Went here because they dropped off a menu a few days ago and I didn't bring lunch and it was near by BUT I didn't eat in rather I ordered by the lil cafe window a crema of vegetables soup because I live soups and I'm always cold in the office the soup was not a crema but rather a Chucky texture and the Taste of broccoli was way overpowering it's suppose to be a vegetable soup not good , I ordered a tamale , and a carne empanada again not bad but definitely not that great I had ordered to go I waited a good 35 mins not good the parking lot is full So you also got to wait for a parking space overall not happy I'm not sure I'll go back ‍ read more

I don't know how this restaurant usually is when they're fully open outside of the covid-19 situation, but I just ordered a to go order from there and it was atrocious and overpriced. First of all, the Cuban sandwich is not a traditional Cuban sandwich. It doesn't come with pickles or mustard and instead comes with chorizo. It tasted far worst than a traditional Cuban. It came to me cold, also. I ate it as soon as I got in the car and it was cold and tasteless. The croquettas de jamon were also cold and some of the blandest tasting croquettas I've ever had. I thought surely that the rice, beans, and maduros would make up for it, but I was wrong. The meduros were also not only bland, but the slimiest and grossest texture I've ever had the misfortune of experiencing. The beans were mediocre . Not only that, I asked them if they included silverware in the bag and they told me that they did, but I had to drive all the way back to inform them that there was no silverware in the bag. I had even tipped them and spent an astonishing $33 on one of the worst meals I've had in a long time. I haven't reviewed in a while, but felt the need to prevent others from being duped by the inflated and deceptive four and a half star rating they have. I've realized that every time I come to Miami, there are just so many options to choose when it comes to Latin cuisine. After strolling the mall, I looked for somewhere to dine in close around the area and decided on Rincocito's. Going inside, the restaurant had a good amount of seating and decent amount of waiters. I ordered the pollo a la criolla (half chicken with criolla sauce) for $10.95. With this being said, diving into the pros, tonight's service was impeccable, the dinner portion was tremendous, and the food tasted great (chicken had extremely crispy exterior and was tender on the inside). As with my cons, I think a fresh hot sauce rather than the tobacco would've complemented the meal greatly, and found it was a bit confusing ordering since most of the staff spoke Spanish and little English. This was the first time visiting this restaurant and I must say I was impressed. I've driven by hundreds of times but today I decided to check it out. First they have an outside sitting area that although faces the parking lot they have tall green plants surrounding the area and very well covered with an awning giving a nice shade from the sun. As we walked in we were greeting with a nice welcome and please sit where you would like. Immediately a young lady brought us utensils, water and a menu. The restaurant is very spacious, has a rustic look but modern it does not look rundown or old. The mural on the wall takes you to Cuba. Although I am not Cuban I have visited. The food was fresh, well cooked and the service on point. Shortly after bringing us our food the waitress followed up to make sure the food was to our standard. Rinconcito 107 Latino is my favorito is a great place to go, and it fit in to you're rushed up day and specially if you're in the craves for Cuban food. Well what i always decided to get for my meal is: " masas de puerco which comes with two sides which I normally get it with moro and tostones or yuca frita! But I also discovered another plate which is now my number one to go too is fired fish chunks with lemon on the side and the same sides from the first dish mentioned. Their prices aren't bad at all their are a regular cost of a meal that you get anywhere else in a Cuban cruise it various from $20 and up depending and they also have specials for the whole week. About parking you have more than enough parking spaces to station you're vehicle! { it's in a pretty big shopping center }. Restaurant is right across FIU engineering center. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is friendly. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner they can easily whip up a Cuban warm meal upon your request and serve it with a smile in an instant. It's on the northern and of the FIU area and directly west of their engineering center so I'm sure the great food and low prices attract students seeking a warm homemade meal. They happened to poach my egg so perfectly that it deserves to be featured in a magazine. It was Sixt yet firm at the sane time while the white was still intact and not watery. The mariquitas are freshly made served nice and thin with a crunch factor that can't be replicated. The OJ is fresh so order a talking glass for breakfast and you won't be dissatisfied. The Vaca Frita is so on point, it's a solid lunch or dinner entree that you can never go wrong with. I went there for lunch today with 3 co workers. They brought out the food it looked less than appetizing. There was a worm like bug on the plate a brushed it off. Then opened the napkin there was another smaller worn crawling. Told the server she said I'll tell the manager. Well the manager never came not an apology nothing at all. On my way to the airport leaving Miami, I decided to drop in to Rinconcito 107 Latino and grab a bite to eat of authentic Cuban food rather than eat at the airport. I could not have been happier with the choice! The early dinner experience started with Carlos outside of the restaurant greeting us before we even walked in the door. When we sat down, we told him we were had a plane to catch but wanted a quick bite. Before opening the menu, I had my mind set on a Cuban sandwich, but the Ropa Vieja sounded fantastic. I asked Carlos which dish he preferred between the two, and he brought out a sample to let me make up my own mind! You RARELY get that kind of service anywhere- the Ropa Vieja was as good as my Abuela's homemade recipe, but I ended up going with the Cuban sandwich- it was a huge portion size and flavor was perfect. As my colleague and I were talking after finishing our meals, Carlos reminded us we had a flight to catch- we had lost track of time! BEST PART- as I was dropping the rental car off at the airport, I realized I left my credit card at the restaurant. I called the restaurant, talked to Carlos, and right away he asked for my address and said he would ship it to me, no problem! In an instance where I normally would have had to cancel my card, update all of my accounts with the new ones, I totally avoided that hassle because of the insane service and care for their customers this restaurant has.
