Luckily I found this place and saw they were open, so decided to call. Service came out within an hour or two and fixed the issue! However our unit is old and a bandaid didn't do the trick. We wound up needed a whole new unit after getting a few opinions/looking at financing options. Throughout this process, Delfera was so understanding and communicative. More than anything they were incredibly patient. They were able to replace the unit only a few days after we told them we were ready which was incredible! The whole process took a day since we had the furnace replaced too. When they were done installing the owner came by to make sure everything was done correctly and brought us chocolate covered pretzels. We were SO pleased with this customer service from start to finish and will absolutely recommend them to anyone in the area.

I really wanted to like these guys. They have 4.9 stars on Google but less on here. It must be that…read moreGoogle allows companies to pay to remove reviews. I have had these guys out here 4 different times and have gotten 4 different diagnosis. They came out in May and replaced my AC blower. Then when it was still not blowing cool air in June, I had them come out for a cleaning. They clean the system and then a month later it's not blowing cool air again. So they come out and tell me I need a new system. I rejected this so I had them come out a 4th time to do a full system diagnostic. I thought I was getting that with the clean I paid for a month earlier. I would have thought that would be the first thing they would do. Well...after the diagnostic, I come to find out that the whole problem was a dirty filter. I never replaced it. I swore I did, but I guess I messed up. I am not the professional though. The professionals should have caught this on day 1 when they replaced the blower motor. Or at least, they definitely should have figured this out when doing the cleaning in June. I honestly believe that they were just trying to make me feel like my AC was beat so that they could sell me a new system. The neglect doesn't just stop at not replacing or even taking notice of the filter, it gets worse. After the 4th service call last week, I go down the basement and noticed that the air filter is the wrong size by several inches. I ended up having to pay that guy 13$ for the filter. If it's 13$ it should fit right. You think they could of tossed that in after they kept screwing me, but no. The real funny thing was that they didn't even bother to clean the air intake. It was so caked and matted with dust and b.s. that hardly any air can pass through to the machine. How was this not a part of the cleaning. They also wanted to charge me an additional 6 hundred to clean dirty coils and interior parts. I am confused as to why this would be separate from the original cleaning and why was I not told about this before. never the less, tech #4 showed me pictures of the inside of my dirty system. So either that wasn't part of the original cleaning or it wasn't done properly in June. I will tell you that I am excited to not need a new system just yet. It is nearing its time but it truly feels that this company was just trying to speed up the process. I am including a picture of the dirty intake vent. Am I supposed to clean that myself? Really, I'm asking an honest question ? Should that be part of a system clean? If so, your technicians aren't working thoroughly. If not, then at the very least, take notice and tell me about the problem. I even emailed them a picture of this vent that was left like this. They tire of me because they already got my money. Delfera for the loss!

We were very fortunate to have our heating system break down, but able to be maintained heavily…read morewhile we shopped around with time on our side for a new system. We got 4 estimates in total. In all honesty, the prices were not super far off - the recommendations, or lack of were the biggest variable between all of our proposals. This is kind of long, but like others have mentioned, the experience was so good that I wanted to make sure to take the time to give this feedback. 1. Borden was the only one who recommended a chimney liner in our new system. Which is important in the newer 84% because the temps are not as high as they used to be. But even more important in the 90% model where the water heater would be an orphaned appliance. Which is actually a pretty serious safety concern. 2. Borden was also the only one who recommended a new expansion tank and offered to cut back to the steel one if we wanted to shave a little off of the price. A number of places i looked said that the amount of new installs they see using an older tank is mind boggling. And there are numerous benefits to the new style including eliminating air, rather than just controlling it. 3. Borden was the only one to add more options ala carte, especially the outdoor reset option. I really appreciate the flexibility your proposal offers. 4. Borden was the only one who actually opened the boiler to make sure they saw it was leaking etc. Everyone else heard "new boiler", saw dollar signs and that was about it. 5. Borden was also the only owner to come out! Which i think is extra important when it's one of these big jobs where you are not only trying to get the customer set up with a good system, but start a relationship for service and maintainability in the future. Mission Accomplished. Finally, they took tons of time with me explaining how each component would be installed, and a very thoughtful and insightful explanation into why you recommend those pieces. Not at all in a pushy sales way. I'm really excited about our new system and it just so happens today is the coldest day of the year and we have invaluable peace of mind! It also looks like a work of art - the company absolutely takes pride in their craft and it shows.

