If you buy a Hyundai here, dont expect to work with a helpful ans knowledge service dept. The…read moreservice dept. managed by Todd is rhe worse. He and I recommend you take your car somewhere else to be fixed. I have leased 3 hyundai tucsons here. One the transmission blew after 2years. They were accommodating so it wasn't ass big od deal( leased so the finacial burden wasn't a issue) Now my 2y/o car is turning off while driving it. It took 2wks for appointment where Todd told me After I arrived that I should have took it to AnnArbour. He has no knowledge of when he can provide a rental, or what's wrong with my car because him or Nicki didnt listen. So save yourself the heartache!

BEWARE: Zero integrity Do NOT buy a Hyundai from Randy…read moreWise! Hyundai has a known engine recall, and this dealership offers zero customer support for a two-time blown engine on a brand new car. My brand new 2021 Hyundai's engine blew due to a recall. The replacement engine (which I was forced to pay extra for tubes and add-ons on a brand new car) failed as well. Randy Wise refused to help with the second replacement cost, cover half, or even provide a rental car without charging me for it. I was forced to pay off the remaining balance on a brand new, undriveable vehicle while taking on a second car payment just to have reliable transportation. Despite executive leadership publicly claiming high standards of customer service on their profiles, this location suffers from high service department turnover, carrying vehicles with known engine recalls and terrible customer care.

I don't post often and have two shout outs. 1. Thanks,…read moreBosak Chevy in Michigan City, IN for the shoddy workmanship on 11/14/22 for the recall on our 2014 Equinox for our windshield wipers. 2. Thanks to Randy Wise Chevrolet in Flint, MI who repaired the recall again correctly due to the other dealer's shitty workmanship. Long story short. My husband and I traveled to Frankenmuth, MI for a couple of days heading home today. During a monsoonal downpour, our wipers quit working on I-75 South heading home. Luckily, we were very near an exit and were able to drive on the shoulder to a BP gas station which was just off the exit. Thanks to the clerk at BP who headed in the right direction. We had to have our Equinox towed to a nearby Chevy dealer who made the recall repair and we were able to return home safely. Bosak has just lost a long time Harbor Chevy customer! This is why I hate to fucking travel!

While the initial process of buying the car was smooth and I felt treated fairly, my experience…read morejust two weeks later has left me deeply upset and disappointed. I reached out regarding a significant issue with the front right wheel pulling hard, and what followed turned into an absolute nightmare. After securing an appointment, I dropped my car off at 1 PM, hopeful for a quick resolution. Four and a half hours passed with no communication from them, leading me to make two calls for updates. To my dismay, I learned they hadn't even begun to inspect my vehicle. The response I received was disheartening; it felt dismissive when they suggested I would have to cover costs that should have been addressed by them so soon after my purchase. I expected at least a simple courtesy of checking my car and providing updates instead of making me chase after them for information. After speaking with four different people and experiencing confusion over who was responsible for costs, the used car department finally offered to split the cost of a diagnostic. They promised to pick up my car the following Monday, but nearly a week has passed without any follow-up or scheduling communication. The lack of respect and communication throughout this process has been incredibly frustrating. One service representative, Todd, was particularly dismissive, treating my concerns as if I were overreacting and implying that I was simply making up issues. This is not how a new customer should be treated. Having only purchased my vehicle three weeks ago and already facing such a distressing service experience--despite having bought an extended warranty--I feel abandoned. The fact that I can't get a simple diagnostic covered after spending tens of thousands of dollars is truly unacceptable. Now, I am forced to spend $200 to have it serviced elsewhere. I will return to Randy Wise only when necessary for warranty work.

I brought my car to Applegate Chevrolet because the check engine light had come on. Shortly after…read moredropping it off, the service advisor called and explained that the issue was a faulty EVAP purge valve (purge pump). I was quoted approximately $103 for the part plus four hours of labor. Trusting their expertise, I authorized the repair. Afterward, I became curious about the labor time because four hours seemed unusually high for this type of repair. I did some research and found that the part is located on the top front of the engine and is readily accessible. Based on what I found, replacing it appears to be a relatively straightforward job that many mechanically inclined people could complete in well under an hour. When I picked up my vehicle, I respectfully raised my concerns with the service manager. He listened, acknowledged my concern, and said he would look into the labor charge and get back to me. Unfortunately, I never received a follow-up. I then contacted Chevrolet Customer Care, who opened a case and attempted to contact the dealership on my behalf. According to Customer Care, they also never received a response from Applegate Chevrolet. My biggest disappointment isn't just the labor charge itself--it's the complete lack of follow-up and communication after I raised what I believe was a reasonable concern. If there was a legitimate reason for charging four hours of labor, I would have appreciated a clear explanation. Instead, my concerns were simply ignored. Based on this experience, I can't recommend Applegate Chevrolet's service department. Customers deserve transparent pricing, honest communication, and the courtesy of a response when they have questions about their bill.

Extremely disappointing experience with the service department at Applegate Chevrolet. Brought my…read more2023 Blazer in for a routine tire rotation and multi-point inspection -- the vehicle was called ready in just 18 minutes, and immediately after leaving, it shook violently. It turned out the front passenger lug nuts had not been properly torqued, which is a serious safety failure that could have caused a serious accident. On a follow-up visit, a head gasket oil leak was identified -- something that should have been caught during the original "multi-point inspection" if it had actually been done thoroughly. When I asked whether the vehicle was safe for an upcoming out-of-state trip, I was essentially told it was fine to travel, with no real urgency communicated, despite this being a leak that in my opinion warranted more than a quick visual and dye check. At no point did this service department proactively flag any of these issues to me -- I had to push for answers every step of the way. Compare that to another local dealership I contacted, which offered a loaner vehicle and said they'd work through the weekend if needed to get me back on the road safely. Applegate offered none of that same consideration or urgency. Between the safety incident, the missed diagnosis, and the lack of accommodation, I no longer have any confidence in this service department. I would think twice before bringing a vehicle here.
