Security typically moves the lines very quick and merch is available when you first get in the venue. Every show I've been to has just been general admission so when you walk into the stage room, it's pretty big. There are two bars available and it's cute that they typically have specialty drinks that coincide with the artist's music. Shows here tend to be cheaper, but I think it is because the artist who performed here are typically a bit smaller but it's always a great time.

There is a bar in the back and additional seating in a balcony area. There really isn't a bad seat in the house, and both times I went the tickets were less than $50. The process to get inside is a bit disorganized, but everyone is doing their best. The acoustics are nice. The challenges are far more plentiful. The stage is unusually high - which means the front row is likely incredibly uncomfortable with kinked necks unless they stand the entire show. The seats are unbelievably close to each other - so much so that we saw people forfeit their seats because they couldn't fit into the row. If someone needs to exit the row, everyone must get up and move out of the row due to limited room. (Men- do not stand and make women slide past you. That's gross.) A little more effort could go into the experience, for instance, there was very little room at the stage for people to dance during The English Beat. I think it's important for any theatre to understand who they're hosting and how the crowd enjoys the music. Overall, the performance was great, but the theatre could use some adjusting. I wouldn't return unless it was a must see.

It was probably the hand painted art inside with red curtains adorning them. I have to day the photos were quite captivating. Makes the place seem more inviting. The guys at the front were nice. I was rocking Malibu and pineapple all night. Heavy handed with the pour, thanks, but still had flavor. The show was set up with chairs. Thanks for the option but I wanted to stand. People did what they wanted but it was nice that a dance floor area right in front of the stage was left open for when Kid Charlemagne hit! Large bathroom, pretty clean. 2 bars and a little entry way for long lines getting in or a smoking area. Great size for an intimate show.

What's behind the Green Door?…read more Well, I remember a song from my childhood called "Green Door" -it had a honky-tonk piano sound and I kind of remember it got some radio play in the early '60s. I also remember there was a porno movie named "Behind the Green Door". It was a big deal in 1972 and "starred" Marilyn Chambers -the Ivory Snow girl. Fast Forward to today. What's Behind the Green Door up in Collinsville, CT? A very nice restaurant known as the Green Door Restaurant. It's the house restaurant at Bridge Street Live - a music and entertainment venue on the Farmington River in the funky little town of Collinsville. We had dinner at the Green Door tonight and had a pretty favorable experience. We sat outside on the deck and enjoyed a pretty view of the River and enjoyed a singer and his acoustic guitar. So what kind of food might one find behind their Green Door? The menu had seven appetizers ranging from a $6 soup to an $18 Charcuterie Board, three salads ranging from $10 to $14 with a protein add-on between $8-$10 more, five sandwiches with a side for $13 or $14, six personal pizzas ($10-$15), and eight entrees ranging from $14 - $34. We shared a Hummus platter ($10) served with pita wedges, grape tomatoes, carrot and celery sticks, and broccoli florets. The hummus with Roasted Red Pepper was very good, the veggies were cold and crisp, and the pita bread was soft and warm. Not a bad value for ten bucks, but the actual amount of hummus wasn't very generous. I ordered one of the entrees - a Seared Sesame Ahi Tuna Bowl for $18. It was a big serving of six tuna slices with red quinoa & buckwheat, maybe two dozen crispy chickpeas, shaved carrots, sliced avocado, and arugula with a herb lemon dressing. The dish tasted great and was a pretty good value, considering the large serving. We also ordered a Reuben Sandwich ($14) of shaved corned beef, Thousand Island dressing, house made sauerkraut, and Fontina cheese, on Marbled Rye. The sandwich tasted great (especially the bread) but the weak link was the quantity of corned beef - not nearly enough. My Diet Coke $3 and that price speaks for itself -it was high. Our modest dinner ran around $47 (after tax) and I didn't really feel our overall value was there. Yes, the view was nice, the service was friendly, and the menu was varied. If you're attending a show at Bridge Street, it does make a lot of sense to eat here as a convenience. Otherwise, I'm not really convinced to go through that Green Door again.

The Festival grounds (located in Riverfront Park) was enormous. There was a big midway with amusement rides and games, plenty of food trucks, three stages of live music, craft and clothing vendors, a petting zoo, a pub, ice cream stands, apple pies and fritters, and even a 5k Road Race for tomorrow. We had such a fun time, just strolling the grounds, checking out all the food options. We eventually settled on a plate of Tofu Pad Thai and dumplings from Siam. We also picked up a 6-piece order of Apple Fritters and split that between three apple and three pumpkin. I also had a nice visit to the at the Pan De Oro booth and learned they make salsa and tortilla chips right in Hartford! Who knew? We parked at the high school and took a shuttle bus to the gate. Admission was $5 per person. Sure beats the crowded Southington Apple Festival in our opinion.
