain hour. I was meeting a friend and I only had so much time for my lunch break. They delivered so well! Our server was very kind. Although he was working the whole floor by himself he was very composed. They were relatively quiet but it really shows that they're busy and a popular choice for lunch. The flavor to this tallarin is so good! Ask for the sauces although it doesn't really need it but it's still good to have options. I couldn't stop eating. I literally had to remind myself that I had to go back to work quickly. I'm hoping to come again soon when I have no time constraints. The only other thing I've tried before was the Ceviche Mixto and the plantains and that too was amazing!!

We were driving down Franklin Avenue in Hartford and trying to decide between Italian or Latin. We decided we'd take a card left on Park Street, but we remembered that on a similar ride we noticed El Rinconcito PERUANO (hey Yelp, you have the name wrong) and decided that we should go by and see if they were open. A very quaint interior, the place was empty, but they had a TV on featuring a concert. Music was definitely great! It was a little after 6 and realize we're in a pandemic, but we wondered why the place wasn't busy... WELL... Busy or Empty-has nothing to do with the food. In fact, we're unsure if we want everyone to come here and take our space. The food came out quickly, and we were salivating! We ordered: bistec encebellado , Chaufa mixto and platanos maduros. Heaven was in every.bite. The food was FRESH!! The Chaufa mixto had beef, chicken and shrimp. We were pleasantly surprised that bean sprouts were thrown in and in speaking with our server he spoke a little about the Asian influence on Peruvian cuisine, which we loved. The bistec came with potatoes that we think were boiled and then lightly fried-magnificent! The platanos Maduros made us wonder if they were prepared in an air fryer: the tenderness, texture, sweetness were perfection. There were 2 condiments: a hot sauce and a green one that we neglected to get the name of BUT because we will be back, we will not only order again, but also make sure to get extra green sauce!! Cost: $$ Service: 10/10 We loved our server who greeted us in Spanish and gave us some history. Drinks: 9/10- it's only a 9/10 because we had a coke and Inca cola which isn't organic of the business. So we're actually rating those vendor brands :) So this place was definitely a win and we can't wait to be back!!

Acrylic nail found inside the food. Called to complaint and they acknowledged the possibility of a nail falling on the food. Disgusting and unacceptable.

This is hands down one of the BEST Peruvian Restaurants my Husband and I have experienced. The i side of this place is beautiful (includes fancy chandeliers), food fantastic, and lovely Peruvian music played the entire time. Also, our Waiter Flavio was professional, cheerful and offered impeccable Customer Service. Five Stars!

A very nice restaurant with an excellent service. Our waiter was very attentive and very respectful and the food wasn't that good. I came because I saw the total of 4 stars but this place doesn't deserve it. The food is just okay nothing exceptional. I was in shock that my Lomo Saltado was ready in a couple of minutes, the food was very dry and I guess it wasn't fresh. Papá a la huancaina was flavorless, no chicha morada.... I won't comeback here, I definitely don't recommend this place.

Another clean my plate type of place!!! This was Papa a la Huancaina and it was definitely one of the best things I've ever eaten! Great service and full of local friendly faces. Sweet Plantains are a must have when you order! Joseph was working the whole floor alone and did a great job! If you are in town, stop by... if you are local, please take advantage of this gem.

We stopped by with my family because we were driving by and saw it while in Hartford. We had never been/ seen it but the nice waitress told us they had been around for about three years. The waitress was very sweet and we went on a rainy day and there were only about four families us included in the restaurant. The food was okay. I gave it four stars because it was well seasoned but it came out a little cold and we ordered Anticucho con Rachi but as you see got regular anticuchos which we were fine with until we realized we got charged the up charge for the Rachi we didn't get. We had to run so we just left it as is. I do have to say their ahi verde or green sauce is second to none! By far the best I've had. The restaurant itself seems small until you realize there is a whole ballroom that could be rented in the back. One final thing to keep in mind is that the tip and tax are included in the bill! We saw 16 and change added to the bill and CT taxes are high but not that high so the waitress told us that service was included in that.

That said, it was clearly busy, so I would definitely recommend making a reservation on peak nights--we got lucky. The service was excellent from start to finish. Our waiters were very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Portions are generous. The cheesy bread appetizer is a must-order--warm and perfect for sharing I ordered the cod and salmon, and both were absolutely delicious, cooked well and full of flavor. The wine selection is also strong, with plenty of good options to pair with the meal. Overall, a great Italian spot with great food, service, and atmosphere. I would happily go back.

Classy without being stuffy. Comfortable without losing its polish. Our server, Jayleen, was fantastic. Attentive, friendly, and somehow always there at exactly the right moment. We were never rushed, never forgotten - truly service sorcery. Oh yeah - a shout-out to Nick, one of the managers, who stopped by our table a couple of times to check in and make sure everything was perfect. That kind of attention doesn't go unnoticed. Now to the food. Every single thing we had was a 10/10, no debate. And the bacon appetizer? That deserves its own review. It single-handedly pushed the experience into 20/10 territory and may have ruined lesser bacon for me forever. Great service, great food, great vibe. The clam chowder was just as good, thick and loaded with flavor and ingredients in every bite. The grilled octopus with potatoes was a standout -- perfectly tender (not rubbery at all) and packed with flavor. Oysters were fresh, crisp, and just straight up delicious. For the main, the paella was -- rich, loaded with seafood (shrimp, scallops, calamari, mussels, clams), and cooked perfectly. Paired it with a light beer which helped cut through the richness and kept everything balanced. Service was on point and the ambiance made it a great overall experience. They used to have "simply prepared" on the menu that was just the fish, with seasonings and complementary sides. That's gone from the menu. It was always perfectly prepared and complimentary to whatever fish you were having. Last night, that changed for me. I have noticed over my last few visits a change in the restaurant. At first, I thought it was just my tastes changing, but last night proved me wrong. I had the "North Atlantic Swordfish Saltimbooca". The description was "Proccuitto, mozzaella cheese, sage mascarpone, white polenta". Polenta is usually soft, with the fish on top. This was polenta soup, with the fish literally swimming in it. In addition, it was greasy. There was a lot of oil around the side. And on top of that, the mozzarella formed a rather nasty hard cheese coating on the fish that I removed to the side with my fork. It was one of the most unappetizing things I've had in a long time. The swordfish was completely lost; no flavor at all. After a few bites, I gave up on it. I also noticed that drinks have gotten smaller. I ordered a martini. It used to be quite generous (it is a $16 drink after all). The glass last night was much smaller, at the same price. The wine was good, but that was about it. VERY DISAPPOINTING. I should have gone with the Fish and Chips! Hard to mess that up.
