Absolutely amazing, as always! The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is top-notch, and the Peruvian food is incredible. My Fettuccine a la Huancaína was rich, creamy, and full of flavor, the ceviche was perfectly fresh and delicious, and the drinks were spot on. Definitely one of my favorite places for authentic Peruvian cuisine!

First I'll start with the look of the interior. Very beautiful decor. Second I'll describe the food. I ordered the Lomo saltado which is what I always get in Peruvian restaurants. While it was good, it wasn't the best I've had. For $38 I wish the portion would be a little bigger. I came here for happy hour also and got 2 drinks, the drinks were pretty good! $8 each. The food options on the happy hour seemed ok but nothing caught my eye. The other dish was a trio sampler with the fried rice, calamari and cerviche. Pretty decent. Had the tres leches for dessert, was good too but I've had better.

Flawless experience here. It was our anniversary so they gave us a dessert with a candle on it. The inside looks fancy and the lighting gives it a great ambiance. My favorite items would have to be the ribeye and plantains. Everything was cooked to perfection and the green sauce that came with it was perfect for all the foods. The prices are reasonable as well which is a huge plus. I highly recommend the Ribeye here. We had a great time here!

I came here for a holiday dinner. This place was amazing in addition to the authentic food. Affordable prices and good drinks. I recommend and I will be returning with my family.

Amazing service, food, drinks and atmosphere. Mancora is a stunning new Peruvian cuisine Restobar and it was perfect from start to finish. Natalia our server was out of this world! She really took care of us and I felt like a princess being wined and dined with such delicious food and drinks. I loved the ceviche trio appetizers. They were so flavorful and fresh. And the Mancora tower with fried calamari, yucca fries, fried mussels and fish was just so beautiful and so yummy. But my tastebuds were the happiest with the fettuccine topped with filet, onions and grape tomatoes. This dish was absolutely divine! Dessert was spectacular too! A tres leches cake was just the right amount of sweetness I needed to end a fabulous meal and evening. I highly recommend Mancora! Best Peruvian restaurant in CT!

Date night comes around and we roll the dice on someplace we've never tried before. First off, Mancora is gorgeous! If you're looking to get some good photos in, this is a good pick. We are quickly seated (which is why Monday nights are the best date nights!) and our server places canchita (Peruvian "popcorn") with a tasty sauce. We find out later from the server instructing the couple in the next table that people just dump the sauce in, while I wasted my time dipping individual kernels. It never hurts to ask! My wife orders the Rib Eye a lo Pobre (rib eye served with white rice, fried egg, French fries and plantains. Definitely carb heavy, but I helped her out! I ordered the Mancora Tower - on top was the jalea, which was a mix of fried seafood topped with red onions, and below is a nice bowl of ceviche, lined with 3 mussels topped with more ceviche toppings. It also came with two shots of tiger milk, which I had a taste of, and again it was more of the same acid/sour taste. My only regret is that I ordered fried calamari as an app (which was delicious, but my entree already had plenty of fried deliciousness). While the meal was fantastic, I wouldn't get this entree again as it's very acid forward. For dessert, we split the Choco Lucuma - I can't even begin to describe the flavor nor point at a lucuma in a line up, but it is good. I loved the interesting texture, which was like a firm cheesecake. If you're looking to be adventurous, definitely give Mancora a look!

What a lovely surprise! My sister made reservations for our mother's birthday on a Monday, and even though the place was a bit quiet, we had an absolutely wonderful experience. The service was top-notch--one server was really running the show, and even with about four tables to manage, she was super attentive and incredibly friendly. The food was just spectacular. We kicked things off with the Máncora tower, which included jalea, ceviche, oysters, and two shots of leche de tigre. We also ordered the Bistec a lo pobre, featuring a delicious ribeye served with french fries, white rice, an egg, and sweet plantain. For dessert, we indulged in cheesecake and churros. The decor is so chic and totally Instagram-worthy! I had an amazing time and I can't wait to come back!

