Unfortunately had a pretty bad experience here recently that ensures I won't be returning. I have been getting pants hemmed here for a few years now, and they've been fine. I don't feel like it's anything stellar but it's close to my house and convenient. Payment is required upfront before the service, which I don't like at all and I think is a pretty bad standard for a tailor, paying before you see the outcome of the service. I brought in a pair of athletic pants a couple weeks ago for a simple hem, and when I got home I noticed they had awful iron burns on the bottoms, I hadn't noticed when I picked them up as they were folded on a hanger with the one side that was okay facing out. These are completely sold out pants that were pretty hard to get in the first place and I was super upset. Went back in and she admitted they were iron burns and sometimes the iron is too hot, and offered to pay the price of the hem back. I was still pretty upset by this, as I took a perfect pair of $70 pants in and came out with horribly burnt ones. They're wearable, but it looks awful and is noticeable. My boyfriend went back and talked to her knowing I was so upset, to see what else she could do, and she insisted the pants couldn't be $70, he showed her the receipt and she told him to come back the next day for a refund in cash when she'd have it. She ended up giving half the cost of the pants back. My problem is that the iron burns were incredibly bad, for her to not have noticed them as she was ironing and mention it to me when I went back in for pick up is concerning, as it either shows a lack of attention to detail as she's working or that she was hoping I just wouldn't notice, which is pretty upsetting. These are very obvious, and anyone ironing the pants should have immediately seen them while ironing. They're in multiple places and the marks don't match up, showing that they were burnt and then the iron was moved and they were burnt again, it didn't stop after the first burn. I also don't at all like that she told my boyfriend she'd provide a refund and then gave half when we went back to pick them up, it just felt crappy and like she was trying to backtrack and not make it fully right like she had sounded like she was going to do the day before. If she had told him she'd pay half upfront and that was agreed on I'd be totally fine, but she indicated she'd be providing a full refund, which I think would be a good business practice, and is something a business I'd want to support would do. This just felt like she was trying to make it go away with the bare minimum, and like her mistake was somehow an inconvenience for her to fix. I'm just honestly very disappointed, and now if the pants do come back in stock and I can repurchase I don't even have the full cost back to do so, I'll still be out half the price trying to just end up with what I had before I took these in to this shop (a non burned pair). There are just way too many red flags here for me to ever want to return to this shop. If you want non burned clothes and want to support a business who doesn't act like their mistakes are an inconvenience to fix, and one who will make things fully right when they mess up, stay away from this shop. read more

Update: They called me back and offered to meet me Sunday to pick up my pants. Initial Review: I went to pick up my hemmed pants at 4:30 pm on Saturday and nobody was there and the door was locked. I guess they're not actually open until 5:00 pm on Saturdays. I needed these pants for an event and now I'm screwed because they're not opened Sunday and I needed them for Monday. read more

I have trouble finding jeans that fit me well and I happened to find a pair that fit well up top, but needed to be taken in at the calf. I popped into Right Fit Alterations one day when I was in that shopping center and the woman was so willing to help me! Very friendly and sweet. She was very upfront about the price, what would be required to be done to make the jeans fit the way I want them to, etc. I really appreciated that! She pinned them up, gave me my promise ticket, and sent me on my way! I picked them up yesterday and immediately came home to try them on. AMAZING! She did such an amazing job on them! She even sewed a double-seam on the jeans to continue on from the double-seam that is already on the jeans! I couldn't believe it - the quality is incredible! I will most definitely be taking other articles of clothing to her for more alterations. Worth every single penny! read more

I went here to get my dress altered for a wedding I'm in because I saw from other reviews that they could get it done faster for a slightly higher cost. I was actually thinking I'd have to spend $100+ just to get a couple inches off the bottom in a week. Fortunately, I told them my deadline and they said it was no problem and the cost was only $70 (and to get it done in 6 days, I thought that was awesome). Additionally, the lady that greeted me was so kind and offered help with other parts of the dress that I didn't even notice. Right fit alterations has been reliable and consistent. I needed some pants altered and it would appear her standard turnaround is one week, it also appears she can do expedited for a fee. I had absolutely no issues with my service, she had them done when I came in one week later and the alterations were completed, I returned to her for a second pair of pants as well. I think it would have been helpful to try the pants on upon pickup and also to receive a notification if they were done ahead of schedule, being an easy alteration I think they would have been done faster potentially. All in all, I think she is reliable and did the job I needed!! Everything is almost perfect and I appreciate that she is a super busy woman with a lot of garments. read more

