However, the guys were fun, great personalities, and trustworthy. That right there meant alot to me. This is about my 10th state so Im a pro at unpacking/packing quick 24/7 and decorating. They were trying to keep my cost as low as possible which I truly appreciated but the gas for all the vehicles and the time, I needed more help than I anticipated. That's my fault. Although, if I would have been at the house instead of the apartment my son and I had to move in; the guys would've moved faster with my tunes...just kidding. I would hire these guys again and plan on it when I get out of here, permanently. No, I did not want to show how perfect their truck was. Just laugh at my abilities.

Abraham and Josh helped us with our move this time. Both of them were extremely professional with a great attitude. They're also so efficient! They were very thoughtful as well--throughout the move, they asked us exactly how we wanted the layout of our new place to be. They also took great care of all of our items and everything arrived scratch-free. They completed the job so quickly and it made the experience much less stressful. I used to dread moving days a lot more because of all of the unknowns/things out of your control that may come up, but they made the experience seamless! It's always very easy to schedule with David as well. His prices are very fair and he is always pleasant to speak with. He is also extremely transparent with pricing so we knew exactly what to expect. I've called a lot of movers in the past and in my experience, scheduling can sometimes be a hassle. I'll always rave about this moving company and if we ever have to move again (hopefully not any time soon!), I won't even think twice about hiring these guys again.

They were not the lowest quote we received, but we felt confident after meeting with the above man, and after a few of our neighbors recommended them, that they were worth the money. Unfortunately, we were wrong. They sent 4 crew members out and one truck. They arrived timely, and 2 of the 4 crew were incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful, but that's really the only positives from the day. One crew was new and would aimlessly wander and not work until someone gave him explicit instructions. One was kind of bossy and a little argumentative which we let slide because he was working and doing a lot. By 9:30 pm we had to ask them to leave. We have 3 kids, 2 under 6, and we needed to get them to bed. They were not done and even the crew stated they needed 6 people and two trucks to do this job in one day - no idea why it took them until the evening to admit this vs just calling the office at mid-day to get help. In all fairness, the company tried to make it right and sent, at no additional cost to us, two (very nice, very helpful) men two days later to help put together all the furniture they didn't have time to put back together on moving day (one was the gentleman from the original move day who was very kind and worked super hard). They also helped move furniture and boxes to the correct spaces that had been simply left in the garage moving day since we asked them to call it a night. We appreciated that gesture. They did damage one piece of furniture in the truck by not padding/packing it properly. We are going through the claims department and due to the weekend haven't had a resolution yet. I'm hoping that will be a positive experience. Also, we had tons of wall scuffs and dings after the move which was disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this company to others even though we were really optimistic about them in the beginning. It made for an incredibly long, stressful, and frustrating day.

We contacted Olympic Movers to help us do a local move in under a week. They came out and gave an…read moreestimate based on the amount of men, time and equipment that would be needed to complete the move and we agreed. The day of they showed up on time, worked courteously and diligently. Overall we were impressed with the work the movers performed. For the inital estimate they company insisted that a veteran member of the stuff visit the apartment to assess the job. The proposal offered by management was 4 men for 4 hours at the first location and 3 men for 3 hours at the second. On the day we only had 4 men for 1.25 hours and then 3 men for 11 hours. Our final bill was 26% higher than the estimate. I understand that an estimate is just that, and that it may take longer than you originally thought. However, if there is a drastic difference in what was planned and what was delivered in terms of man hours I think it's fair to ask for some consideration. When I asked management to decrease the bill to something more reasonable (which would still be 16% over the estimate; they refused). In addition they started applying pressure to me and my wife to pay immediately. They called my wife the day they emailed us their bill of loading asking for payment. They then called repeatedly the next day demanding payment, threatening enforcement of their contract and trying to drive up the pressure to get paid as soon as possible. The man had the gall to say that we should give them a good review since they showed up and worked so hard (this was the manager/assessor, he was not working as a mover that day). Again, I understand in this industry it can be difficult to collect on a service that was already delivered, but that was really not necessary here and using these tactics within one business day (we moved Friday, they emailed us the receipt Monday and started the pressure on Tuesday) of a major event seemed unwarranted. Overall would I recommend Olympic Movers? I guess I might with some caveats. Their movers did a fantastic job. However, their billing and sales leave a lot to be desired. If money is not a concern I would recommend them; if it is I'd recommend a larger or more reputable company that will deal with you more fairly. I say this because: - They made an estimate based on their own assessment of the job, changed the agreed upon allocation of men and failed to deliver within their timeframe which ended up costing us more. - They refused to accept responsibility on their end for the higher cost and refused to accept a fair comprimise for failing to meet their estimate. - They employed high pressure tactics to collect their money and solicit a positive review.

That was clearly communicated during the reservation process. Today I go to pick up the U-Haul at noon and there is a sign on the window that they are closed until 1:00pm. Because we were going to Everett to move we were in a time crunch with the ferries and lining up with the help on that side so I had to find another UHaul location that was out of my way to get the right size truck for the job. When I called to let someone there know about the problem and that I was not happy she just made a bunch of excuses about the reservation being at 9am. Really?