5 Stars! I cannot say enough good things about Mancora in Hartford! I came in during happy hour and it was the best decision ever. I wanted to get a real taste of Peru, and the happy hour menu made that easy -- and absolutely delicious. I ordered the Anticuchos, fried calamari, causa, and the ceviche sampler. Every single dish was outstanding! The Anticuchos were super tender and packed with smoky flavor. The calamari was perfectly crispy and light, not greasy at all. The causa was beautifully presented and had the perfect balance of textures and flavors. And the ceviche sampler? Fresh, vibrant, and full of bold, citrusy goodness -- hands down some of the best ceviche I've had. The vibe inside Mancora is lively but still cozy, and the service was excellent -- friendly and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell the kitchen puts a lot of love and authenticity into every plate. If you're craving something different and seriously delicious, definitely check this place out. Mancora is a true hidden gem in Hartford and I can't wait to come back!

I came to Màncora for the first time tonight with my family and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. We started with the Ceviche De Pescado which was delicious, so flavorful and fresh. For my main I ordered the Jalea Piurana. The seafood was tender and presentation was beautiful. The drinks were also delicious! This was our first time trying Peruvian cuisine as we like to hop around and always try new places. We were very pleased with our experience here, and the atmosphere was delightful. Our server Julio was very attentive in taking care of us and giving us direction with the menu. Definitely a restaurant we will visit again!

A coworker raved about the delicious food at Máncora, so I knew where my friend and I would go for lunch this weekend. Máncora is a Peruvian restaurant that is located on the Wethersfield line of Hartford. I don't know about you, but as soon as I hear "Peru" or "Peruvian" I don't think of the adorable and very fluffy llamas, I immediately think of Ceviche! I love ceviche, but I very rarely have it. When we arrived at Máncora we were the first ones. It is pretty fancy inside. It is super clean, modern, fresh and new looking. Our waiter was very patient and knowledgeable about all the ins and outs of the menu. You didn't have to ask me twice, I knew what I was getting long before I saw the menu. But first, we got served cancha, crunchy deep fried corn. We decided to share Ceviche De Pescado and the Quinoa Salad. The ceviche was so light and refreshing. It was very acidic and lemony, with a substantial amount of tilapia, corn, cancha and sweet potatoes. The Quinoa Salad was also very light and refreshing, with a generous serving of avocado, tomato, greens and of course Quinoa. It was very fresh and colorful! We didn't look at the dessert menu this time, but I'm sure their Tres Leches is incredible! We had a great time chatting and enjoying the delicious food at Máncora!

Oh my god . This place does not have enough recognition ! I love their food ! I haven't had a bad meal here yet and the service is so quick and attentive ! I had a girls dinner here and we took photos right in front of their sign. The ambiance is perfect for a special occasion dinner you will not regret it !

Tacu Tacu En Salsa De Mariscos y seco d/pato

Impressed with the ambiance, far more elegant than expected at the price point of entrees. Typical Peruvian offerings were split on: Passion Fruit Pisco Sour and chicha morada were both refreshing, fresh ceviché and causa de pollo were solid choices for appetizer. Our entrees were good, a duck entree and the special of Saturdays, tacu tacu - bean, rice and egg casserole adjacent to a creamy mix of shrimp, squid, fish and cheese. A nice treat while visiting the nearby Volleyball Hall of Fame.

We ordered a bunch of food and it didn't take too long to come out, we had multiple rounds of drinks and the pacing on refills was also good. The main problem was the food. Most of the food was ok. I ordered lomo saltado a lo pobre and my husband ordered chupe de camarones. My dish was pretty good. The steak and eggs were over cooked unfortunately but again the meal was fine. My husband's chupe however was really not good. The shrimp was very overcooked, the broth was bland and oily and thin. He ate his egg and left the rest alone. All the dishes were pretty expensive so we asked to have our soup comped but we were told we could not because the waitress asked twice is everything was OK and my husband didn't say anything til the end (although I feel that if someone isn't touching their food it's usually a sign). Feels like a strange rule but i did honestly deduct 1 star because of this. The menu is large and expensive, so it does feel like a gamble if something is that bad but we still cant get 1 in 7 entrees comped. We are a peruvian family (6 adults) and we all felt similarly.

Thing is, this is a place that's making lemonade out of lemons. The staff are extremely friendly, the food service took a while but they kept the bread stocked. The breads this dense but soft inside. Kind of like a soft pretzel without the salt. When the food does come, it's awesome! Everything brought the flavor, nothing was under seasoned and the portions were large. Tacos were stacked with perfectly braised beef with ample toppings which all had a distinct and pronounced flavor. The chiveche was piled high with a limey, salty, savory bite. The fish was fresh, and the fried octopus was perfectly crisp and tender. The crepe was well executed, but it was kind of general. Bananas and Nutella, not much to say.