I want to show some appreciation to the woman who I believe is the owner of the shop. I brought my uniform in to get properly fitted. The lady informed me it would take two weeks due to how busy she was but that she knew exactly what I wanted. Today I picked up my uniform and tried it on at home. It exceeded my expectations! Fantastic work, and I recommend anyone who is in Security, Law Enforcement, or as a first responder who wants their uniform to be taken care of to come here. FANTASTIC. Twice now, I have used Right Fit for last-minute bridesmaids dress alterations. I found the price to be fair for a last-minute alteration, and they explained exactly why the cost would be what it was. For example, I needed a formal dress hemmed and the waist taken in, and me being my slightly distracted self, I only left myself a week to do it before traveling to the wedding in another state. I called several alteration stores, and none of them would take me, until Right Fit! I came in the same day, and she fit me for the alteration and got it back to me in 5 DAYS!!!!!! Mind you, this was hemming a dress through 4 layers of fabric and taking in a bodice with boning in it, and she asked under $100. Worst service ever! COMPLETE SCAM Brought in three pairs of pants to have hemmed and taken in on the legs. At other alterations locations this normally costs about $25 per pair of pants. This lady charged me $60 a pair. I came back to pick them up and she refused to give me the pants unless I paid her more money. She claimed they took way more work than she originally thought. She then threatened to call the police if I didn't give her more money. So she charged me an additional $50!!! SUCH A SCAM! read more

I am a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding and we ordered our dresses from an online store. I was able to customize my dress based on my measurements but felt that the top/cup size may have been too big. I came in to Right Fit to alter the top but when I tried on the dress the lady in the store was able to verify that the fit was good and all I need is a push up bra to fill out the top more. Even though I didn't have any work/alterations done I really appreciated the ladies honesty and not charging me for something that wasn't necessary. I had an urgent need for alterations to my my work shirt. Nhu was not only kind and accommodating, but come to find, she's very skilled at her work as well. My work shirt is sleeveless and needed to be modified (more halter) and fitted to me. She was able to reshape and take in as needed and have it ready for pick up in 4 hours. The alternations place I have been going to for years is not longer doing alterations because the owner is ill and the business may be closing. So I looked up this place and drove right over. Being a police officer, I need alterations often. I needed a shirt altered, and what I needed was complicated, and I also needed it within a few days. I picked it up today and it was better than expected - near perfect - above and beyond - I was surprised. Someone had given this place one-star, and I don't see how, the quality was amazing, and the service was spectacular. I will definitely being going to this place from now on. I found this sewing & alterations business in May of this year. I had a pocket coming loose on a pair of cargo pants and took them to Right Fit. I showed the owner, Nhu, the problem with the pants. Though she had a lot of work ahead of her, she told me to wait and repaired the pants in less than 5 minutes! She was very gracious to do this and I was impressed with this type of service and her expertise! Her shop has a very nice welcoming layout. It is very clean and has areas for you to change clothing. There is a raised area with mirrors so she can pin clothing to where it needs to be altered. Everything is organised and it is easy to move around, and there isn't any clutter anywhere! I returned a couple weeks later with a new suit that I had custom made online. She had me put the suit on so she could see how it fit. Nhu said it was a perfect fit, however, she suggested shortening the pants a little so they weren't so baggy at the bottom, over my shoes. I agreed and a few days later they were ready and perfect to where she had pinned them to the new length. Nhu is truly a highly experienced seamstress and cares about the work she does, and she cares very much about her customers. She is also a wonderful person to work with and has a great personality. Each time I've been in her shop, other customers have come in and I mention that Nhu does excellent work. They all agree and say that they have been in before to have her do some type of alteration to their clothing, and they have always been happy with the work that Nhu did for them. I highly recommend Right Fit for any and all of your alterations or sewing. The pricing is very fair, the quality of work is excellent and the owner, Nhu, will treat you professionally. I had bought two dresses that were cheap to begin with and she barley charged to alter them and she altered them perfectly and I took them home after her altering them and a cat of mine got locked in a room with my dresses and peed all over them I bought a new dress on Easter and once I got it I took it immediately to right fit alterations and she had my third dress done and fitted perfectly to my body within one week! My previous alterations person had never really been great, even though she originally told me (14 years ago) that she had 27 years of professional alterations experience. Her work wasn't awful; it was okay, and she was a friend who needed the money, so I kept going to her. For the last four years, she has gotten progressively sloppier; and a year ago, she jacked up her rates to dollar amounts that were absurd, considering her final work product. I am short and need almost everything shortened or hemmed; sloppy and subpar alterations can completely ruin your look and make you look dumpy. I found Right Fit Alterations a couple of months ago, and I won't ever look back. I have brought in approximately 20 different articles of clothing, including some botched items from my previous alterations person (some rush for an extra fee; the others in the standard week or so turnaround); the work is excellent and the prices are extremely fair. read more
