We reported this incident immediately to HC. Alice, the owner contacted me and asked me to pay for the medical check using our homeowners policy. Are you kidding me, this was completely inappropriate - as they inspected our property before coming out and we were not the caregivers employer. We were losing our father and we were in no way financially responsible for this incident nor could we handle this kind of issue while facing the death of our father. I would definitely not recommend this company. I have been a healthcare administrator for over 30 years - and knew the procedures for employee incidents. This was so heartbreaking to have Alice to attempt to get us involved. I would not call this Heavenly Care........

We were assured that this would not be a problem. Clearly, it was a problem. The first time we scheduled the information we received from the attorney changed and so we changed the dates at the last minute and then had to cancel. Then our second attempt we were told that it took too long and too much effort to get caregivers for me and that because we had canceled at the last minute even though we paid the fee that was a huge inconvenience.

If you can avoid, Dr. Jake Huntzinger, do so at all costs. He is extremely inexperienced and…read morearrogant to boot. Without going into much detail, from the very beginning of the conversation, you could tell he lacked experience and confidence in his ability to diagnose and/or treat "complex" situations. He started asking me questions like "so what do you think the problem is?". Well, I'm not the doctor, he is. I said just that. He proceeded to say "yeah no I get that but like what did your other doctors think the problem was?" This told me all I needed to know. We discussed a few things, but nothing to do with what was actually going on with me present day. He was more interested in discussing the past and had no insight on what the next steps would or should be. When I asked him what the plan would be, his reply was that he didn't know. This then prompted me to ask him how long he's been working at this practice. I guess this upset him as he stood up, took his laptop and said we were going in circles and he walked out like the true "professional" he is. I wasn't going to just accept that this grown man "physician" could throw a temper tantrum after I took off work, waited two weeks for this appointment, and paid an $80 co-pay so I made the nurse go back and get him. Both nurses that came in with him (one the first time, another the second time) apologized sincerely after he was out of ear shot because they heard how ridiculous he sounded. Celia (one of the nurses) had let me know he was out last week for training, but it's clear it didn't help.

My morphine pain pump, of approximately 6 years, failed in late April, 2024. I'd been diagnosed…read morewith spinal stenosis about 20 years earlier & had a laminectomy, prescribed opiates, a spinal cord stimulator, etc during this time. I'd been having the pump filled in Georgetown, TX under the "direction" & "care" of Dr. Alan Dennis. He began the process with refilling the pump with morphine, which I didn't understand why he did that after just emptying it then proceeded, over the next 11 months, of withdrawing the new morphine from my pump! I was so exasperated after NO relief over a year, I decided to go to another Dr. On what was going to be my last appointment with him, it occurred to me to ask him the question, "Is there any type of test, procedure, etc. like a MRI, x-ray or CT scan that would show if the leads, for med delivery from the pump to my spine, were viable, working, or had they been disconnected or displaced somehow? I was so surprised when he said there was a "pump dye test" for that. I was incredulous!! Why had he not suggested that & done that test early on instead of ME, the patient, finally thinking about it 11+ months later. NOTHING he did, which consisted of prescribing several opiates that had NO effect whatsoever. So, I had the dye test done which he said showed no abnormalities so I told him I no longer had any confidence in his ability to help & would be finding another doctor. I have to ask WHY did it take nearly 12 months to withdraw such a small amount of morphine (or whatever) from that pump. I have my suspicions but won't go into specifics. This has been the worst experience regarding my medical issue EVER in my 78 years!!

Met with Right at Home representative when husband was brought home from the hospital…read more Representative quoted me $25/hr for sitting daytime and $35 for nights and weekends. Hired a sitter for 9am to 4pm. Did not want to give them access to my bank account for an automatic payment so gave them my creditcard. The sitter had nothing to do but let the dog in and out. When received the invoice, I was charged $36/hr. When I called the company, I was told that the first representative documented I would be charged $34/hr and since I put it on my credit card, I was charged $2 more per hour. I consider that rediculous. Watch out this place is devious.

My father and I hired this company to care for him after he was no longer able to be totally…read moreindependent after ripping a ligament in his leg and having surgery. I had asked the company and many others in the healthcare field if they knew of a lower priced home health agency because this one like others, was too expensive for my dad. Right At Home said no I suspect because they want to make a profit. They sent a wonderful employee out and she was a Godsend and like a paid sister to me with helping my father. A couple times she could not be there and they sent out 2 other women those two separate times, one a black lady who was very nice and the other time a young, lazy white woman who sat around and left her fast food trash for me to clean up! Sadly my father could not afford it and he thought he could be more independent and he got an infection and ended up passing away a few days later. Ironically APS had been called (a risk to himself) and THEY gave me a name of an agency that would have provided home health care my dad could have afforded. I had an appt. set up for the day he ended up dying. Meanwhile a few days after my dad died I got a call from right At Home. I expected it to be a sympathy call, it was not. It was the owner asking to be paid. THEY NEVER GAVE CONDOLENCES TO THIS DAY! It gets worse. My dad had them being paid on auto withdrawal and when he died this company and others drained that bank account. The whole estate went into probate and I could not access any money. I had to pay 20k out of my own pockets to pay my dad's mortgage, utilities, lawyer, etc. I asked the owner to stop trying to withdraw the funds automatically that it was costing the estate 35 dollars each time he tried. He did not care and ignored me. A year passed and I still had no access to my father's money. Yet I still get calls from this company asking for money. If they had stopped trying to withdraw the money from his account I could have had the money to pay them, I do not at this time. Also I will double check and make sure their accounting is in order because they may have already collected the money but have a lousy accounting system. As I have gone thru this hell of grieving and having to deal with the disgusting probate system and slimy lawyers, this company has been an added pest.