My wife and I bought a house in Havertown, PA while living in California. My local parents…read moreinformed me that the A/C was not working. My wife and I engaged with Borden as the unit is a Bosch and not all A/C companies service the brand. My wife gave the receptionist her credit card number and asked her to fix any issues and/or perform routine maintenance. She made this request because we did not trust my parents that the A/C was not working (user error more likely). We did not hear from Borden on the day of scheduled service. The next day my wife told me her credit card was billed $1200. Via text or email, the technician explained that my parents were using the wrong thermostat. The technician proceeded to place a float safety at the secondary drain pan and also recommended adding another return to the unit. He charged 300 dollars an hour for labor. His half hour drive was also billed at 300 dollars an hour. Let me be very clear. There was nothing wrong with the unit. My parents did not see a second thermostat. The technician then did 1200 dollars of work without consulting us. A float switch installation should not take 2 and a half hours by an expert. Three hundred dollars an hour is an expert wage. To top it off, a week or so later, our painter informed us the A/C was not working. My wife found a different company. That technician found that the float safety valve turned the unit off. The drain pan was full (good job Borden). When he purged the drain line, he found expected sludge and also PVC shavings and glue. So... Borden did a good job installing a float valve, but the shoddy workmanship contributed to a blockage. The new company charged $150 to clear the line. If I could give Borden zero stars, I would. I don't begrudge anyone trying to making a buck, but I certainly will never do business with them again.

They installed a vent-less AC (the blower is in the bedroom and the condenser is in the yard) in my attic bedroom and took the extra time to ensure that the copper pipe was one solid piece - so they had to bend it about 6 different ways to get it installed. It took extra time but the quality is always first. They had repaired my heater after another heating company over charged me and it still did not work. At the time I asked if I should put in a new system and he said that he could fix what the other heater company could not and get it to last a few more years with out any fuss. When my house central AC final died, they installed an high efficiency heater and AC that will cool and heat my house way better than the old and they did it for a few thousand less than the gas company offered. These guys have done work from friends of mine as well and thy have been pleased. I highly recommend these guys if you have any Heating or AC issues.

Now you could have told me I needed a new water heater and I would have believed it without question, since it's 10 years old. I'm certain that a less reputable business would have done exactly that. Not S&E. When the thing does go for good I know who I will call. Highly recommend!

I wish I could give them TEN STARS! I cannot say enough great things about Middletown HVAC!!!…read more I provide more details below but the summary is that Middletown HVAC cares for your home like it is their own - such excellent and honest service! Bryan came out to our home twice during a snow storm to ensure our heat was taken care of. That is a level of kindness and commitment I have never seen before! We have a brand new HVAC system that is about 1 year old (installed by a big HVAC company - worst mistake we could have made). The unit has stopped working at least 4 times since its installation so I finally called Middletown HVAC yesterday because it stopped working again. I called at midnight and Bryan (HVAC expert) was at our house in less than 30 minutes! He installed a new thermostat and went on to another house for a repair. Mind you, a snow storm is coming and he was out repairing units for families until almost 2:45am! The next day we realized the new thermostat stopped working, which is indication that something was wrong with our initial HVAC install (done by another company). It is the middle of a snow storm and Bryan had a SNOW PLOW bring him back to our house in the morning to fix the issue. It turns out the prior company incorrectly wired the unit and the thermostat was frying itself. Bryan ordered the new part we needed, fixed the wiring issue and turned off the fuse to the HVAC to avoid a potential fire. He was so kind and explained every step of the repair and the issues he identified. Other companies said they couldn't send techs out for several days but Middletown HVAC had Bryan out twice in the snow! I honestly feel like they care for their customers' homes as if their own families lived there, which is such a rare thing to see!

Their responsiveness made me feel like this is a project I want to hand to them plus their price quote was better than everyone else that got back to me. They quoted me $125 while everyone else had tossed $200-300 ballpark. We scheduled on my few days off so none of us would have to rush through this maintenance. I texted to confirm whether they were still coming down 24 hours prior to our appointment. No response. So I texted them again the same day to make sure he was still coming down. He finally responded and apologize. Then told me he'll be there in the afternoon. Mind you, we are a little further from each other but if the distance was a problem, he could've told me and I would've went with other options but again, the schedule was set. So I was already expecting him. It was starting to get late and still nothing back yet, so I texted again and ask if he would like to reschedule? He finally got back and said yes to rescheduling so since he seems busy, I told him to get back to me at his earliest convenience. It's now February 10th. Our date was January 26th. I still haven't heard from him yet. Not only did I feel like this was a bad tinder date, now the problem that I had with my water heater just became worst. The issue was a burnt smell from the water heater that requires a professional flushing. Now so it's prolonged some more, the heater has burnt right through. It went from a flushing to a whole replacement. I'm giving them one star for flaking out. Should've been more straight forward about not wanting to take the job because my $200-300 maintenance issue just sky rocket into well over $1000. Edit: It looks like the owner has responded and no, I'm not changing my review because there was a scheduling problem. I gave the company the right of way to give me a date because they seem like the busy one and I told them my complete date. I was waiting for them to get back to me about the date. When I hand a job to someone, I'm not going to look around until the company calls me and say that they cannot take the job. I was under the impression that they were still coming around. I have text messages that provide my communication process and the companies responsiveness. I'm not going to show it or anything because it's unprofessional. What else I find unprofessional is when a company text you after you wrote the review with a snarky tone, like I was the one who did something wrong. I'm definitely not recommending this company because if you give a little feedback, they make it seem like you were the problem. No thanks. Again, sorry maybe we were just not meant to work together but just take my feedback as something that you need improvement on. I'm the customer that you kept waiting. Not the other way around. That's the point of the review.
